Family / Re: Why Cant I Marry Two Sisters? by funkystanl(m): 9:20am On Dec 15, 2009 |
Got a prob, and never going to help you in dealing wit matters. Learnt to accept sths. Look, bigamy is totally different from polygamy. Even if you dont know law terms consult your oracle. Bigamy is a crime of marrying when one is still legally married to somebody else. Note the word legally. Polygamy is a man marrying more than one wife. Polygamy applies to a man only, bigamy applies to both man and woman. Bigamy is legal, polygamy doesn's state whether the marriage is legal or not. If the nigerian constitution is again polygamy, then even d law makers are to be questioned. Most of them are polygamist, however they are not committing bigamy cos their marriage is not legal. Ma'am seek to learn more and dont be too smart. Thank you for your time. |

Amazing! Apostrophe? Where? If its in the word cant then that's immaterial and uncounted for as this is not a formal section of this forum. Pls ma'am what section of the Nigerian constitution forbids polygamy? The law forbids bigamy and not polygamy. K? I posted the topic on two sections cos it applies to both. You mods in this forum need some kinda training and enlightenment. Go to foreign forums and learn. |

Education / Re: Mathematics Versus Law by funkystanl(m): 2:48am On Nov 25, 2009 |
Guys most of you getting it wrong. I wouldn't know what the poster had in mind but i dont want you to view it from the courses You've offered or offering in school. If you consider these two fields by profession I dont think one should be rated than the other. I'm a statistician/mathematician hoping to be a lawyer one day as i have passion for law. Looking at these two professions you'll discover that they both make use of logic and analysis. So how do you rate one than the other. Most Early mathematicians are known to be lawyers and politicians actively involved in the affairs of the state. Also in law we've got financial, corporate and tax law that deals extensively wit figures and mathematical analysis. It is in Nigeria that lawyers dont know maths. Critically looking at this a mathematician could solve a law case using his analytical skills at the same time a lawyer Who's mathematically inclined can do so. These two professions go side by side but many people dont know it and most of the professionals of these professions are stereotyped. If only we could learn from founding fathers, Mathematicians are meant to be involved in state matters givin them a way of knowing law and also lawyers are meant to be well trained in mathematics. No one should be more rated as they BASICALLY follow same principle of logical reasoning and analysis. Forget about pure applied maths stuff, abstract algebra, logic gates and others the basics is reasoning and analysis which is also much applicable in the law profession. Thanks. |

Hmmm.Celebrity takes 2 was fun2stic. Saturday's show was so entertaining. I observed these: *Change of Graphics. The previous show(oct 2007) graphics was much more better and captivating to this year's. *Ben Ogbiewi & Bimbo Akintola. These duo are wonderful. One representing d musicians and the other, the actors. Nice combination, good entertainment from both. *Fathia Balogun. Not a very good performance, but she really tried. I expected least but she really suprised me. Keep it up. *Zaaki Azzay. Even the judge Dayo Liadi(olori oko) knew he didn't dance well. Guess that's why he said he loves his determination to "dance". I cant believe it for the first time I saw Zaaki without a torch and Saw his "long head". He looks cute sha. *OBIWON. This guy is sure a good dancer. Check out his moves. Use of costumes to dance. Men He's good. Nice combinatio wit Lilian. *Yinka Davies. Think She's getting on the fat side. Nice dance. Impressive. But next put on tight short under that costume and shouldn't expose her thighs to us. Lol. *KEL. Just a fat chic. Did her best. *FAZE. Nice dance concept. Folake was really a nice pair wit him. *Stella Damasus. Unbelievable. I've never seen stella danced before. God! She's good. Nice dance concept wit Wale Roberts Who's sure a wonderful dancer. Stella was so energetic. Keep it up ma'am. *Fred Amata. Mr swagga. He sure tried his best with blessing. However his dance was a "copy cat" from Maltina Dance All finale (by a group of dancers). However, he did his best. I love his spirit and swag, at such age. *Yemi Blac. Never expected This tall dude to be good. But he was. Wit d dance drama together wit funke(is funke, wale roberts wife?). Yemi keep it up. *DAKORE. Wow. Wow. Wow. Fantastic dance from Dakore. Her dance was like a music video. Just too good. I love it. I give the best performane to d movie industry. Except fathia, they all did well. Good show. ** |

Celebrities / Don Jazzy Replies Kelly Hansome. Kelly Hansome Aplogizes. by funkystanl(m): 11:04pm On Nov 21, 2009 |
All is now clear that d 'maga don pay' crooner must have been regretting his action over recording a diss track titled igwe (komkom), on some of Nigeria music heavyweights. 'Igwe KomKom' was d 1st single off Kelly Hansome's upcoming album titled 'Names of Noise maker', where Kelly mockingly takes aim at Wande coal on several occasions, cleverly twisting Wande coal's own lyrics. Sources close to Kelly divulged that the yet to be release album is a collection of diss tracks aiming at different wave making artist in the Nigeria music scene. Kelly Hansome however stated recently "I love Mo-hits to death, I just had to say the truth in such a manner that there will be no war just because a fellow Don made a costly avoidable mistake. Wande Coal & Terry G are my boys so let there be peace. Thus says d ugly Igwe with d handsome mask on, this is just a peaceful warning from Ohaneze nde igbowe, ndewoonuo". The purported diss track confirms past rumors suggesting tension between Kelly Hansome and members of the Mo'hits crew. Word got around, suggesting that Wande Coal's 'who born the maga' was also directed at Kelly Hansome. Penultimate week, Don Jazzy aptly replied him saying 'Silence is the best answer for a FOOOOL" Source: http://nigeriafilms.com |

You definitely right dominique. If deeza n gnbohr dont know anything to say let them just read and keep their comments. What do we call dancing, internationally. Its not all bout dancing to your genre of music. There is nothin like fuji dance in int'l art. We've got disco, salsa, ballet, contemporary dance, among others. To be a good dancer you should be able to know all these. Lookin at d last show sultam danced disco which was not his style of music. So guys this show is not rubbish like you said, It simply follows int'l art. And when you talk of int'l art fuji, apala n some local dances are least recognised. |
Celebrities / I Am Going Into Torch Manufacturing - Zakky Azzay by funkystanl(m): 2:48am On Nov 19, 2009 |
When he set out professionally as a musician, his unique torch-bearing style stood him out instantly among the crowd. While some of those he started the journey with have fallen by the way side, 17 years down the music scene, Zakky Azzay is standing and releasing his 8th album entitled speed and also venturing into the business of torch manufacturing. His new album featured artiste like Eldee d Don (a friend since he was in Tribesmen), Adewale Ayuba (whom he sees as a legend), Obiwon (who his wife is a fan of, and his wife was actually the one that disturbed him to do a song with Obiwon and he did hoping that he would not snatch his wife one day ). "Even the torch lights is big business for me now because I want to go to China and produce my brand of torches. It will be called the Zaaky Azzay Torch & all my fans will get it free but if u are not, u have to buy". Education / Re: Is Direct Entry Selling Alongside Jamb by funkystanl(m): 11:40am On Nov 16, 2009 |
Truth is bitter, but it'll always be said. Sincerely, I've been cautioned against such statements since i was in sss2. That was in 2001. I 've always called "waec" wassce (pronounced wa-se) and "jamb" ume or pce depends on which. Think of it why dont people call pce "jamb" too? I always correct most of my friends who say such, except you say it wit pidgin english. Then I'll understand you are speaking pattoise. So accept correction and Let's say the correct thing if we want to speak good english. Thanks |

For candidates awaiting the Second batch list, dont forget to check out your names today on UI's website. @copy and paste, from the brochure, UI is one of the schools that has all states of the federation as its locality. However from its recent cut-off been released, I suppose it considers some states as its locality. From experience these states should be Osun, Ondo, Lagos, n OYO. |

Education / Re: Is Direct Entry Selling Alongside Jamb by funkystanl(m): 6:46am On Nov 16, 2009 |
However if you confused why not access jamb registration site, try accessing the DE registration if it opens then the form sale is available or beta still ask from any afribank or wema bank if it sells the DE form. |
Education / Re: Is Direct Entry Selling Alongside Jamb by funkystanl(m): 6:42am On Nov 16, 2009 |
Let's all endeavour to always right d correct thing. JAMB is an admission body that organises its exam. JAMB itself is not an exam. I suppose you talking about the ume alongside Direct Entry. Well JAMB dont sell DE form during the ume/utme. Its been sold about a month after the ume(exams) |
