Politics / Re: #NorthIsBleeding: Group Calls On Southerners To Join Protests Against Banditry by Gbigbon: 10:36am On Dec 15, 2021
To support what? During the last protest against police brutality (aka ENDSARS) in the country, the northern elites said it was all southern affairs and a ploy to destabilise the country and remove PMB. They went further to say that they are not against SARS. So why should the south be called upon to support the activities and atrocities of bandits/terrorist in this part of the country when it is their creation thinking that Jonathan will not hand over power. Let them continue to bear and enjoy it. Simple.

You would have complemented this display by also showing the Governor's private residence side by side the school buildings.

This is very unfortunate. I was amongst the people defending PMB on his age when it was becoming a controversy and the other opposition parties especially the PDP capitalizing on it. Its very disappointing that he will later come to acknowledge his age as an impediment to performance. This is not acceptable.

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: vacancies At Beni American University by Gbigbon: 2:40pm On Jun 22, 2015
I doubt the existence of this proposed university. What is the big deal in hiding the location of the university?
Applicants should be very careful before someone will start asking you to make payment under some funny names.
Thank you.

Most of them are just in the house to make up the numbers and make money for their pockets.
Politics / Re: NASS Election Coup: We Must Return To Regionalism Now - Dele Ogundele by Gbigbon: 11:49am On Jun 12, 2015
I thing it is high time the South East and South West come together as one and agree on a common ground regarding issues of national interest. They should shed their arrogance, suspicions etc. This is the only way we can fight northern domination in Nigerian politics.

At the end of it all, the government will provide employment for you.

I think the problem lies with their leaders. The youths have been so brainwashed that they prefer studies in Islamic matters to western education. Their system has also encouraged it. Most of the schools in the Northern, aside those established by private individuals, are Islamic schools, whose major subjects taught are Islamic in nature as against the secular subjects. They believe that if you achieve a certificate in Islamic studies, you have known everything and acquired education. At the end of it all, the government will provide education for you.

Well quota system did not help matters too.

Career / Re: HND Holders: How Late Is Too Late For A BSc? by Gbigbon: 1:53pm On Jun 14, 2012
It is not enough to begin to lobby any media house to help in sensitising any govt agency. The fact remains that you as an individual should do something about yourself. If you know that the only way to eradicate this disparity is to obtain a degree, I repeat againt, please do in your own interest. Its better and for the future. There is no short cut to it. HND programmes should not be abolished. It is just that our educational planners fail to get the priorities well. This accounts for the discrimination.
Bye.
Career / Re: HND Holders: How Late Is Too Late For A BSc? by Gbigbon: 1:28pm On Jun 14, 2012
This issue of discrimination between HND and BSc holders has been overflogged in this forum. I remember somebody brought up the topic and my advise for the person to go ahead and acquire a BSc degreee not minding the age. I had my first degree at the age of 40 after HND. This was called for when I became a victim of same discrimation and I have never regretted taking that decision. Infact, I have been given more recognition in my office.
Please go ahead and acquire one. Nobody cares if you have ACCA, MBA etc with the first degree.
Thank you.

As far as I am concerned, the man is being diplomatic in answering his questions and at the same time being economical with the truth. He is not a straight forward man. You will know that all his responses to the questions put to him had parochial intonations.
Thank you.
Politics / Re: Ikemba Ojukwu Vs M.K.O Abiola: Who Is More Popular In Nigeria? by Gbigbon: 9:12am On Mar 05, 2012
There is no basis for comparison.  Both are heroes in their own respects.  One was a soldier who led his people in war against the rest of the country to protest the gruesome killings of his trible. The other was a business man and politician who fought to actualise his political victory after election.  So what is the basis for comparison.  We should as much as possible to discuss topics that will promote our unity and not issues that will continue to tear us apart.
Thank you.
Politics / Re: Court Frees Gbenga Daniel, Says Efcc Did Not Follow Due Process. by Gbigbon: 4:11pm On Mar 02, 2012
Only in Nigeria and other African countries with foolish leaders can this happen. Ibori would have been freed if he was tried in Nigeria.
Sports / Re: Ur Local Players Suprised Us - Rwanda Coach by Gbigbon: 4:04pm On Mar 02, 2012
This serves as a warning and an eye opener of what to expect in the return leg. Keshi please read and plan your strategy now. I will advise that you rely on your home base team since he does not know much about them. Look for good players from at least the clubs that had represented the country (Nigeria) in continental engagements because of their exposure.
Thanks.

Ibori is not to be blamed at all. Put the blame on the Nigerian Judiciary that could not find any corrupt tendencies in his case.

The guy is not funny. He knows what he is doing. I will advise you to go for the first degree in the University because of the discrmination against HND holders. Besides, you will have the opportunity to go further academically for your MSc and Phd if you so wish.
