Politics / Is Ireti Kingibe Pushing For Chaos In The FCT? Apparently Scared Of Her Own Win by G5politico: 1:51pm On Mar 15, 2023
https://aprokomedia.com/is-ireti-kingibe-pushing-for-chaos-in-the-fct-apparently-scared-of-her-own-victory/

The attempt by the Senator Elect of the labour party in the FCT, Ireti Kingibe, to cause chaos and provoke anarchy and lead to a total breakdown of law and order in the federal capital territory, Abuja, is rather unfortunate and unbecoming of the office she is fighting so hard to represent. Prior to her controversial victory in the elections for the only senatorial seat in the FCT, Miss. Kingibe started by announcing herself as winner even before counting of the ballots had started. she continued to make unguided remarks and comments during the period of collation in a bid to incite the public against INEC and other parties that took part in the election, as well as coarse the electoral body to do her bidding.

In an election which she claimed was filled with irregularities and further cancelations in some area councils as a result of reports of over voting, it was rather mundane when INEC mysteriously announced her as winner without any proper collation, neither did they address the irregularities in the FCT senatorial elections.

Before the controversial announcement, she had accused the returning officer of collecting over 500 million from the opposition parties, however she could not substantiate this self-serving and provocative claims because it now appears she was the one who had been able to buy out people in the electoral commission who in gestapo style, announced her as winner of the senatorial elections.

A few days after, she proceeded to whip ethnic sentiment and incite a tribal war between the indigenous people of the FCT and the non-natives. She accused them of being unqualified and incompetent to manage the affairs of the FCT and urged them to take a back seat.

AS a desperate politician she has continued to call all sorts of press conferences and has continued to mobilize individuals to spread false claims against the opposition and discredit even the electoral body which declared her winner.

In the usual pattern, the LP chairman has accused opposition parties of trying to alter a result that has been declared, the only reason they will make such a claim is because of the way and manner they were able to get their candidate declared as winner after 3 area council results had been cancelled.

There is every indication that her alleged frequent meeting with staff of INEC before and after the elections have been unsuccessful. She has deduced that she will not be able to defend her supposed victory through legal and appropriate means. This has resulted in nothing but a media campaing of calumy and direct calculated attempt to undermine the opposition parties and INEC before the court of public opinion.

The last ditch attempts to create panic and chaos, by mobilising non state actors to go about making inciting statements, to create a state of panic and tension and purportedly cause violence. We call on the security agencies to be vigilant as the intent is to cause a complete break down of law and order in the FCT.

While the other candidates have called for calm from their supporters and will seek redress in the legal ways necessary, the Senator elect of the LP has continued to raise false alarm every other minute in an attempt to cause panic and tension to cover up the messy coalition and announcement of results by INEC at the senatorial election.

20 years of contesting speaks a lot
about the desperation of an individual to
have a seat in the senate. How different
is she from Atiku?

After contesting this one seat for two decades, it is a shame her emergence can only be attributed to riding on Peter Obi’s wave and her undemocratic crusade.

All political prostitutes without any ideology aside their selfish interest always have reasons for going from one party to the other, either they were 'forced' out or there is confusion in the party or the party refused to give them preferential treatment by micro zoning positions to them, etc.
Any reason is acceptable as long as the person concerned is untouchable that cannot be criticized but others can be chastised.

If Ireti Kingibe decamps to APC, LP is at liberty to ask her to vacate the seat. We will go to court to enforce it and make that seat too hot for her and any LP member that decamps while carrying LP's mandate to another party. People have lost seats in the national assembly for decamping. Thank God that the law against decamping as a lawmaker has been strengthened. It is no longer business as usual.

The same courts that gave lawan his seat back , the same one that is fighting our mandate with us

You guys can't trust anyone not Igbo, can you?

How do you trust someone who is saying one thing and doing the other. If you can be in pdp and later Apc you can't be trusted.

Rubbish. Of all the people in the LP, you picked the only female Senator.
When you have finished slapping your wife and calling all the successful women in your vicinity, Ashewo, remember to praise your mother and sister, with that same mouth, you used in insulting other women.

Delialah is in our midst, be there doing feminist, this mandate will not be lost to naive people like you , you are defending this political prostitute.

The Kingibes are APC. She would likely be the first Labour party person to decamp after the dust settles.

Since the controversial and tainted elections that held on the 25th of February, it has been a familiar but uneasy journey for Peter Obi. The Labour party presidential flag bearer and leading candidate till the election results were announced in the early hours of the morning while men slept. as reality has set in and the battle has begun there are many that were with him but are no longer on his side. Many of them have been able to achieve their selfish aims and ambitions. The fight which will most likely end at the highest court of the land has only begun as one will expect with INEC and the ruling party seemingly hand in gloves. it's a battle of the people versus the strongest forces imaginable.

Along the line we saw the LP get some seats in the National Assembly which is key to any political success. with a divergent approach we saw people who had no political background run on the platform of the Labour party and win. A great win for democracy. in this same stroke of Obi grace, we have had some of the usual suspects sneak in and join the party. They are everywhere you turn but have remained quiet as we battle to save a mandate and most likely the future of this nation, we call ours.
Ireti Kingibe is a strong member of the old guard, she has been in SDP, PDP, APC and has finally come to the Labour party. 20 years she continued to run for office while enjoying juciy government board appointments from her friends and cronies in power. she dines and wines with the top echelon of the APC, a place where untill a few months ago she use to call home. An ardent supporter of Sen Tinubu and president Buhari it is no suprise her recent antics have come in to play.

Mrs KIngibe who turns 70 soon has refused to support the fight to reclaim the mandate of the stolen election because of her victory at the polls over Sen Aduda of the PDP. She in her first acceptance speech ignored the party, its presidential candidate and refused to acknowledge
the irregularities with the electoral process. After backlash on twitter, she proceeded to put up another one 2 days later when she tried to cover her tracks .it is rather unfortunate that people like her are the first beneficiaries of the good and hard work of ordinary Nigerians and Mr. peter Obi.

As she heads to the election petition tribunal to defend her mandate, she is part of those trying to dissuade Mr. Obi from retrieving his mandate at the court. although we do not need her support to emerge victorious it is painful that she has only been participating in photo ops with Mr. Obi but does no press conference or attended anyone that is not about herself. This is not the kind of person we need to fulfil and actualize our dream of a better Nigeria. in the last 20 years she has not contributed anything meaningful to the people of Kwara, Borno or the FCT. Her husband who is still a major supporter of president "elect" Tinubu has paid numerous visits to him before and after the election.

people like this must be weeded out before the sabotage is complete and the gnashing of teeth and wearing of sack cloth when they eventually show their true side. For someone who is already attending meetings on which APC senator to support the aspirations of becoming senate president. in the upcoming elections, obidients be wise, let us not open the door to our enemies.
