Hi, Please I need the information (or link to where the info is) regarding getting a Canada phone number before you get in to Canada. I tried to search for it but I haven't been able to locate it. Thanks. |

Kindly ask me the questions here. I don't have access to the email that I use on NL. Doziebest: |

Hi, I have responded to your initial post. Sorry, I didn't see it on time. ebixxx: |

One of the ADRs that I received was a request for evidence showing that I had access to the funds in my spouse's account. My spouse wrote a letter stating that, and we got it notorized and it was accepted. Remicynt: 2 Likes 1 Share |

ladymarshall: I suggest they answer no, because a yes response sets up a whole other pathway that will require 'body of proof' to get out of. Seriousness of a condition is subjective; what I consider serious may not be serious to someone else. Erbs palsy only limits the use of the affected limb, and may not be viewed as serious by every body. They don't want you to move in to Canada and require tonnes of money to manage your condition; however, Erbs palsy requires physical therapy/physiotherapy primarily, which will not be a burden to the entire Canada health system, unless of course the child has other major health needs not mentioned here. 1 Like |

ebixxx: If I were in your shoes, I will answer 'no' to the 'serious mental/physical disorder question (seriousness of an issue is subjective). Depending on how the doctor doing the medicals for your family reports your son's condition, you may or may not be required to provide more information. You may be asked to provide a letter from your son's doctor or physical therapist. I will suggest that you do the initial medicals and wait to see if they require additional documents/x-rays/letters. In my case, the additional medical requests were not sent to me as ADRs in my IRCC account. I received emails from IRCC and the hospital (others may have had a different experience). After I submitted my application and received AOR, I still had outstanding requests for letters from my dependent's physicians. When I was submitting my application, I wrote a letter of explanation detailing the facts about my dependents health, and how it was resolving and did not affect their ability to function right. 1 Like |

Yes, I suggest that you notorize your letter of explanation. That was what we did, and we submitted the letters as the 'legal name change document' as we had no other way of proving this. Notarizing a document is supposed to show that the information on it is true, and you can be prosecuted if found wanting. And yes, the letters were accepted, and we received our PPR shortly after. Waiting for COPR. Doziebest: |

Doziebest: I had a disparity with my name (my birth certificate didn't have my middle name, but some of my other documents had it. Also, my spouse's first name on their birth certificate was different from the 1st name that they had on all their documents. We received ADRs asking for evidence of legal name change. We wrote letters explaining the reason for the disparities and had the letters notorized. Those were the legal documents that we submitted. In your case, I will suggest that you do same even before you are asked. |

ifevictor:The requests for additional investigations came as emails from IRCC and from the hospital that did the investigations. The ADRs were not health related. They were for proof that I had access to the funds in my spouse's account (submitted a notarized letter stating this), legal name change documents for my spouse and I, because we changed our middle names at different times (we swore affidavits immediately and submitted), and for my birth certificate (I didn't submit this initially). If you have more questions, you can ask me here, so that others can benefit from our conversation. Thanks. 4 Likes 2 Shares |

It's PPR time. All glory to God. Many thanks to all the good people on Nairaland for all the useful information that you share. IELTS: September 8, 2018 Got into the pool immediately after I got my result. CRS score: 464 ITA: 3rd October 2018 Medicals: Nov 5, 2018. Additional investigations and letters from specialists were required, because my dependents had medical conditions at birth, and we were required to prove that those issues had resolved. This went on for about 2 months. ADR 1: Jan 12, 2019 Biometrics: Jan 31, 2019 ADR 2: Feb 6, 2, 2019 MEP: July 19, 2019 (Finally!) ADR 3: July 22, 2019 ADR 4: July 31, 2019 Ghost update: Aug 8, 2019 PPR: Aug 9 2019. Family of 5. 50 Likes 1 Share |

jjohndoe83: One of my dependents had a health condition a few days after birth, so they wanted a letter from a specialist indicating that the condition was resolved. We provided the letter within a few days and then we heard nothing from them in that regard for months. |

Hi all, I am aware that the COPR expiry date usually coincides with the expiry date of your medicals. My question is does the COPR expiry coincide with the date the medical was done, or the date that it was passed. I ask because I passed my medicals over 7 months after it was done. Thank you. |

Hi everyone, Please I have a question. My husband's name on his passport, marriage certificate and educational documents is different from the name on his birth certificate. He has been asked to provide a legal name change document. He doesn't have this, as he only replaced his middle name while growing up, but never did a legal name change. Please what do you advice that we do? Thank you. |

Hi, I have just a 28 days left for my estimated processing time to end. Should I be worried. I last heard from them over 2 months ago. Please I need your input. Thanks. |

Hi, Congratulations to all the PPR clinchers. Please I have a question. Besides my biometrics that reads 'completed', all the other things in the 'details about your application' section have not been updated in long time. In February, I was asked to provide a document which I did immediately. My estimated remaining processing time is 29 days. Do they usually update the status of all the application steps before the PPR mail will be sent, or can PPR mail land, even in the midst of all these 'we are reviewing...." and "we are processing..." that I have in my account? Thank you. 1 Like |
