Politics / Governor Alia Moves Against Pro-akume Assembly Members. by GENIUSMKT(m): 9:53am On Jul 02
In a recent political maneuver, Governor Hyacinth Alia has intensified his campaign against members of the Benue State House of Assembly believed to be loyal to the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator Dr. George Akume. The latest target in this political drama is Hon. Samuel Agada Awuchi, the representative of the Ogbadibo State Constituency.

Tensions flared when the Governor's administration unsuccessfully attempted to cancel a fundraising event in honor of the SGF at NKST Mbawa in Daudu, Governor Alia had promised to help complete the church during campaigns a promise he's become adamant to and has thus become excessively embarrassed learning that the church leadership has called for a fundraising event in honour of the SGF for the completion of the church.

Later that evening, Hon. Samuel Agada Awuchi was detained under controversial circumstances. Responding to a call from his younger siblings, who had been arrested on the spot in the process of purchasing steak meat, Hon. Agada Awuchi found himself similarly detained, with no regard for his legislative status, as an elected lawmaker and representative of the people.

Since his arrest, Hon. Agada Awuchi has been denied phone calls and any form of communication, rendering his whereabouts unknown to concerned parties. Efforts to secure his release since his whereabout became known on account of self recognition have been fruitless, with no official explanation provided for his detention.

The friction between Hon. Agada Awuchi and Governor Alia reached a boiling point when Awuchi vocally opposed and mobilized his pro-SGF colleagues in the House of Assembly to vote against the assembly's application to join as an interested party in the Supreme Court suit involving the Federal Government and State Governors on issues of local government autonomy. This defiance further incensed Governor Alia, who is tittle tattled to have ab initio instructed they vote in affirmation leading to heightened tensions.

Adding to the controversy, several of Governor Alia's close associates were seen holding meetings at the Police headquarters, seemingly to obstruct Hon. Agada Awuchi’s release. Notably, Hon. Benjamin Omakolo, a prominent ally of Governor Alia, was observed taking humiliating photographs of Hon. Agada Awuchi in police custody and disseminating them on social media. This act has sparked outrage and raised questions about the professionalism and impartiality of the Nigerian Police Force.

Governor Alia’s relentless pursuit to denigrate the SGF and his allies has taken a disturbing turn, leaving citizens aghast at the pettiness and vindictiveness displayed by the administration. The blatant misuse of power to harass and embarrass elected representatives reflects a deeper, more troubling disdain for democratic principles and the rule of law. As this toxic political vendetta unfolds, it is clear that Governor Alia's actions are not just a personal grudge but an assault on the very fabric of governance in Benue State. The public is left to wonder how far this administration will go in its reckless quest for dominance.

Politics / Hon. Benjamin Omakolo's Loyalists In Agatu LGA Are Fighting Over The Agatu Local by GENIUSMKT(m): 2:45pm On Apr 14
The camp of the Rev. Fr Alia's factional Chairman, Hon. Benjamin Omakolo in Agatu LGA is in serious crisis due to the ambition of his core loyalists to become the Agatu Local Government Council Chairman in the scheduled July BSIEC election.

Information reaching our reporters has it that the only persons supporting Omakolo faction in Agatu LGA are Hon. GODDAY Samuel, Mr. Melvin Ejeh and Hon. IDRIS OJIMBILI. It was gathered that the Hon. GODDAY Samuel has assumed the absolute leadership of the FACTIONAL camp of the Omakolo and only him determines the activities of the FACTIONAL camp. It should be noted that the Hon. GODDAY Samuel was the only incumbent APC House of Rep Candidate for APA/Agatu Constituency that was shamefully defeated at the polls in the 2023 general elections. His recent actions have shown that He is yet to recover from his electoral defeat and frustration.

Trouble started in the Omakolo factional camp recently when two of his staunch loyalists, Mr. Melvin Ejeh and Hon. IDRIS OJIMBILI indicated interest to contest the Agatu LG Council Chairmanship in the July BSIEC election. Findings revealed that the leader of the Omakolo's factional camp in Agatu LGA, Hon. GODDAY Samuel prefers the ambition of the Hon. IDRIS OJIMBILI over and above that of the Mr. Melvin Ejeh. This clash of interest has thrown up serious in-fighting amongst the dramatis personae.

Our reporter learnt that efforts and interventions by their mutual friend, one Hon. Joshua Sale ( From Agatu), to resolve the crisis proved abortive as none of the aspirants is willing to step down for the other and the crisis is tearing the fragile factional camp into pieces.

The failure of the Omakolo to resolve this simple micro crisis amongst his few loyalists in Agatu LGA should serve as a red flag to Rev. Fr Alia that Omakolo has no leadership capacity to entrust him with the mantle of APC leadership in BENUE except the Governor is prepared to witness an unending Political crisis in the state . Each passing days and events support our valid conclusion that Omakolo has become a political liability to Rev Fr Alia and time will certainly vindicate us.

A man cannot give what he does not have.

Pls stay tuned for more first-hand local politics in BENUE State.
Politics / Breaking News! Apa Political Elites Reject Benjamin Omakolo by GENIUSMKT(m): 4:42pm On Apr 07
There has been serious cold war between Benjamin Omakolo (the Rev. Fr Alia's factional Chairman) and the political elites in Apa LGA.

Findings showed that the Apa LGA Caretaker Committee Chairman, Hon Ochayi Alidu, the Commissioner for Power and Energy, Hon Barr Omale Omale and the Principal Special Assistant (PSA) to the Governor, Mr Yusuf Elaigwu and Hon. Adama Joseph Adama, Chief Ameh Udoh, Hon. Abu Umoru- the House of Assembly member representing Apa Constituency, Hon. Entonu (former House of Rep Member for APA/Agatu) and many other political elites from Apa LGA have refused to recognized the imposition of Omakolo as the Alia's factional Chairman of the APC.

Findings have also showed that till date, the above mentioned persons and others have shunned Omakolo and they did not even deemed it necessary to pay him any homage or courtesy visit as it is being done by some Alia loyalists from the Tiv extraction.

Investigation revealed that this development is connected to the scheming and plans by Benjamin Omakolo to contest for the House of Representative for APA/AGATU Federal Constituency in 2027 under the platform of the APC. Their fears are that if Omakolo is allowed to retained the Alia's factional Chairman of the party till the time of the party's primary election, he would have an undue advantage and he may win the APC House of Rep ticket for APA/Agatu Federal Constituency.
Politics is truly local.

Findings further show that the relevant political actors in Apa LGA are silently working with the only recognized Chairman of the party, Comr Austin Agada.

The total rejection of Benjamin Omakolo in his home reached a climax when the APC members and the Exco of his Igoro Council Ward passed a resolution and suspended him from the party on the offences bordering on his failure to pay party membership dues, gross misconduct, insubordination and embezzlement of party funds. His suspension had since been ratified by the Apa LGA Exco of the party as well as the State Working Committee of APC. In line with the APC constitution, Omakolo is not even a member of the party anymore. Rev. Fr Alia may be ignorant of this dirty fact about him.

With the rejection of the Benjamin Omakolo right from his home front of Apa, he has become a political liability for Rev. Fr Alia as charity begins at home.

At this juncture, it is advisable for Rev Fr Alia to reconcile with the APC recognized structure to avoid further miscalculation and political misadventure.
Politics / Gov. Rev. Fr. Alia Dares Ganduje-led NWC, Inaugurates Factional Benue State EXCO by GENIUSMKT(m): 8:23pm On Mar 28
***

In a bold move that signals defiance against the directives of the National Working Committee (NWC) led by Governor Ganduje, Governor Rev. Fr. Alia of Benue State has inaugurated a factional executive committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state.

The governor's action comes amidst an ultimatum issued by the NWC, demanding that all party members withdraw any ongoing court cases or suits within seven days. However, Gov. Rev. Fr. Alia appears to have disregarded this ultimatum, proceeding instead to install Hon Benjamin Omakolo as the acting State Chairman of the APC.

Hon Benjamin Omakolo, who was previously suspended from the party, has been appointed to lead the newly constituted parallel state executives of the APC. This move by Gov. Rev. Fr. Alia has further deepened the existing factionalism within the APC in Benue State.

The inauguration of the factional executive committee by Governor Rev. Fr. Alia represents a direct challenge to the authority of the NWC and Governor Ganduje. It underscores the political tensions and power struggles within the APC at both the state and national levels.

Observers anticipate that this development may escalate the ongoing internal crisis within the APC in Benue State and could potentially lead to further legal battles and disputes. The actions of Gov. Rev. Fr. Alia are likely to have broader implications for the party's cohesion and electoral prospects in the state.

As the situation continues to unfold, stakeholders within the APC and political analysts are closely monitoring the developments and assessing the potential ramifications for the party's future in Benue State.

Politics / Press Statement: We Condemn Omakolo's Actions And Lawlessness - Apa LGA APC by GENIUSMKT(m): 4:02pm On Mar 02
Date: February 29, 2024

Venue: Apa LGA, Benue State.

Issued by: Hon Samuel Obiabo, Apa LGA APC Chairman

Ladies and Gentlemen of the Press,

I address you today with a heavy heart but a resolute spirit regarding recent developments within our beloved All Progressives Congress (APC) in Benue State. As a staunch advocate for the rule of law and the principles of our great party, I cannot stand idly by in the face of flagrant disregard for both the party's directives and the judiciary.

It is with great concern that I bring to your attention the unlawful actions of Hon. Benjamin Omakolo, a figure who has unfortunately chosen to defy the sanctity of our party's constitution and the decisions of the National Working Committee (NWC).

Hon. Omakolo's suspension from the party, as ratified by the State Working Committee following due process, stands as a testament to his breach of party regulations and code of conduct. His blatant disregard for the NWC's decision and his continued usurpation of the role of the State Chairman in clear defiance of the court's ruling are nothing short of contemptuous.

As the APC Party Chairman of Apa LGA, the heart of our party's grassroots, I condemn in the strongest terms Hon. Omakolo's actions and lawlessness. His persistent efforts to sow discord and undermine the authority of our party leadership not only betray the trust of our members but also threaten the very fabric of our democratic principles.

I call upon all loyal members of the APC in Benue State to stand united against such divisive tactics and reaffirm our commitment to upholding the rule of law within our ranks. We cannot allow personal ambitions to overshadow the greater good of our party and the aspirations of our people.

In conclusion, let it be known that the APC in Benue State will not waver in its dedication to transparency, accountability, and respect for the judiciary. We will continue to uphold the tenets of democracy and ensure that justice prevails in all our endeavors.

Thank you.

Hon. Samuel Obiabo,
Apa LGA APC Chairman
Politics / Gov Alia Lured Igoro Ward Exco To Deny Suspending Benjamin Omakolo by GENIUSMKT(m): 9:01pm On Feb 04
The crisis rocking Benue APC has escalated beyond control in the past days. Benue has been home to political drama throughout last week.

Gov Alia in his desperate move to remove the State Chairman, Comrade Austin Agada turned the peaceful state into chaos.

The drama first started with a petition by Comrade Daniel Onjeh against Agada for anti-party of a general elections that happened 9 months ago. It didn't gain enough weight.

The second action in their scripts was to illegally use a former Ward Chairman (who is now a Supervisory Councillor) and eight non executives to announce the suspension of Comrade Austin Agada as the State Chairman. That move failed as the National Working Committee of APC foiled their plans by officially writing a press release to affirm Austin's position as the bonafide chairman of the party in Benue State.

Not satisfied with that outcome, Gov Alia went on physical assault by sending his CSO with armed men to vandalize the state secretariat that he refused to renovate. It was Comrade Agada that painstakingly remodeled the new and befitting state secretariat. Videos are online of the Governor's vandalization of the state secretariat and beating of secretariat staff.

Their next move was to use the state judiciary as a weapon by concoting and announcing a court injunction restraining Comrade Austin Agada to stop parading himself as the State Chairman of the party.

The State Governor connived with some Zone C Elders who are principally members of the G9 rebel political group that fought Alia's emergence as Governor. Strange fellows that are now his new political allies announced and recommended that Hon Omakolo be used by the Governor as acting State Chairman.

Coincidentally, the announcement collided with the suspension of Hon Omakolo's membership of the party from his Igoro Ward. The reason for the suspension was given as misappropriation of funds, gross insubordination, non-payment of party dues and anti-party activities during the general elections. The suspension was ratified by APC Apa LGA Working Committee and APC State Working Committee. So the suspended Omakolo cannot parade himself as acting State Chairman as masterminded by the Governor.

We heard on authority that, upon hearing of Omakolo's suspension, the Governor quickly called the Caretaker Chairman of Apa LGA to look for the Igoro Ward Chairman and entice him and other ward executives with huge funds to Government House. The plan is to persuade them to grant a press conference denying publicly that they didn't author the suspension of Omakolo. It took the Governor 3 days of luring, threatening and persuading them to accept the denial plan. From Friday 2nd to Sunday 4th of February 2024 before the Governor succeeded to hold the press conference.

The railing stones unleashed at the State Chairman, Comrade Austin Agada is not unconnected with his refusal to betray the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume. Gov Alia is hell bent on retiring the SGF from Benue Politics. He sidelined all the loyalists of the SGF from State Appointments. Now, he wants to hijack the party structure from the SGF who is not just the Leader of APC in Benue State but the Political Leader of the Tiv Nation in the Order of Senator J. S Tarka of late memory. If you don't align with Senator Akume, then you are ready to lose the huge votes of Tiv Nation and Benue at large.

We sit on the pavilion to watch how events unfold as Gov Alia acts out his evil scripts. But people are already asking if the Governor is a Mafia or a Priest.

Agriculture / Adama Joseph Adama's Interview With Dounia by GENIUSMKT(m): 11:36pm On Sep 24, 2023
1. Introduce yourself, your background, your story?

My name is Adama Joseph Adama. I'm from a royal family in a predominantly peasant farming Benue State, Nigeria. I'm the first child of a 6 siblings family. I'm a trained Human Resources Manager and I have two MBAs from University of Chichester UK and Swiss School of Business Research, Switzerland. I'm presently a PhD Candidate with the Swiss School of Business Research, Switzerland.
I'm passionate about using technology to solve food security issues in Nigeria and Africa. I started Farm4Me in 2019 with less than $100.

2.Introduce us to the Farm4me concept?

Farm4Me started out of a simple concept if connecting middle class, working class Nigerians with small holder farmers to fund and earn money from farming and at the same time helping the peasant farmers to overcome poverty using technology.

We built a web app and mobile app to onboard crowd funding working class and use the capital to engage small holder farmers in crop production.

The idea picked and the company grew. We signed up over 26, 000 registered users within 2years. So basically Farm4Me is an agritech company that crowd fund capital and make profits for the investors. And also lift small holder farmers out of poverty. We offer other services like farm equipment rentals, farm inputs supplies and agrocommodity sourcing and trading.

3. In concrete terms, how does it work?

Farm4Me works in three simple steps.

Step 1:
A new user signs up on our website or mobile app and become a registered member.

Step 2:
The user selects the crop(s) and the number of hectares to invest. Goes ahead to pay online and complete the investment process.

Step 3:
Farm4Me Agriculture Ltd aggregates the funds and use it to farm at scale leasing and paying these small holder farmers for their land and labour. We even give them darn inputs as loans and get repaid with farm produce at harvest in our outgrowers scheme. We store these produce for three to four months and sell at appreciable profits.

Step 4:
The money is invested and after 6 months, we credit the wallet of the investor with his capital and return on investment.

The User can choose to reinvest the money or take away her capital and profits. Most times, they reinvest their funds.

4.What is the objective and has it been achieved? What is the impact of your solution?

The Objectives of Farm4Me:
1. To reduce poverty and unemployment in Africa by engaging Youths and Women in large scale farming.
2.To democratize wealth mong working adults in Africa.
3.To uplift Africa from peasant farming to a sustainable modern farming.
4.To achieve food security as a major sustainable development goal.
5.To mechanize Agriculture in Nigeria and Africa.
6.To make Africa a food export destination to the whole world.
7.To create lasting wealth for our Investors and Partners.

What We have Achieved So Far? Our Impact Score.

1. We have empowered over 20, 000 small holder farmers so far with our outgrowers scheme.

2.We have delivered sustainable returns to our investors for 2 consecutive years.

3.We have created over 20, 000 jobs for rural women and Youths through our crop production and produce sourcing activities.

4.We create direct jobs for over 100 full time staff of our company.

5.We have engaged cumulatively over 5000 hectares of arable farmlands in Nigeria.

6.We have trained over 20, 000 small holder farmers in our Agricultural extension services in Nigeria.

7.We have brought government's attention to agriculture as a sector in terms of reform policies.

8.We are the leading agritech company in Nigeria that have deployed robust fintech solutions to agriculture.

9.We have on the aggregate over 74, 000 registered users across our platforms.

10.We did this without venture funding or private equity investments.

Our Challenges

Every innovation comes with its attendant challenges. Our digital wallet has been hacked several times and huge funds stolen by hackers. That affected our payment obligation to our investors and affected our liquidity. We are still paying debts till date. Some of these investors took to social media and news outlets to run smear campaigns against us. Some tagged me as a Scammer or Fraudster but I'm not and will never be. I'm resilient and resolute in pursuit of my vision.

Our commitment is to pay the remaining debts and steer the ship of our company until Nigeria and Africa attain food security.

Agriculture / FarmCrowdy Vs Farm4Me - How Are They Different? by GENIUSMKT(m): 1:00am On Sep 19, 2019
People have been asking what is the difference between Farmcrowdy and Farm4Me?

Let me attempt to list the difference as much as I can here:

1. FarmCrowdy is a crowd farming platform while Farm4Me is a contract farming platform. FarmCrowdy pools in funds together to farm and shares a part of the profit with the investors.
Farm4Me receives the total cost of farming (includes insurance cover and their 10% service charge) from the client, set up and manage the farm until harvest. At harvest the client has 2 options. Authorize Farm4Me to sell the produce at the prevailing market price and credit your bank account with the proceeds or they ship the farm produce to you anywhere in Nigeria.

2. FarmCrowdy makes at least 20% from each sponsored farm. Farm4Me charges 10% service fee payable in cash or 10% of the total farm produce harvested.

3. FarmCrowdy has raised good money from foreign Investors. Farm4Me is entrusted with millions of Naira of their clients to farm for them.

4. FarmCrowdy sponsors farms in selected States in Nigeria. Farm4Me has access to farmlands in 27 states in Nigeria and still counting.

5. FarmCrowdy has 16, 000 acres of farmland available. Farm4Me has over 254, 000 hectares of farmland available for farming.

6. FarmCrowdy can be oversubscribed. Farm4Me can never be oversubscribed. You can farm whatever size of farm you can afford.

7. Farmcrowdy has just 25,837 Farmers but Farm4Me is working with over 127, 000 small holder farmers through the farmers associations they work with.

8. Farmcrowdy's CEO is Onyeka Akumah while Farm4Me's CEO is Adama J. Adama.

Farm4Me is different from all the agriculture investment platform out there. We are not into crowd farming.

What we do is called contract farming. We work with people who are passionate about owning their own farm and having full control over the farming outcome.

People who love farming but don’t have the time to do it because of the nature of their work. Who are desirous of honest hands to help them manage the farm.

We make it easy for you to farm-it-yourself without getting dirty. We call it digital farming – your money, mind, technology and US (the Farm4Me team) work for you.

This is How It Works:
Step 1:

Sign Up at www.farm4me.com.ng

Step 2:

In the dashboard, fill the contract farming form.Choose your crop. Each crop has its ROI. Egusi has the highest ROI and Maize has the lowest ROI. Consult with the image below to see the breakdown.

Step 3:

Pay online using the online payment gateway or do bank transfer to our bank account.

Step 4:
We confirm payment and your investment starts reading immediately.

Step 5:

We give you real time update on your farm progress until harvest via WhatsApp, Email or Dashboard. The updates include stories, photos and videos.

Step 6:

On your pay day, receive credit alert from us.

Step 7:

Repeat business. Invest with us again and again. This business relationship is for a long time.

N.B:

If the farm doesn’t yield or there is a crash in market price , Farm4Me will pay you back your capital 100%.

Agriculture / Farm4me: How It All Started by GENIUSMKT(m): 4:23pm On Sep 03, 2019
In 2017, our Founder, Adama J. Adama anchored an IFAD Value Chain Seminar on agribusiness and eCommerce at the Central Bank of Nigeria Entrepreneurship Development Centre, North Central Zone, Makurdi.

Farm4Me was born out of the questions and answers session. It took two years of research. So we finally launched the contract farming platform in April, 2019.

We started from a small office space. Moved to a bigger shared office space. Now in a more spacious fully owned office space in Abuja.

Farm4Me ranks No.1 on Google for agritech company and farm equipment rental service in Nigeria.

We recorded some good success farming for few clients in 2019. We are now scaling the service across Nigeria.

From farming just few hectares to hundreds of hectares in less than 1 year.

Our farm equipment rental service is enjoying a consistent patronage. We have more demands than we can supply right now.

We are pioneers of contract farming in Nigeria. Our Clients entrust us with the total cost of production and we farm for them. After harvest, the Client could choose for the farm produce to be delivered to a specified location. Or authorize us to sell the farm produce and credit her bank account.

Farm mechanization is at the core of what we offer. Our farm equipment rental service powers large scale farms across Nigeria. Clients contact us for tractors and other farm equipment for short and long term lease.

Our mission is to reduce hunger and poverty and create jobs for vulnerable women and youths through agriculture.

We envision becoming the largest agribusiness company in Nigeria by the size and volume of services we render and the visible social impact.

Education / Ibkn Online To Widen Access To University Education In Africa by GENIUSMKT(m): 7:35pm On Jan 17, 2018
Launched on the 8th of January, 2018, IBKN Online is a brand new education startup that is set to widen access to university education in Africa.

According to the Founders, Oloche Owoicho and Adama Joseph Adama, "it is time to innovate higher education in Africa. It is time to build an education infrastructure for the next generation. The education system we met cannot adequately tackle the crisis we have at hand in Nigeria and Africa. So here lies our solution"

IBKN Online is an online distance learning provider. We partner with accredited universities in Benin Republic to offer their distance learning degree programmes online. We carefully chose reputable institutions as our partners to deliver world class university education.

We have recruited qualified academics and outliers as faculty. Young, passionate and experienced lecturers vetted by our partner universities to teach Bachelor and Masters degree programmes.

Asked if Africa will embrace online education at this time, the Founders said they are not in a hurry and are in for the long term. "We are building this as a legacy for our children's children. We are not after short term success. We are not waiting until everything is ready. Because when everything is ready, there won't be any opportunity for us anymore".

The tuition fees is intentionally made affordable so no African will have any excuses for not being a university graduate. For less than $500 tuition fees a year, the students can push themselves through their studies. Working adults will no longer empty their savings just to earn a degree.

IBKN Online is concerned about the quality of graduates they will produce. "Anything short of competent graduates makes us a failure". The degree programmes are of the highest quality assurance. They have a dedicated team in charge of monitoring of the curriculum and standards. Their university partners also monitors the content delivery.

IBKN Online partners with a US-based education technology company - Afridash to delivery the courses in one of the best learning management systems (LMS) in the market today. A state-of-the-art LMS that is being used by American high schools and universities. The LMS is custom made to suit the poor electricity and internet access in Africa.

Asked where IBKN Online will be in the next 10 years, Adama replied 'we will become a fully licensed university that will still retain our online distance learning degree programmes and some on campus programmes. Think RDI UK and Arden University. Something better than them.

Their passion about the future of university education in Africa is contagious. They are optimistic about what the future holds. "We know this journey may not be smooth but we are prepared to patch the potholes, seal the 'shitholes' (apology to Donald Trump) of Africa's higher education and create a new future for working adults in Africa".

Religion / Interview With Apostle Arome Osayi, The Founder Of Remnant Christian Network by GENIUSMKT(m): 3:07pm On Nov 17, 2017
Tell us about yourself. Your childhood. Your born again experience. Your family. Your career. Your ministry.

Apostle Arome: I was born as the fifth in a family of seven to the family of late Chief Paul Ameh Osayi, a Christian home and I remember giving my life to Christ at the age of seven in ECWA 1 Makurdi barracks road during a Sunday school class.

How did you transition from being born again to becoming a preacher of the gospel?

Apostle Arome: Even though my discipline is in the line of chemistry I was sure about my call at the age of 12/13 when I had series of encounters with God and I began to work towards it from that time.

My early Christian life was shaped by the writings of Watchman Nee and the ministry of Benny Hinn.

My transition to a preacher is referenced to an encounter I had where I was taken to heaven and I stood on a mountain and watched people going to hell and I was sent to do something about the situation of the people. This happened when I was 13 years old. And those moments began to shape my life. I couldn't find rest in any other thing outside ministry.

About your unique teaching ministry. You unlock the word of God with so much depth and accuracy. Is it just a gift from God or personal development?

Apostle Arome: Well I trace my teaching ability to the great impartation I received while serving under Reverend Pita Momoh Edwards of Sanctuary of Mercy. The impartation made me begin to desire and study the word of God faithfully and I also began to see very deep things in the scriptures this has continued for 23 years now

Your brand of the gospel seems different from the conventional preaching around. What has made you thrive with such unpopular messages?

Apostle Arome: I was called to preach the Gospel of the kingdom. That's the message for the end time church. Matthew 24:14. Every time I go before God that's the emphasis I hear in the spirit. I discovered that Christianity in Nigeria is weak because it is kingless. Once the king is introduced government and order will set in.
You have a nationwide acceptance and influence among the youth. Ministers of your pedigree prefer big cities. Why are you still headquartered in Makurdi of all places?
Apostle Arome: I am in Makurdi and will remain in Makurdi because God told me many years ago that a mighty revival will break out of the city and the region that will affect the world and that I am one of the ministers chosen to midwife the revival in the territory.

There is this general notion that people who are committed to your Apostolic Centre in Makurdi don't go to church on Sundays. What is your take on this?
Apostle Arome: Well I may not know why it is so. I suggest you interview such people but I am well aware of members of the ministry that are very strategic and resourceful members of their local Assemblies.

Remnant Christian Network is one of the fastest growing apostolic networks in Nigeria. You are literally in all the major cities in Nigeria. What gave birth to this unprecedented growth?
Apostle Arome: We have been running with a divine policy direction from Isaiah 37:31 "And the remnant that is escaped of the house of Judah shall again take root downward, and bear fruit upward". So going by this policy we took prayer and intercessory roots for 10 years and the resultant effect is the explosion you talked about.

Your invasion of Europe, what is responsible for that? Your sons and daughters moving there for studies and work?

Apostle Arome: The invasion of Europe began with a Skype bible study I did with a family for one year and a few months that is what translated to the branch in the UK. But for other parts of Europe I began with the messages we uploaded to our website for free downloads.

You're building a massive camp in Makurdi. With a 3, 000 capacity auditorium in the first phase. A hospital, TV Station and hostel facilities for people to come pray and seek the face of God. What is the inspiration behind this project? Tell us more about the project. When are you most likely completing the camp?
Apostle Arome: The camp project was as a result of a vision of glory I had many years ago of an apostolic center where many nations of the world will come and find the true God and see accurate apostolic patterns that can be replicated in their various nations.

Where do you see yourself and your ministry in the next 10 years?
Apostle Arome: In the next 10 years, I am trusting God for the restoration of the true Gospel in Nigeria and Africa through the influence of a strong network of ministers. I trust God for strong alliances of honorable men in Africa and Europe and the parts of the world enforcing the movement of the spirit of God all over the globe.

Festival of Glory Crusade is at the corner. November 24th - 26th, 2017 to be precise. Your first outdoor crusade in the city of Makurdi. What should we expect?
Apostle Arome: Festival of Glory is an attempt at rebuilding that altar of the Lord in the land that is fallen. It will be a bench mark for restoration in Benue State and nothing shall be impossible in those four days.

If you're to summarize your mission in one sentence, what will it be?
Apostle Arome: Striving towards the rebirth of apostolic Christianity

Politics / Benue South Peace Network Declare Agatu Agreement Null And Void by GENIUSMKT(m): 1:17am On Jan 28, 2017
Some days back, Agatu, Benue South, Benue State and the entire Nigeria was taken aback. When the news of an unfair agreement ceding some Agatu land to Fulani herdsmen as grazing reserves and grazing routed broke out. An agreement the Governor of Benue State later confessed that he was hypnotized by Governor Almakura of Nassarawa State. If you read the full content of the dubious agreement you will weep for Agatu people.

A network of concerned Benue South Citizens which is composed of statesmen, technocrats, clergy, youth and student union leaders recovered from the shock the news gave them. Mobilized themselves and was able to hold a press conference on the 27th of January 2017 to declare the evil agreement null and void. They are heading to the court suing all the signatories to the agreement (including Governor Ortom and Governor Almakura) as I type this.

Please read the full content of the press statement below;

Benue South Peace Network

BENUE SOUTH PEACE NETWORK

Press Statement on

Questionable Peace Agreements on Agatu

GREETINGS:

All Stakeholder groups here present, leaders of thought, and concerned people of Benue South here present, gentlemen of the Press, please accept our warm greetings.

AGATU GENOCIDE:

Agatu is no longer news to the world; it is that bloodied theatre of wanton killings amounting to a modern genocide that Idoma, Benue State, Nigeria and Africa dare not forget in a hurry. We are here today not because another invasion is on but because foundations for something worse than the past massacre is being laid and we believe that all men and women of goodwill across the world must be told on time so that you can join forces with patriotic souls to halt the impending return of violence.

Recall that two agreements were recently signed under the arrangement of the Benue State Government giving out the whole ADAPATI ISLAND and vast portions of Agatu mainland OGUTO ADANYI – OGUMAGBO – BAGANA, for purposes of grazing area and grazing routes.

These agreements with very frightening clauses have come as a shocking development to all Nigerians and right thinking Africans especially since the last incidence of massacre of Agatu people by these same terrorists nothing has been done by the Benue State Government and the Federal Government towards commensurate Rehabilitation, Reconstruction and Compensation. Justice is yet to be done as no single perpetrator has been brought to book. The condition of the dead, widows, orphans, wounded, displaced and deprived; as well as lands taken over by the terrorists, have not been addressed.

Attempting to broker peace in the light of the aforementioned pending issues is indicative of gross contempt for the value of Agatu lives and the sensibilities of entire Benue people. We state today categorically that Agatu lives matter as much as that of Fulanis and their cows, as well as lives of other Nigerians. The gift of life is a universal privilege by God and no group of people are higher shareholders. Any peace deal in Agatu must show clear reverence for the hundreds of innocent lives lost there.

OUR POSITION

No Youth or persons of Agatu, Benue South and indeed the entire Benue State of Nigeria should take the law into their hands by engaging in any acts of violence as a result of anger over the two recent agreements signed which instead of bringing solution is rather a more deadly time bomb. As bad as this is, there should be no recourse to violence, and as much as possible, no street protests over this ugly turn of events.
We urge all peoples of Agatu, Benue South, and entire Benue State, to roundly reject and distance themselves from the two agreements as the law abiding people of Benue South will soon use democratic means and the Nigerian Law Courts to declare the two agreements which plan to consolidate the injury, null and void and without effect whatsoever.
We urge all people of Agatu, Benue South and entire Benue State to focus their energy on making the State and Federal Governments to do the needful aimed at restoring normalcy in Agatu which includes
Bringing the perpetrators of the heinous murder and destruction to book,
Rehabilitation and reconstruction of destroyed properties, farms and businesses
iii. Resettlement of IDPs including orphans, widows, widowers, wounded persons, and people whose properties, houses, farms and businesses were destroyed.

Our position here is not strange. All over the world people know that there can be no peace without justice and that papering over the wounds of Agatu people to force down “peace agreements” the way it is being done will only lead to something worse. This we must resist.

“INDIGENOUS FULANI”
– We wish to call on all Agatu, Benue South and entire Benue State people to roundly reject the evil and dangerous concept of indigenous Fulani as there is not a single Fulani person that can prove indigeneship in any part of Benue State. All the Fulanis here have their origins and are known clearly as migrant herdsmen that come in, stay for a while and move away as their cattle business needs demand. Even those Fulanis that have been around from the 1940s come and go, and only see Benue State as a vast grazing land, not their home land! Granting them indigeneship by the means of agreements and pronouncements of Government Officials is a direct attempt to cause further animosity between Benue indigenes and the herdsmen.

OUR RATIONALE:

First and foremost, we must state that the two agreements clearly lack the capacity to bring peace as the basic conditions necessary for forgiveness and forging new mutual trust and partnership between the terrorized Agatu people and known and unknown migrant Fulani Herdsmen were not met.
Secondly, the two agreements go against both the spirit and letter of the Nigerian Constitution, our extant Land Use Laws, Benue State Governor Ortom’s crystal clear POLICY POSITION on RANCHING as opposed to grazing reserves and grazing areas; therefore such agreements are not only sinister, suspect, ungodly, but patently illegal and anti-people, and must be quashed in Court.
The multiple denials, counter claims and conflicting explanations around both agreements from government quarters and some signatories to the agreements give a clear indication that both agreements were obtained under duress, or through inducement, or both; and as such those agreements can only make the Agatu situation in particular and the general security situation across Benue State in general, more precarious and volatile as the citizens can no longer trust their leaders and actors in the State Governance.
30 MILLION NAIRA:
The amount of 30 Million Naira given to the entire ravaged Agatu community is a case of throwing guinea corn grains for starved chickens to fight over! It is, to say the least, a tactic of divide and rule, putting out bait that can precipitate internal wrangling as the people struggle to get a share, and of course, it is an insult on all the people that lost loved ones in the invasion as well as the leadership of the entire Idoma and Igede nations as well as Benue peoples as a whole.

It must be noted that since no prioritized list of worst affected people was attached to that money, it smacks of a wicked move to bribe the leaders of Agatu and pitch their people against them, thus making Agatu a national laughing stock.

DEMANDS FOR THE SAKE OF PEACE

We demand that Fulani herdsmen withdraw totally from every inch of Agatu land until a widely accepted and mutually beneficial arrangement is reached.
The long ignored call for rehabilitation, reconstruction and compensation be given the deserved attention and implemented by the State and Federal Governments.
The political concept of “indigenous Fulani” be dropped immediately from the vocabulary of Benue State Government officials.
That Governor Almakura of Nasarawa State should support the Fulani Herdsmen to utilize the already established grazing reserves in Nasarawa State and establish RANCHES on their vast lands,
The rising role of Nassarawa Governor Tanko Almakura in Benue State in general and in these agreements in particular, is both unclear and worrisome, and should therefore, for the sake of lasting peace, be placed under high level security surveillance to forestall his further connivance with Fulani herdsmen in the invasion of Agatu and other parts of Benue State.
That as Governor Ortom has said over one thousand times, all persons interested in farming Cattle in Benue State should establish RANCHES since there hasn’t been any single grazing area that did not produce bloodshed between indigenes and the migrant herdsmen.
CONCLUSION

Today it is Agatu, tomorrow it might be your own community. Any evil that migrates so seamlessly is not an evil that should be tolerated whether it is today at my doorstep or tomorrow at your neighbour’s doorsteps. It will reach you. That is why we call on all Nigerians to take the imposition of herdsmen on indigenous Benue communities with much more interest.

We must thank the Traditional Rulers of entire Benue South for being calm and mature over this matter. We thank them for refusing to be deceived and bribed. We particularly thank the Paramount Ruler of Idoma Nation, the Och’Idoma, HRH Agaba-Idu, Elais Ikoyi Obekpa for clearly distancing himself from these treacherous agreements.

We call on all Sons and Daughters of Agatu, Benue South and Benue State in general both in Nigeria and outside the country to use every democratic and godly means within their reach not only to resist and annul these agreements but to also stop the further alarming forceful spread of violent outlaw Fulani herdsmen to murder, intimidate and dispossess our people of their ancestral lands.

In this regard, we call on all Sons and Daughters of Benue State that are interested in bringing the two odious agreements to nullity to join constitutional forces with us as we pursue the case in court and in other fronts. An injury to Agatu is an injury to every Benue State citizen.

And lastly, it bears repeating that ours is not a call to arms, therefore we appeal again to all Youth of Agatu, Benue South and entire Benue State, to face this worrisome scenario without recourse to violence.

We must be mature and in full control of our emotions. We are being killed right on our land, so we know that the God of justice will fight for us. We will stick with the Law and with the Lord.

We will watch and we will pray. And we will not only win the battle over the slavery agreements signed over Agatu land, we shall also overcome this nightmare of incessant invasions by heavily armed and openly supported Fulani herdsmen terrorists.

We pray that our governments will talk in truth and walk in truth so that we can give them our unalloyed support.

Long live Agatu people!

Long live Benue South!

Long live Benue State!

Long live Nigeria!
