1.Streaming is eating into Multichoice's profits. An Amazon prime and Netflix cost less than 5000 EACH a month for a package that offers you more than what Multichoice can offer

2.The economy is bad, and not just in Nigeria. Multichoice is struggling even in South Africa. In SA, for example, numbers of Premium subscribers are falling.

I'm surprised people still use DSTV. I sold my dish 2years ago, and never looked back or miss it. I have a 50mbps unlimited fiber network in my home for N19,500/Mo.

Politics / Re: Obi's Budget In 2009 For Governor's Office Was Higher That Health And Education by frugal(m): 10:14am On Dec 05, 2023
tinsel:
In 2009, when Obi was the governor of Anambra state, his 2009 budget for Governor's office was higher than that of education and health combined.
Compare below his 2009 budget with that of Chimaraoke.
Should we discuss how, under your leadership, Anambra budgeted N5.8 billion and N5.3 billion for the Executive Governor's office in 2009 and 2008, respectively, while the total budget for education was just N2.8 billion?

The way Obi talks about health and education, you would think he spent a lot on capital expenditure for them
- Governor's office : ₦5.8B
- Edu: ₦2.8B
- Health: ₦1.5B
Compare this with
@ChimarokeNamani
2005 budget:
- Governor's Office: ₦1.4B
- Edu: ₦10.7B
- Health: ₦4.3B

But he won awards for education and health.

Since Buhari's government phased out suddenly we've not heard of Fulani herdsmen attack on innocent farmers
The question now is have they stopped their atrocities or it was just a mere political tool to discredit the government of their brother?

After handing Tinubu the election on a platter due to your selfish ambitions. After causing undue hardship to the entire Igbo race. Nwokem, keep nolue ani.

You're an idiot. You didn't blame INEC for compromising the elections. You didn't blame the judiciary for selling out. You didn't blame Atiku himself for being over-confident and a tad selfish. But yeah let's shift the blame to Obi for daring to contest an election. Victim blaming is our forte in this part of the world.

Joe Ajaero took special interest in Imo State because it is his state. He wanted the labour issues in his home state to be resolved being the NLC president. The timing was to utilize the election to force Gov. Uzodimma's hand. He did nothing wrong to deserve the brutalization.

The fact is politicians want NLC to be emasculated but it is up to NLC members to bury their inhouse differences and fight to retain their relevance and power as the mouthpiece of Nigerian workers and common people.

However, NLC should do well also to distance itself from Labour Party. It is blurring things at the moment.

They own and control Labour Party. It is the workers’ party. But I get you, it gives room for opposition attack given that they’ve become quite popular and a force to reckon with recently. Labour Party was never an issue in the past because nobody knew them until now.

A whole NLC president nai them capture and beat like this, this one na confirm seefinish o eweleeeee 😂 😂 😂

Because he has failed numerous times to use the power he wields. So nobody takes him serious. The next time he calls for a strike, he should never back down or call off at the last minute. Just ground the Nigerian economy for 1 week with strike actions and see how they begin to respect him. That's how you keep a Government on its toes.

Always calling off strikes based on one nonsense agreement/discussion with a lying government will get you nothing but ridicule and disrespect.

ubest1:

They is 90% possibility Obi will sign one term agreement with the Northern bloc. The Northern bloc know presenting Obi/PDP with full Northern support he will win but their fear will Obi not want second term?.

Not that I buy into this, but hypothetically, such an agreement should come with a clause. "If you perform excellently, above our expectations, and meet certain KPIs, we would support you for a 2nd term". Leadership should be about who performs best, not who's from your tribe or region.

If Atiku would be contesting in 2027, he's likely to still get the PDP ticket. In that case an alliance would be the only thing to convincingly kick APC out of power, irrespective of whatever rigging mechanism they come up with. Atiku is more likely to agree to a one-term given his age. So I say Atiku/Obi (PDP/LP) in 2027 would be the easiest ticket to unseat APC.

But whatever happens, I believe there would be a major alliance between the PDP and the Labour Party in the coming elections. It's good 2023 happened the way it did. Now everyone knows clearly what each person brings to the table.

LOL. Says the party renting bishops up and down, and chose a Mu-Mu ticket to score Northern muslim votes. Refused to debate or appear for interviews. Same people who said "Him think na statistics we go chop" and "Obi importer and exporter. Why you do that". Those were the issues abi?

Master gaslighters.

Peter was everywhere telling people how he wanted to solve the problems of Nigeria. He attended large worship centers, schools, media houses, markets, etc. Kept telling people publicly not to vote for him because of tribe or religion, but they should look at his character.
