How much do you love mathematics.

Mathematics is the only subject that I so much appreciate during my days in the school. While others( my colleagues) were afraid of it,i was so much in love with it. I have practiced mathematics so long that I was able to create different formulae to tackle different questions both in calculus and pre- calculus. For instance, in both monic and non-monic quadratic equation, known methods like: completing the square principle, method of substitution, etc are used,but I managed to create a very simple and clear method to get the two roots of X. The method is nicknamed
" DESA ODER". This method involves series of steps as D(derivative) would be performed first followed by,E(expansion),S(subtraction), and A(addition).
This, among others,is the benefits of being obsessed with maths.

I need your objective opinions, suggestions and answers:

I'm a christian but not 100% affiliated to any church. I've been to the Catholic church, Anglican church, Winners chapel, RCCG, and Christ embassy. But lately, i just find myself staying home on Sundays and just read my bible and once in a while watch Joel Osteen for 30 mins on TV. I consider myself an open-minded, nonconformist christian.

I've been criticized by 2 of my friends who said i'll not be blessed and receive prosperity if i don't attend their church or crusade. I was shocked by this. My questions are:

1. Is Christianity all about prosperity? it seems that's all i hear them say. The last time i went to a church (name withheld) and didn't give any offering, people around me including the usher frowned at me and gave me that disappointing look as if i had committed a crime. After service, i was shocked when one of church elders confronted me and said i need deliverance so that i can prosper and pay my tithes and offerings. I told him i already paid my tithe by donating to an orphanage and that i'll be donating to Red cross next week. He frowned and walked away.

2. Is God's blessing or presence restricted to only certain locations and at certain times? For example only at the crusades organized by Winners chapel, RCCG or Christ Embassy? Will i be condemned or not receive any blessings or prosperity if i don't attend?

3. Back to tithing and offerings, i told my 2 friends that my offerings and tithes goes directly to orphanages, homeless shelters, Red Cross, charities that help refugees and victims of various abuses, etc
i was criticized for this and was told to give to the church directly if i want to be blessed and prosper more.Is this also true? Does it mean i'm not a cheerful giver?
4. When these various crusades are held with millions generated from offerings. Why can't these millions be channeled to orphanages or to help refugees or victims?

5. Nigeria is reputed to be one of the most religious nations in the world.There are so may places of worship in Lagos with new ones opening up every week, which makes Lagos the city with the highest number of places of worship per capita. But still so much corruption, fraudulence, ethnic animosity, cheating, etc among ourselves but yet we are still faithful worshipers of our different faiths. There seems to be a disconnect between our moral behavior and our religious faith?

6. I've also noticed the competition for materialism among the big churches in Nigeria. From number of private jets, luxury cars to mansions. Why is this so? Shouldn't the churches be focused on humility,righteousness and heaven. But it seems they are building and acquiring the wealth - heaven here on earth? I don't see this kind of materialism or competition among the Imams or other religious leaders? Correct me if i'm wrong.
