Education / Re: Zoology Vs Food Science: Which Has More Prospects? by gbokun(m): 2:35pm On Nov 27, 2017 |
Funny how people comment on what they have little knowledge about. Zoology as a course has over 30 areas that you can specialize in such as virology, aquaculture, genetics, toxicology, parasitology, anatomy, physiology, environmental biology etc. I am a zoology graduate from University of Ibadan, I am gainfully employed in a bank to the glory of God without knowing anyone. I did the same tests and interviews with Economics, banking and finance, accountancy etc graduates. A friend of mine did zoology at B.Sc and Food tech at MSc, now he has his own eatery operating in Lagos and Ibadan. I have friends currently outside of the country who won various scholarships and even one in chevron. So what are we talking about. The truth of the matter is that no matter what you study, endeavour to make a very good result. As it is not the course studied that get you interviews but your grades and what you are made of. Also try and study a course that you have passion for and always pray to God for favours. 3 Likes 1 Share |

I am about to floor my project and I read that epoxy flooring is the new fade especially with the beautiful 3D designs. Can someone please do a cost analysis between the plain design and tiles? How durable is the epoxy floor? Can it be used for bathroom walls? Any advice will be appreciated. Thank you |
Phones / Re: Fraudsters Swap Lady's Airtel Sim And Steal Her N400,000 by gbokun(m): 5:41pm On Feb 06, 2016 |
Something like this actually happened to me in July 2014, my Airtel sim just stopped working on a Tuesday. I thought it was network issues, by Thursday over #500k left my bank account. I raised alarm and d Bank was able to lien recipient accounts because the transfers was done within same Bank. In all I lost just the 60k that had been withdrawn through ATM. My bank informed me to visit my service provider b/c someone must had swapped my line for such fraud to have happened. On getting to Airtel shop at Iwo road Ibadan, I was told I needed a letter from the commissioner of police before they can release details of who swapped my line which I found ridiculous. I had to let the case go after getting #480k out of d money back and I had to report at work in osun. Since then i stopped using the useless network. I wonder what happened to data captured during sim registration and id card they collect |

Thank you so much for this advise maryjames9.... I just got diamond bank job and I plan on staying for just 5 years and I want to maximize my time. I will surely heed this.thanks once again maryjames9: Good one. Many only learn the hard way cos the salary as a banker makes one so relaxed like tomorrow will never come. Banking is a good profession cos you learn many things there. My advice to bankers is this. Try to learn all you could not only in your department but others, save a significant sum every month 4rm ur salary and keep saving for the next economic meltdown. Unfortunately, many always say "i reject it in Jesus Name" or exercise faith when they get bank job. I have seen people testify in church that they were not fired among many colleagues only for their sack letter 2 get to them following week. Take a loan, i mean a significant amount 4rm bank and buy plots of land somewhere. Real estate is good 4 you people cos it requires little attention cos when the "chips are down" you have something. Dont take loan 2 buy cars,do big wedding parties, get luxurious duplex in lekki, travel to london for 1 month leave. Be shrewd in investing cos nothing is forever. Above all, plan your exit as you get your appointment letter. |

Computers / Re: Your Review About This Laptop 'ASUS Eee X101' Kindly Check Please... by gbokun(m): 1:40am On Oct 13, 2013 |
ASUS is one of the leading laptops producers in the world. It is very rugged and durable. China? No... it is a taiwanese product. Remember asia is now the manufacturing base of most of the best computers even Apple Unlike giant producers HP, ASUS use intel processors which Nigerians have a preference for. Their eepc line has been so successful because of their great design and battery life. I currently have an eepc 1011px with up to 10hours battery life, I specifically bought it for my pg school work and I have never had any problem with it. It has been a great companion for reading pdf books and writing those deadline papers. A very good answer to PHCN check out these links http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_laptop_brands_and_manufacturers http://www.laptopmag.com/mobile-life/best-brands-2012.aspx http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Asus_Eee_PC |

Civilization has caused a rot in the tradititional family set up Young girls of now aday can hardly make decent meal. Health / Re: How Can One Determine The Sex Of Their Unborn Baby? by gbokun(m): 1:48pm On Nov 07, 2012 |
Chromosommes don't swim...it is sperms that swim, chromosomes separate during a process called meiosis to for Sperms in male and egg/ova in female. the Y chromosome is smaller, and so sperms that it forms are lighter and swim faster than those formed by X obi123: |
Health / Re: How Can One Determine The Sex Of Their Unborn Baby? by gbokun(m): 1:43pm On Nov 07, 2012 |
Every human has 23 pairs of chromosommes, 22 pairs are XX while it is the last pair which is XY for male and XX for female. During reproduction (sperm and egg formation; it is the last pair of chromosome that animals use for reproduction, thats why they are called sex chromosomes) meiosis occurs, so there will be separation of the daughter chromatids, so for a male you have some sperms with Xs and some with Ys. The female releases just one egg in a month except in some cases, when you have multiple births.e.g leads to non identical twins. Eggs don't move during fertilization, they are immobile. The Y chromosomes are smaller and so they move faster than Xs,so If a woman can study her body and know when she ovulates, mostly day 13-14 of a 28-day menstrual cycle, she is advised to have sex then, since only one sperm fertilizes the ova, and logic says that the fastest should get to the ova first, since Ys are smaller and faster than Xs sperms, so it is expected that all things been equal one of the Ys should do the job, and so you have your Y from father + X from mum= XY a male child. Please note that this method is not 100% assurance that you will have a male child. You can pick up any material that discuss animal reproduction for more details. thanks chrisj2000: |
Islam for Muslims / Re: To Muslims who react violently to Video against Prophet Muhammed (SAW) by gbokun(m): 6:48am On Sep 17, 2012 |
DailyNews: If a blasphemous film is made against Jesus Christ, Christians will never, I repeat, never react violently or wage war against the makers or people connected with the film making, u know why? Because Christians believe that no human can or should fight for God. And if such should occur, the highest thing Christians can do is to call on all Christians all over the world to pray & fast for God to touch the hearts of the perpetrators or to reward them according to their evil deed, but its so unfortunate that Muslims always prefer to fight for their god instead of allowing their god to fight for itself & to also fight for them; which indirectly tells that they do not have faith in their god being able to defend itself. @DailyNews. It is people like you that are causing the problem in this world. Why on earth will you refer to some people's God as "god? An idol? Why can't you let these people be? You know to what esteem they hold their God and prophet and why can't they let them be. The middle east+Islamist issue is not just about God. It's actually a rebellation against America. The reason why many muslims reacted or tend to over react to this film was because it was made in America, some may have let the issue be if not that America was involved. Have you seen the movie? the movie is bad, I watched the trailer on youtube. you just don't play with other people's beliefs. Can you please honestly answer these questions: is there no film censorship board in America? why will such a volatile issue made into film? why will someone decide to make a film from what he/she knows some people will fight on? why is the film trailer on YOUTUBE? Why will YOUTUBE take the film down in some certain countries and not the rest of the world, are there no muslims in these other countries? There is a power play somewhere, you can't rule out Obama's political opponents away from these, they may actually have sponsored this just to get a votes. |
