Hi all.
Successfully got into Atlanta in Sat 12th Dec. Air France asked me to get a fit to fly from Port health and didn't even look at the one from my provider. Paid 1k for it, even though the woman there asked for 2k.
Had a 4hr lay over in France. Using the wheelchair service was a great idea.
Arrived Atlanta as scheduled. A couple of old folks used the wheel service too. I was the only preggers that I sighted though.
Me: Hi
CBP: Hi. (Collected my passport)
CBP: Where are you headed?
Me: I will be here in Atlanta for Christmas and then go to Texas next year to have my baby
CPB: O, u are having a baby too. Do u have family in Atl?
Me: Yes, and we always spend Christmas together. Was even here last here too. I lived in the US before and always spend Christmas with them.
CBP: How long do you plan to stay in the US?
Me: About18weeks
CBP: How long did you spend during your last visit?
Me: 3weeks. Was here with my husband and we left in January 2015.
CBP: Do you have family in Texas?
Me: No. I am getting a paid accommodation
CBP: Hotel or House
Me: House, Extended Stay
CBP: Place ur right 4 fingers here......
CBP: Do you have plants, snails, etc
Me: No
CBP: How much do u have?
Me: $9300 and cards for my bank accounts
CBP: How many bags do u have?
Me: 2 checked in and my hand luggage
CBP: Good luck
Me: Thanks, is that all?

He didn't ask for any document, even though I placed my envelope with my 'burden of proof' in front of him. My bags were not checked. My wheel chair guy wheeled me and my bags to the waiting area from where I was picked up.
Now chilling till my 1st appointment.

Many thanks to God and to all those who have been contributing here. Thanks to those that responded to all my questions.

To God be the glory. Watch out for part 2....

Greetings to everyone.
I had to move my travel date backwards by over a week, so now the difference between my arrival date in the US and my first appointment date is 23 days.
Do you think that I should try to move my appointment date backwards? I don't know if this can be a POE issue.
Thanks.

Welcomed my triplets on the 1st of December to the glory of God got discharged 2 days later from The Hospital of Providence East Campus (El Paso). Mama and baby girls are doing great.

Congrats! May they continue to be sources of joy to your entire family. Good to know that you didn't have to incur the dreaded NICU bills. Take care dear.

Hello just seeing this post and I know it will be unfair not to give back at least to the stage I have reached. I am also an expectant triplet mama left Nigeria at 24weeks and I have been in El paso for 10wks now. @Nogen is my mentor ooo and as she has said except you are staying with family there is no way you can cope by yourself till 2 weeks before delivery. Truth be told there is no EDD for a triplet mama it all depends on your progression. My Dr first said my CS would be scheduled for 32wks but as I progressed she realised I and the babies were doing good so she keeps moving it by one week which is good for me cause tge longer you can keep the babies in ghe shorter NICU time they will have. To be honest triplets birthing is expensive even in El Paso (which is considered to have the best deal price wise) because compared to a singlet you will do ultra sounds every visit with your Dr for 3 babies and that's extra cost and also you still have the "unknown" NICU bill but it's all worth it at the end. Be strong do your research and if you need any info you can pm me. I will be glad to help as much as I can.

Thanks. I will pm you when I have more questions. Take care.

Hi everyone.
Please o, I will be spending like 3 months in my birthing destination. Please what is a good number of nights or weeks to book for accomodation that will make sense for POE?
Also, for those that stayed in Intown suites Elpaso, did you pay before getting there?
Thanks for your usual kind responses.

Hi Everyone.
Thanks for your responses to my last post.
I have a letter from my Obstetrician stating that she's my doctor. I also have several email correspondence with her office. I however do not have a pediatrician yet. Do I need to get a letter from a pediatrician too for POE?
Thanks for your anticipated kind responses.

Mama beta wink you can also consider online shopping. Most have free delivery if you spend up to 50 dollars and u can always return whatever did not meet up to expectation

Depending on what you want to buy there is walmart, Macy's, toys r us, etc

Thank you.

Nogen:

My pleasure sis. Congratulations dear. As soon as you get there, try and buy all (basic things) that you would need before and just after the babies arrived. After delivery, when you have gotten enough strength and you have people who can help you out with the babies, you can go buy most of the things they will use as they grow. The reason is that you may not be able to shop as much as you would have loved to due to the pregnancy. Movement will become difficult as some point. You can send me a pm so I can give you further tips as I remember them.
Also, if mummy or hubby can make it ealier than that, the better for you. You would need someone beside you most of the time because as you progress, you won't be able to do much anymore. You will become mostly DEPENDENT. Even getting up or laying down on the bed will become quite tasking on your legs and waist. I'm not trying to scare you but it is an amazing experience. Make sure one of them is there with you early enough.

Thanks my sis. God bless you. I will definitely pm you for further information. Love to your family.

Lol.
@ Fruitybranch201, welcome on board sis. Don't fret. Pls s What are your concerns?

Thanks Nogen, for always coming to rescue of inexperienced missionaries.
Several people here have said that I should do my shopping when I get into the US, so I guess that has been partially addressed. But you know how it is with triplets; were you really able to shop before delivery?. I will be traveling alone at 23 wks GA, but my mum and husband will come like 2weeks to delivery. My main concern bothers on being able to get all that I require before my trio show up. Pls share your experience and any advice. Thanks a lot.

Ha,shine your eye o,i dont think its all hospitals in the us that are equiped to handle triple birth o. I think their rejection of you might be a blessing in disguise if they are not equiped to handle it.A Couple of people on this thread have had triplets and they discussed the issue in detail, take time and read their post before you enter one chance o

Thanks. I feel much better. Let someone not leave naija and then go and settle for less in Oyinbo land.
I know Nogen had hers in El paso and Oakbend is a no go area for triplets. My Challenge is that I haven't read of any triplet birth in Atlanta. If push comes to shove, I will just port to El paso. No room for stories o.
Thanks.

Hi. Pls has anyone delivered multiples in Atlanta recently? I was recently rejected by one of the three popular Atlanta hospitals on this thread. I initially felt sad because all seemed to have been going well until they got my medical report stating that I am having triplets. I am under 20wks and intend to get into the US at 22wks.
Pls does anyone know of any 'multiple birth friendly' hospital in Atl that accepts foreign patients? Do you have any other suggestions?
Thanks.
