Satellite TV Technology / Re: All About Multi Tv Free To Air On Astra 2b by GeorgeD1(m): 2:57pm On Aug 16, 2012 |
curiousman66, what you're experiencing now with multi-tv is nothing new. as a free to air bouquet it means you don't pay any subscription for what they're giving you and hence they're totally at liberty to do whatever they like. within reasonable limits most fta stations behave this way. however even the so-called pay-tv channels where you are forced to pay through the nose for what you watch are little different as they do also interrupt viewing (on a few occasions) whereby they slot in useless adverts and inconvenience subscribers who have already paid to avoid these in the first place! 1 Like 1 Share |

@odilibe, Thanks for all your efforts so far. The £118.68 overall price is not bad at all considering the circumstances. We will work in house to make this happen. @Ikiriye, Please begin to compile the names of those interested in this project. @all, Please lets have more expression of intent from all concerned. I will forward the amount for all three LNBs to Ikiriye's account for purchase of the first set that will be used for testing. However they remain my property and will be returned after successful completion of trials. For those who want to have their own copies, please lets get in touch with Ikiriye via this medium to indicate which combination of LNBs you require (whether all 3 lnbs or 2 of them or just one of them). He will forward his account number for all to pay in. |

DSTV Increases Tariff in Nigeria Tue, 2012-08-07 13:46 -- cwadmin Author(s): funmi ilesanmi John Ugbe; Managing Director, MultiChoice Nigeria DStv , which enjoys a near monopoly in the Nigerian Pay TV market has said that subscribers would have pay more to access its content starting from September 1. But for those who renew their subscription before it expires, the old rates would apply. According to DStv operated by Multichoice Nigeria limited, subscribers that renew their subscriptions before it expires would get 10 percent discount and would pay a little less than their previous monthly subscription. DStv Family formerly N2, 800 is now N3000 and DStv Compact previously N4, 800 is now N5000 while Compact Plus now N7, 500 from N7, 000. DStv premium is now N11, 000, previously N10, 000. There is however no increase in the prices of DStv Access which remains at N1,500, while the dual view access fee for HDPVR both remains at N1,800. The company said that the increase has been necessitated by ongoing increases in the company's operational and ancillary costs which include; content acquisition and development, technical infrastructure, satellite lease, facilities and maintenance. Multichoice has increased prices annually since all its rivals fell. The situation was made worse after HiTV, the indigenous Pay-Tv operators, lost the lucrative English Premier League (EPL) broadcast rights in Nigeria to Multichoice for the 2010-2011. |

@odilibe, It's got to be the inverto quad red classic c120 for prime focus. Can we estimate the weight of all three LNBs including the spitfire and avenger? That will help us calculate the expected DHL cost to Nigeria. |
