Ngwakwe: I don't know which budget presentation you and your cohorts attended The links below is evidence of what was presented in November with a video included from Channels TV http://www.channelstv.com/2014/11/18/ogun-state-proposes-210-35billion-naira-2015-budget/ |

Ngwakwe: He told them N10bn at the budget presentation which happened well over two weeks ago That's what Daily Independent reported in my OP and all lawmakers present took note of that I'm not from Ogun but I have investments there and very senior people in government Just even listen to yourself. A state that generated N4bn last year plans to generate N1.5bn or thereabout next year and you don't think there's a problem |

The links below show the story of Ogun State's IGR As at last year, it was N4bn monthly These are from several media sources and besides I have friends in the cabinet who have attested to this so it's Ledaerhsip newspaper versus all the other media agencies http://www.vanguardngr.com/2013/08/ogun-how-we-raised-igr-from-n700m-to-n4bn-within-two-years-akinlade/ http://tvcontinental.tv/article/ogun-igr-now-5-billion-naira-monthly http://tribune.com.ng/news/news-headlines/item/6497-ogun-targets-n7bn-igr-monthly/6497-ogun-targets-n7bn-igr-monthly http://www.hallmarknews.com/ogun-internally-generated-revenue-hits-n5bn/ http://businessdayonline.com/2013/08/ogun-posts-61-26-percent-q1-budget-performance-as-monthly-igr-stays-at-n4bn/ http://theeagleonline.com.ng/oguns-igr-grows-from-n750m-to-n3b-in-two-years/ Ngwakwe: @Ngwa I need one more source that corrobates this your lie apart from Leaderhsip. I've provided seven links that are pretty much saying the same thing. N4bn monthly last year, N5bn earlier this year and N6bn now N10bn monthly is very achievable |

MudRaker: I think Osun does N1.5bn monthly I was at a function in Lagos when I heard him say that and when I checked the state government's website, it was there No one can lie about IGR because it's not only verifiable but you'd be shooting yourself on the foot of you overstated it |

Contrary to one report that Ogun State generates N1.5bn monthly which made FP, N1.5bn is actually what the state generates in one week Mods do the needful Ogun State Governor, Ibikunle Amosun, said his administration has set a target of N10 billion as its monthly Internally Generated Revenue (IGR), up from the current N6 billion. Amosun spoke on Tuesday during a Town Hall Meeting on the 2015 budget held at Kuto, Abeokuta. He explained that it was the only way the state government could survive the dwindling allocation from the Federation Account. Amosun, while fielding questions from stakeholders at the event, said the new target would take effect from 2015 and would not in any way inconvenience the people. He disclosed that funds from the Federation Account had been dwindling since 2011 and explained that it worsened to the extent that many states found it difficult to pay their workers. The wage bill of the state, he added, including allowances, had risen to about N8 billion monthly adding that “only Ogun and Lagos states now generate revenue exceeding the allocation from the Federation Account”. “What the administration is doing is to make Ogun State the economic hub of the nation ahead of Lagos State,” he said. He expressed happiness that the state had begun to take its pride of place in the comity of nations with the recent classification as the industrial capital of Nigeria. “What we are doing today is to take stock and see how far we have gone and those things we need to do better by further listening to our people. “Ogun will get to a time when it will be auto-driven, system driven so that governors will not have difficulty in making things happen, they will not have difficulty in paying salaries and doing all of those and I am happy we are taking our prime position in the comity of nations. “We are now the industrial capital of Nigeria but what we intend doing is to make Ogun State the economic capital of Nigeria, we want to challenge Lagos. “The Finance Minister had confirmed that there are challenges in revenue accruing from oil due to oil theft and, as we are speaking, they are yet to pay us, the only way we can pay salaries is to think outside the box and see how we can improve our IGR. “We are increasing the IGR without unnecessarily inconveniencing our people, the target is N10 billion by next year because there is no way our wages will exceed N10 billion. With this, we will not rely on the Federal Government again, but we still have a big challenge to pay our salaries,” Amosun added. Speaking earlier, the state Commissioner for Budget and Planning, Mrs. Oluwande Muoyo, said the Amosun administration “believes strongly in participatory democracy and has always carried the people along in the process of preparing the state’s annual budget”. While highlighting the various achievements of the administration, she noted that according to the 2014 World Bank Report on Doing Business in Nigeria, Ogun State was listed as one of the five most improved states in the country. “The same World Bank in its 2008 and 2010 Reports had ranked the state as one of the lowest performers among the 36 states in Nigeria. No doubt, this is a significant progress,” she added. http://dailyindependentnig.com/2014/10/ogun-targets-n10b-monthly-igr/ 1 Like 1 Share |

ducii: I don't have the figures for the states but I know that most of these investments have been in Lagos, Ogun and Oyo The SW as a whole have had about 95% of all FDIs in the recent years Ogun as a matter of fact is now Nigeria's most industrialized state while Lagos is second I'm from Lagos and I love my state but I have to give it to Ogun from what I've seen 1 Like |

And its interesting that 95% of FDIs into the country are retained in the SW geo political zone according to NBS stats 1 Like |

kettykin: I've always tried to restrain myself from commenting on NL and just read through comments and refrain from commenting when someone types my mind but now I have to do this. How is banking in Nigeria controlled by Delta Igbos? You're just a fat lair and I've been following your irritating tribalistic and nauseating comments FYI, Yorubas own and control most of banks in Nigeria from FBN to GTBank, Heritage, FCMB, Wema and Skye. Union and UBA are struggling in my opinion and Access still has a lot of Yorubas and Edos as owners You can only lay claims to Zenith, Diamond and Fidelity Now regarding the lies you posted as breakdown, you can click on the link below to see that Yoruba dominated businesses as well as foreign owned ones are the main sources of Lagos' IGR. http://dailyindependentnig.com/2014/09/lagos-raked-n384b-revenue-2013/ Note that the SW got over 95% of FDIs into Nigeria last year because we've made the environment ideal for businesses to thrive. And Ogun State currently generates over N6bn monthly from an average of N2.7bn monthly in 2013. It will take your erosion ravaged state 15yrs to catch up. Besides the state plans to generate an IGR of N10bn per month in 2015 which from all indications is possible http://dailyindependentnig.com/2014/10/ogun-targets-n10b-monthly-igr/ And note that when Amosun became governor, the state was barely generating N730m monthly and he's still in his first term. This was how Lagos started in 1999 and now everyone is rushing over to enjoy the benefits 30 Likes 1 Share |

These Igbos and their super story lives sha Molesters and ritualists This poor girl's death is so paining me like I knew her Her innocence and trust were taken advantage of The mother's story sounds like a c.ock and bull one How come the murdered girl trusted a well known child molester in the neighborhood well enough to go into an uncompleted building with him unaccompanied? She also said he once disappeared for two weeks and she didn't deem it fit to report the case of a missing person to the police However, in the instance of the crime committed, he was away for two days and they reported it to the police 2 Likes |

Why can't they save the money for the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway which they now want to concession again? Or isn't the Second Niger Bridge of any importance? The LASG already has a design and framework for building this bridge The impact assessment has been done and they are set to roll If the FG is interested in the project, they should look for ways to partner with the LASG And I strongly believe this is more of Politics than Engineering The same Lagos-Ibadan whose contract was awarded with so much fanfare is now stalled and they say they are shopping for a N117bn investment from the private sector This is the same path the bridge will tow should they start |

For people like this, you just sometimes wanna reconsider jungle justice Just like it happened to the Igbo that shot a defenseless girl in Ekiti for no reason I wonder why they can't stand up to men their size Instead they prey on innocent teenage girls Same way they breed babies and kill them for rituals Now the Igbos are avoiding the thread If only this demon had been deported, would the poor girl have died? 2 Likes |

Across Southern Nigeria, it's only in Yorubaland that these Fulanis have been dealt with mercilessly The Ogun State Government had tried to come up with a peaceful means of resolving conflicts between the farmers and the herdsmen However, it seems these herdsmen will not learn They had better be guided by what happened to their kinsmen in Oyo and Kwara By now they should know that only flatheaded farmers are the ones that flee and have never in their history stood up to any attack by the Fulanis. Never in their history I think in their interest, they should desist from further attacks or the people may resort to defending themselves 5 Likes |

Did he say he should be pardoned because it's his first time? This guy's balls should first be ripped off and thrown to dogs Just another Igbo doing what they are designed for Now the poor girl is gone and he still has breath This demon doesn't deserve a day longer Pray the rest of his kind return back to their cursed homes when they think of heinous crimes like this and leave our promising little ones alone to live out their full potential 3 Likes |

Once again its magical in their eyes They wonder how one government can complete 900 roads in one year and still be able to build residential estates, industrial parks, farming estates, schools and now markets What we have built as markets is what some Igbos commission as residential estates and hospitals Eko o ni baje Enemies haven't seen anything yet It's 1,000 roads this year and more than you've ever seen 3 Likes |

It's obvious that even despoil and murder cases topped the list of crimes in Ekiti, almost all the states across the Niger each had despoil and murder cases higher than that of Ekiti So the fact that kidnapping topped crimes in your state doesn't mean despoil and murder there are higher than Ekiti's 1 Like |
