Politics / Between Ibb And Obasanjo? by gadogado(m): 5:52pm On Aug 24, 2008 |
what do you say the differences between these two men are?? Both are heavily corrupt but why is it that IBB has been able to retain the loyalty of many Nigerians of all tribes, religions and creed? and Baba is getting pushed down a steep hill, he's dying slowly (politically) he's losing his loyalists with evidence of this being moves to remove him as BOT chair of the PDP. What would you say is the cause of this?? and what would you say is the 1) biggest difference between the two, 2) the biggest similarity, 3) the biggest achivement and 4) the worst problem they caused for nigeria?

@deepzone gadogado and axis are different people, i dont know axis but i think he's an intelligent and articulate man. he knows what he's saying!! unlike yourself! and im lebanese born and raised in kano then finished secondary school in lagos. so im nigerian but not black!! my whole family speaks fluent hausa!!!FLUENT and we consider ourselves nigerian of lebanese decent. @axis ka manta da mutanen nan, mahaukata ne!! sai arewa, ko da me kazo an fi ka. amma baza su gane ba, arewa ta fi karfin shegu. |

@deepzone what do you feel when white people say this about you, have you read the lugard memoir i posted? you should!!how does this make you feel?? me, im not black, im lebanese but grew up in kano and lagos. my parents are lebanese born in lebanon. so how does this make you feel?? when powerful british intellectuals and officials say blacks are close to animals in terms of demeanor. what goes through your mind? when many white intellectuals say you are a lesser human being therefore closer to the animal than other races of the human family, what do you think??how does it make you feel you cant even prove them wrong. i think "from my experience" blacks are less intelligent than whites or lebanese people. prove me wrong if you can?? do you agree that you're inferior? |
Politics / Re: To Hell With Your Oil, North Tells South by gadogado(m): 10:40am On Aug 18, 2008 |
@deepzone @axis @nairaland posters Nigeria cannot develop because we are black according to lugard!! you're black and you cannot develop because you are by nature an idiot with animal brain. Meaning you're all animals!!! CAN YOU PROVE HIM WRONG?? PROBABLY NOT!!! you're just black and have limited intellectual capacity!!!This is the problem with north, south west, south-south, south east, you people are just black, if you took all the blacks out of nigeria and put them in england and took all the whites from england and put them in nigeria, in 20 yrs time, england would be destroyed and nigeria would be developed and beautiful. why? BECAUSE YOU ARE BLACK!!!!!BLACK BLACK BLACK. IT is in your nature to be underdeveloped. |

this is what lord lugard thought of nigerians, he was the first british colonial governor general of nigeria meaning he was responsible for amalgamting the north and south into one country, this was in his memoirs: "In character and temperament, the typical African of this race-type is a happy, thriftless, excitable person. Lacking in self control, discipline, and foresight. Naturally courageous, and naturally courteous and polite, full of personal vanity, with little sense of veracity, fond of music and loving weapons as an oriental loves jewellery. His thoughts are concentrated on the events and feelings of the moment, and he suffers little from the apprehension for the future, or grief for the past. His mind is far nearer to the animal world than that of the European or Asiatic, and exhibits something of the animals’ placidity and want of desire to rise beyond the State he has reached. Through the ages the African appears to have evolved no organized religious creed, and though some tribes appear to believe in a deity, the religious sense seldom rises above pantheistic animalism and seems more often to take the form of a vague dread of the supernatural" “He lacks the power of organization, and is conspicuously deficient in the management and control alike of men of business. He loves the display of power, but fails to realize its responsibility , he will work hard with a less incentive than most races. He has the courage of the fighting animal, an instinct rather than a moral virtue, In brief, the virtues and defects of this race-type are those of attractive children, whose confidence when it is won is given ungrudgingly as to an older and wiser superior and without envy, Perhaps the two traits which have impressed me as those most characteristic of the African native are his lack of apprehension and his lack of ability to visualize the future." |

@deepzone at this point im convinced you are totally ignorant of the north, you are either very old or totally ignorant of the north or northern enterprenuers, wow, you dont know anything, why are you mentioning all these old people!! most of whom are ex military men or government officials, dont you know that hausa people are traders!!! wow, you didnt know this? i can list many many businessmen for you, im not talking about govt. officials who steal but businessmen as in traders with int'l dimensions who are northerners, people you dont know coz you're ignorant, you're hiding in a box somewhere and you cannot even see beyond it, with your pre-historic knowledge. Northern businessmen alhaji dahiru mangal alhaji mohammed indimi alhaji abdul samad isiyaka rabiu alhaji isiyaka rabiu alhaji isa funtua alhaji zanna mai deribe alhaji (late) waziri mohammed alhaji mohammed knight alhaji hassan adamu alhaji aminu dantata (there are many different dantata's) alhaji alimi abdulrazaq alhaji sani bello alhaji usman albishir alhaji tijjani dagazau look mr. deepzone, theres nothing deep about you, its just that you dont know anything, all the people above have noting less than a billion naira!!! and are businessmen, i would've listed much much more but i have to go and pray!!!educate yourself before talking, its so so so so obvious that you have very little exposure to the north so thats why i cant blame your ignorance!!! |
Politics / Re: To Hell With Your Oil, North Tells South by gadogado(m): 6:17am On Aug 12, 2008 |
@deepzone If you want to talk about other seasoned diplomats on the int'l stage, we have ambassador yusuf maitama sule, ambassador shu'aib uthman yolah. bankers, we have umaru mutallab who is that chairman of the board of directors for first bank nigeria limited, he oversaw the internationalization of the bank (the opening of branches in europe) accomplished authors we have Dr. Ladi hamalai, read her excellet desertation on government business relations in Africa. literary authors, we have abubakar gimba!!! just as the south has wole soyinka!!!! engineers, we have kashim a. ali who is the president of nigerian society of engineers, eng. I.K Inuwa, engr. bunu sheriff musa and many many others. medical doctrors, check out prof. umaru shehu!!!!!or ishaya audu. so mr. deepzone, dont be too assumptive, i just put you to shame listing northerners who are specialized and top notch in all their respective fields. Dangote did not make money from the govt. he made the bulk of his money not in "oil" but in flour and sugar business, he built a spaghetti factory, he is not in the contract business, he is an industrialist (meaning he builds factories that produce goods which he sells for profit) he then acquired a dying cement plant and rejuvinated it and now he has even bought more cement factories and he is the richest black person in the world, he is from your country so you should be proud of that!!! |
Politics / Re: To Hell With Your Oil, North Tells South by gadogado(m): 5:37am On Aug 12, 2008 |
@deepzone Prof. ibrahim h. umar Prof. umaru shehu prof. aminu abdu zaria even our current president, yar'adua is a graduate in analytical chemistry, seriously, the north is more than half of nigerias population meaning between 70-80 million people and you think there isint a single person in that 80 million people that is a qualified (internationally recognized) scientist, come on, lets not be ignorant, please try to open your mind, just because you dont know them doesnt mean they dont exist unless you're assuming that you know everything and everyone!!! ayou can read about all the above people, just google them or whatever, there are many many others, read about ibrahim h. umar!!!!!just read about him!!!!!!!!!! |

@Arnold1, so what? he can be yoruba but he's a northerner, that name "gambari" is hausa, look for the translation ot it, it is a word in hausa language!!! He is a northerner just like saraki who happens to be chairman of the northern union not afenifere or ohanieze but "northern union", or is it that you think that the north is comprised of only hausa and fulani people, if you think that then its unfortunate!!!!the north is comprised of many, many tribes and ethnic groups including yoruba, theres hausa/fulani, kanuri, nupe, jukun, gwari, babur and atleast a hundered others, it doesnt mean that if you're not hausa/fulani then you're a sub northerner!!!! for your information, there are yoruba northerners!!!the north is a geo political region that is made up of many many different tribes, its just that the hausa/fulani have the greatest population and thereby the most dominant group in the region!!! gambari is a northerner, atiku abubakar is not hausa/fulani, his real tribe is 'ganye' IBB is not hausa/fulani, he's gwari so is abdulsalami abubakar, abacha is not hausa/fulani, he is kanuri (cant you see his tribal marks), yar'adua and shagari are hausa/fulani. So dont be narrow. the north is a geo political zone made up of many tribes and religions, former information minister jerry gana is a christian from niger state. But all northerners have a cultural affinity that is distinct from igbos or yourubas. have a good day. |
Politics / Re: To Hell With Your Oil, North Tells South by gadogado(m): 10:25pm On Aug 11, 2008 |
@deepzone you wanted two names right? ok, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, the only nigerian on forbes magazine, an industrialist, internationally recognized business mogul with interests in international businesses and owner of $3 billion conglomerate (dangote group) Prof. ibrahim gambari, international diplomat, well recognized, was sent to Myanmar by UN secretary general, ban ki-moon to negotiate with their military junta which came to a successful conclusion. a statesman, very intellectual!!! The fact that yorubas work menial jobs in the north is true and theres no way you can say they dont, theres no way you can say all yorubas are educated, with obasanjo being the most educated abi?? you know it is true, poverty is far reaching and nigerians of all tribes live in abject poverty, even yorubas so quit thinking that you are special people!! yorubas do menial jobs like pumping air into your tires by the side of the road all over the north and im pretty sure thats a menial job that doesnt earn a whole lot of income, Who told you that maryam babangida is igbo?? do you know her? he maiden name was maria king, the king family are from niger state, she is only half bendel from her mothers side which is how shes related to sunny okwogwu. and el-amin is just one school!!there are many others!!! theres abti american university which was built by former vice president atiku abubakar and is the best university in nigeria, it is in yola, adamawa state. by conventional ranking, Abti american university is the best tertiary institution in nigeria, built by a northerner and located in the north. How can obasanjo "expunge" northerners from government, its not like he's completely crazy!!! The north politically controls that country!! and after we develop the alternative energy of processed sugar cane conversion, then you can really go to hell with your oil. like i said, this is something that is already being done, the ground works are in the process of materializing, so keep talking!!!its not hydrogen fuel!! its CH3-CH2-OH which is straight alcohol base processed from sugar cane, we have abundant sugar cane in the north, Brazil has already done this, their oil importation has droped significantly, so i dont know what you'e saying!!!! you should learn to be more respectful!!! |
Politics / Re: To Hell With Your Oil, North Tells South by gadogado(m): 10:19am On Aug 11, 2008 |
@deepzone you should be more respectful!!! lets keep it like that coz you say hausas will lead you and also be your servant/shoe shiner or what have you, there are also many yorubas that do menial jobs and manual labour all over the north, hope you are aware, and i went to school in the north so i dont know what you're saying, dont be too perceptive and judgemental, we have solid schools in the north, el-amin school is owned by maryam babangida (former first lady) and is in the top 5 best secondary schools in the nation and its located in minna, niger state. Did you know as you're here talking, there are people (northerners) making deals for alternative energy, in america, some cars use ethanol which is processed corn, they turn corn into energy and use it to run their vehicles (modified ones) its a combination of corn(ethanol) alcohol and 15% petrol. In the north, we have plenty of sugar cane growers, infact abundant!! they grow sugar cane in abundance, and they're planning to turn that into energy same as the ethanol conversions in america. This is called alternative energy, the conventional energy is oil!!!but the north is moving to alternative, deals are currently being made, oil will soon become obsolete, a thing of the past and when that happens, we will see who you'll be doing yanga for. to the extent that you're calling people parasites (what an insult) well our governors are taking this alternative energy seriously just as they're doing in America due to the high cost of gasoline!!! thank you for your compliment that i speak decent english but unlike you, i dont pride myself in speaking another mans language, |
Politics / Re: To Hell With Your Oil, North Tells South by gadogado(m): 2:50am On Aug 11, 2008 |
@Arnold1 let me refute everything you said, first, Governors of kogi, kwara and benue states are bonified members of the northern governors forum. In the north as a region, there are four sub regions namely; the north east, the north west, the north central and the "middle belt" some states in the middle belt are considered north central!! but by virtue of cultural affinity as opposed to political kinship, they identify with middle belt, they're all north just coz there is an association of north eastern governors doesnt mean borno, adamawa, bauchi, yobe, taraba and gombe states arent north or just coz there is a middle belt forum doesnt mean they are not north, im sure the saraki family will disagree if you called them anything other than northerners, infact, Dr abubakar olusola saraki is the founder and head of 'northern union' and he is from kwara state. There is no sharia in adamawa, taraba, nassarawa and plateau states, does that mean they're not northern states? even in kaduna, there's no sharia, the former governor implemented it and after the riots there, the idea was abandoned, according to your logic, all these states would be non northern states, can you see how your thinking is flawed gideon okar is dead, so pls dont bring him up, we're talking about the current situation not 1990 or whenever than coup was busted!! im sure there are a few elements (minority) in that area that are inclined to the south may be coz they were brought up in a southern state and they'd want to see the so called "middle belt" states go to the south in case of a break up just as there are a few elements in sokoto state who may want to be a country of their own but we're talking of a minority, very small minority!!! Have a good day. |
Foreign Affairs / Re: Who Is Real British? by gadogado(m): 12:49am On Aug 11, 2008 |
@sunnykiss, i disagree with you, people who are real brits are people of anglo saxon heritage, thats their root and theyre british and white, the blacks are there coz of migration whether recent or long ago but the whites are the real britsh (rooted) during the romans, they were called gauls and were supposedly "primitive" those gauls are cousins to germans through their language group and to french through heritage. gauls became anglo saxons after the enligtenment and they are now british. As for americans, the true americans are the native indian people who have been there for thousands of years, the whites first came to america a little less than 500 years ago which is why they call it the "new world" coz they discovered the place they didnt know existed. they then migrated there and decided to get blacks to work as labourers to build the place while killing off the natives at the same time. So blacks and whites went on boats and the natives are americans by root. |
Foreign Affairs / Re: Honest Question For African Americans? by gadogado(m): 12:28am On Aug 11, 2008 |
umm, here's why, its not about the appointment of condi rice or colin powel, dems stand for liberalism and social change. Democrats tend to be more liberal and own up to the harsh experiences of the black man through out american history, they are responsible for affirmative action and similar problems that are closing the gap between black and white advancement and opportunity. Dems are just socially liberal and and always champion the rights of minorities to include latinos and native americans, this has been going on for decades. Republicans are the epitomy of the white establishment, the white power structure and their interests are to maintain their upper hand in society o their priviledge, the most far right republicans have an inclination to be racists in most cases from what i tell. They're against programs like affirmative action (they call it reverse discrimination), they are against so many social programs that are against the interests of minority groups in america, at the grass roots level that is. They are just social conservatives and their line of thought goes like this "slavery happened a long time ago, get over it and know your place" This is how i see it. |
Politics / Re: To Hell With Your Oil, North Tells South by gadogado(m): 9:20pm On Aug 10, 2008 |
@Ibime, why are you talking about gideon orkar, isint he dead? he's been dead for years so please focus on the current situation, i dont think saraki will want to go with anything but the north or the attahs from kogi will not want to go with anywhere but the north. neither would david mark from benue state. The same north can also sell their food produce and cash crops to cameroon, ghana and benin republic or whatever country. You think the europeans will sell wheat at the same price as you buy it now?? wow!!! even if they sell it at the same price, dont you think after all things considered, the cost of transportation would push up the price of wheat that is coming from europe as opposed to wheat coming from the north?? you cannot possibly beleive that wheat bought in commercial quantity from europe will cost the same as the one coming from the north, i dont think that even makes sense. pls rethink your comments. You may underestimate the north now but beleive me, if you break away, you will feel it alot. then you'll go and start squabbling with each other over oil, you'll call the non oil producing states in your region parasites, and you'll have problems with them, it is not all south south states or south east states that produce oil abi? something that does not even come as a result of your productivity, it is a naural resource that is deep down in the ground, you cannot grow or farm oil abi? i think its just petty. its a natural God given resource that you saw there and you did not work for. you're saying north is not producing, nobody is producing to full potential in nigeria not even the south south, everybody in nigeria is relying on oil that is produced by euro-american conglomerates, we dont even have the technology to extract the oil for ourselves, niger delta is not "producing" anything, the oil is a "NATURAL RESOURCE" which does not in anyway imply "PRODUCTIVITY" of those people, if for example, the niger delta was like Japan (PRODUCTIVE) using nothing but human resources and the north was the way it is then i'd say the cry is legitimiate but it is not, if today the oyinbo people invent an alternative form of energy (which theyre talking about,if you're in america, you know this) which totally replaces petrolium, then what? will you still want to break up?? or call people parasites?? if tomorrow they say, your oil isint worth a damn,we have found another way to make our future cars run, then what will you do? |
Politics / Re: To Hell With Your Oil, North Tells South by gadogado(m): 8:36pm On Aug 10, 2008 |
@Texcee, Im pretty sure benue, kogi and kwara are north, do you think that if the country breaks up, the "middle belt" is going to form a separate country or are they going to join the yorubas or igbos? you should know better!! kwara is bonified north just ask the sarakis who are members of the Arewa consultative forum, ask the emir of ilorin who dresses like the emir of kano. Go to Kogi and ask their former governor abubakar audu and the current one ibrahim idris, they'll tell you theyre northerners, ask senate president david mark who's from benue where he's from, he'll tell you the north so what you're saying doesnt make sense. there is no such thing as "middle belt" only southerners want to create it so that northerners have less power as per divide and conquer. But the truth is theyre nothing but northerners, going by your analysis, plateau state would also be "middle belt" and so would niger state but im sure if you ask former deputy president of the senate ibrahim mantu whos from plateau state, he'll tell you he's a core northerner and if you ask former president Ibrahim Babangida whos from niger state, he'll tell you he's an authentic northerner. so what you're saying is inaccurate. and i told you that map was inaccurate. this is not how nigeria's food production 'demography' is and its never been so, where does all the beef and dairy products come from?the sugar nko? how about the beans and the maize most cereal crops come from the north so continue dreaming!!! |
