Ngasky:
Good and simple analysis.
Remember the PTF Program the economic prophets of doom both local and international wrote it off as a failed embarked policy at inception. But Nigerians knows better after the program was rounded up. Even the international doom sayers had to admit to the success of the program even without any foreign lending. And who is in charge?
With the op analysis it is possible to achieve the goals.
Even the outgoing govt has the resources to do this but the biggest undoing factor of JEG's failure is STEALING (sorry thats not corruption and cant sack becouse of stealing according to ...)
I believe with all achieved 65-75% of Nigerias income/budget was stolen, thats only 25-35% was utilised. Imaging utilising 90-95% what will be the situation on ground?
If GMB Can fight stealing/corruption Nigeria will be the best destination in Africa in 2 years time.
I don't think buhari can reed nigeria from corruption even in 8years,as corruption is deeper at d grassroot but visible at d top,so when nigerians are ready to tackle corruption from their end,then it can be curbed,with d way citizens struggle for election money calling it national cake,its still clear that corruption is nigeria and Nigeria itself is corruption.until we help ourself even Jesus as the president of nigeria can not help us.

The news from Nigeria today is wonderful. Africa’s largest country has concluded a peaceful election process. Furthermore, the incumbent has already gracefully conceded and congratulated his successor – a first for Nigeria and a benchmark for other African countries to follow.

Today, we Africans are all proud of Nigeria and President Jonathan.

Thank you Mr President. If you are seeking a legacy, you have definitely achieved it.

Some of you APC clowns are really DUMB and disgusting, I swear. You chaps would align with the Devil himself if he offers, even momentarily, opposition to GEJ.

Was it not the same Deby of Chad that was the main instigator of the botched Amnesty move for BH late last year?? Was he not the one who hosted the sandals?? Was it not the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Chad that was releasing statements then assuring every person in the world (mouth-in-check) about the "sincerity" of BH negotiators when some people started to doubt the whole thing?? Now, the same person is singing a different song, in stead of you to use your head and find out the ulterior motives of all the shenanigans, you are playing politics against your own country and foooling yourself in a public forum.

God would NEVER let APC succeed in this country. I think he loves this country too much for that to happen
Gud to know we have sane people here ,on a second thought I wish gmb wins and the traitor in him is unleashed,a man that can't even debate on what he wants to do 4 his country,a man with d likes of hungry sponsors like tinubu .a snake's skin is changed but its venom still remains the same.I have a feel that if gmb wins God wants to punish nigeria with his wrath.a party that have its major players as muslims,a man known to be a sharia supporter.I pity the future of dis country in d hands odis man,cos if jonathan wins he wud make life hell for the man n if he wins then cluelessness wud onleash itself .by then maybe it is impeachment we wud then clamour for,but dats iff there wud be freedom of speech anymore,as in lagos everything is bounded by laws let's see how nigeria go be,cos am so sure it wud be condusive for only the rich elites,then d dumb n foolish supporters wud now cry had I known.I so hate APC party of thugs.

The DBN launch was just a cover up for the main event, which is "The president, however, seized the opportunity to launch his campaign handbook titled; ‘Jonathan’s Next Four Years,’ encapsulating his visions for the country should he be re-elected.".
Nigerians are wiser and ready to Vote for CHANGE, irrespective of the desperate acts of a clueless president.

[b]- The GEJ Administration has:
1) Not added a dime to the external reserves despite earning far higher revenues than any Nigerian president in history;
2) Depleted external reserves to about $29bn;
3) Escalated external debt;
4) Slowed down growth in the economy, now expected to grow below 6% for 2015;
5) Pushed unemployment now over 23%;
6) Caused poverty incidence to hover above 71%;
7) Overseen domestic debt ballooning to N7.65trn from N4.55tn in 2010;
8.) Depleted the excess crude account to less than $1bn
9) The worst exchange rate in the history of this country;
10) Presided over 500% jump in payment of petrol subsidies to over N1.4trn ($8.9bn) in 2011 and 2012 respectively from just under N261bn ($1.6bn) in 2006.
We had been promised steady Power with a plan as GEJ campaigned in 2011. In 2015, he says we should try to understand why power has not gone above 4500MW in four years. The "private sector" that won bids are not even able to provide needed funds to turn the critical sector around which then begs the question, how were they picked in the first place? Considering the depth of financing needed to make the sector work, I am surprised the government did not invite foreign investors to take ownership in a few of the Discos/Transcos/Gencos and allow competition and efficiency (ala MTN & MTel) to kill off, buy or merge with the inefficient investors. I doubt we will get a better deal in Power if GEJ is given another 4 years as the first set of investors have now invested in his next 4 years and will certain dictate the tune.

Vote for a better Nigeria, Vote APC.

THE All Progressives Congress, APC, has promised that it would build toll –free 2nd Niger Bridge if elected into office on Saturday, vowing to revoke the ongoing contract awarded by the present administration under Public, Private, Partnership, PPP, with provision for toll collection.

The APC presidential candidate, General Muhammadu Buhari, who spoke through Chief Audu Ogbeh, one of the leaders of the party and former national chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, during the town hall meeting organized in Onitsha, Anambra State, said it was not fair for the PDP government to be contemplating building a bridge in which users would be paying toll fees,
when the country has the resources to build the bridge for the people.

According to Ogbeh, money for the building of the bridge would be saved from plugging the avenues of financial corruption that had tended to impoverish the country and her people by those in authority.

He said that the present government has been spending nearly 90% of the country’s income on recurrent expenditure where the high corruption is embedded, adding that an APC government would ensure that the resources of the country were properly accounted for and used for the benefit of Nigerians.

Ogbeh also regretted that the economy of the South East geo-political zone has been on the downward trend because of the unfavourable government policies, assuring that APC would reverse the situation when it takes over power in May this year.

He said: “The South East is the place Nigeria’s industrial revolution will take place. We recall that many industries took off in this part of the country, but unfavourable structural adjustments led to the collapse of most of the industries. The APC sees South East as a strategic zone for the survival of Nigeria industrially, but with the present situation, it is very difficult for the industries to survive.”

He also said that APC believes that power must rotate among the geo-political zones, assuring that the best bet for the Igbo to occupy the office of the president of Nigeria is for them to support Buhari in 2015. He also said that the whole of the South East cities would be linked by rail, just as the party would properly dredge the River Niger to make it possible for the business community to clear their goods in Onitsha.

Chairman of the town hall meeting, Dr. Dozie Ikedife, who was a former president of Ohaneze Ndigbo said there is need for the Igbo to support Buhari because of their desire to return to the center of action in Nigeria.
He said: “We need a toll –free 2nd Niger Bridge because no bridge in Nigeria is on toll. We hope that if Buhari comes to office on May 29, 2015, the bridge will be completed by 2018.

“Also, 32 years after the commissioning of Onitsha River Port, no ship has berthed there, just as the Aba Dry Port also commissioned several years ago has remained abandoned.”

He pleaded with Nigerian leaders not to push Igbo out of the country as their actions tend to portray, and made a personal request on APC that he would like to see an Igbo president before he dies.

The Onitsha town hall meeting, however, failed to live up to its billing due to the absence of the APC presidential candidate.

Though the event was billed to start by 1pm, the entourage that eventually addressed the gathering arrived at 5.46 pm.

Former governor of Anambra State and senatorial candidate for Anambra Central, Senator Chris Ngige, while explaining Buhari’s absence, said the APC candidate had to attend an urgent meeting with ECOWAS commission in Abuja, adding that he therefore had to travel to Abuja after APC rally in Owerri.
He explained that Buhari might still make it to Onitsha before Saturday’s election, regretting his inability to speak with the people directly.
