The only place from my experience where you can find wife material over 10% now is some rural Parts of Africa and Asia but as for cities and developed regions e hard well well. To even see a girl over 21 who is NOT a single mother and is physically fit (not morbidly obese and overweight) and good or average looks and good or average in behavior and character and general outward appearance guy e hard well well in the past few weeks since I broke up every single girl I’ve met is a single mother one 24 year old is a single mother of 3 omo and I am also around the same age range how I wan take care of 3 kids that aren’t even mine at my young age? I take that to be a representation of your environment. None of my female classmates, both secondary school and university, is a single mother. All are married and live with their husbands and children. Your representation is not applicable nationwide.

PureFace1:
In the future marriage will become rare there will only be majority babymamas, most men will become less interested in marriage because the investment is too great and the reward does not worth all the effort at all.
The arrangement in the future will be men and women interested in having children coming together to achieve the same goal and after the goal has been achieved, they may go their separate way, the only business they have together after that is only taking care of the child and how to take care of the child nothing more nothing less. Sex will become very transactional because there will be no need to waste each other time, men will majorly patronize hook up because it is much cheaper than girlfriends and wives without the deceit and pretenses.
Currently, this has commenced in the West where marriage rates have nosedived while co-habiting has increased. So, the next stage is transactional dealings in we take care of the child while having other interests to focus on as individuals. Marriage rates have also dwindled in parts of East Asia. However, unlike the West, East Asians, especially the women, don't like co-habiting or having children outside the confines of marriage.

In summary, marriage will be redefined in the future, and it is about time it gets redefined.

In Nigeria, we still have more than enough wife material that can serve every single men in Nigeria. Our greatest problem is poverty and this is seriously affecting everyone and any lady that ask for basic things will be tagged a gold digger. A single lady asking her suitor that she prefers a man with an apartment with a running water will be considered a high taste lady simply because she said she cannot be waking up everyday to be fetching water up and down.
Which was inflicted by Buhari who you voted for in 2015 and exacerbated by Tinubu who you voted for in 2023.

But hey, you are correct. It was not like this during 2010 - 2014.

Total nonsense! You were asked how did Dino make his money, you began listing estates here and there. Did he steal those estates? So na Dino person go envy because he has some coins?

You see, this happens when most citizens have never made legitimate wealth and have rogue politicians to look up to. Dino just like most politicians or politically exposed people are not who a sane person should envy their wealth.

We truly deserve our leaders. See how some of you are defending them.

They earn around 21m monthly in addition to 200m annually for constituency project that they don’t carry out. That is 800m in 4 years. This does not include bribes from agencies they supervise whenever they visit or when they need to pad budget and also money from selling job slots. There is also money they make from government programs because they have a lot of first hand information at their disposal
It is the reason you should never believe the notion that Nigeria's leaders are the problem. The citizenry will do worse than them. See the way they defend Dino with no hard and reputable evidence.

There is TERF that opposes it. Many women object it . When did men start caring of women? We will not buy the "common enemy" thing, men suddenly caring about women welfare in sports.lol. they just hate LGBTQ. If normal men were to infiltrate women sports, men will say "shey you want equality? This is what equality means!"
So, do you now understand when I say women in the West are a lost cause?

It does not sit right with most men because they have sisters and daughters, and it is their instinct to protect them from other men who want to take undue advantage of them. In no way does it make sense that biological men should participate in women's sports. Even sane misogynists will oppose it.

Silverbird has run a lot of competitions in Nigeria. They originally wanted to create a Miss Universe Nigeria, but they changed the name to Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria before the pageant started. The first Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria took place in 1986 and Lynda Chuba Ikpeazu was the winner.

Last year Silverbird brought back the Miss Universe Nigeria as a separate pageant.
Good day Naptu2,

I got banned by the anti-spam bot in the Education section for a thread I started. Yes, it had lots of links, but they were necessary. The main mod in that section hasn't logged into Nairaland for almost a week. Two others haven't logged into Nairaland for almost six months. Is there a way the ban is lifted and the post reinstated? Moreover, Mukina2 has been not on Nairaland for five months.

Thanks!

Baba, I remember mid last year you were mocking people with high grades, arguing its not a pointer for career success—like it doesn't usually translate for most of them, and all that.
We had the discourse during the jamb announcement and brouhaha. Remember?
This thread: https://www.nairaland.com/7763389/top-jamb-scorers-where-today

I did not mock people with high grades, rather I praised them. See why I said you should have read it twice before replying me? My aim with that thread was to assess whether high JAMB scores translate to a high CGPA and a thriving career. As we saw, it does to an extent. In fact, I have conducted a newer search with WAEC scores and the findings are even more revealing. They have flourishing careers as of today. If not Nairaland anti-spam bot, I should have uploaded the information. I aim to check the trajectory so that we can authoritatively state that good grades lead to a comfortable life later on.

Education / Top WAEC Scorers In 2009 And Where They Are Today by Gerrard59(m): 9:10am On Aug 14
Officially known as WASSCE, but popularly known as WAEC, the organising body. It is the exam Nigerian students write to at the end of their secondary school education. It is also written by students in the West African sub-region. One of the major prerequisites for entry into tertiary institutions across the world. For easy understanding, both WAEC and WASSCE will be used interchangeably. For some people, I could not find anything, so it is stated as “nothing was found”. If you know such persons, kindly comment.

haybhi1:

That said. Libido in a woman is a function of her hormones and psychological state. While hormonal changes after childbirth can affect libido, it's a misconception that women lose interest in sex entirely or gradually as you implored. After removal of placenta, oestrogen reduces and libido follows suit. But they soon get their libido back during ovulation, esp after breastfeeding. However, physiology of every woman is different from the other. Women experience changes, like fluctuations, in their sex drive postpartum (due to stuffs like fatigue, breastfeeding, and emotional adjustments). So sexual desire in each woman is different, as it depends on individual's hormone status and his/her psychological state.
Thanks for the lesson and correction.

Never listen to 'school na scam' crooner or people like Gerrard5.9 who scoff at good grades as a pedestrian for life successes. Walai na lie! Most recent and unlikeliest of cases I know of: a guy studied Anatomy—the course I rate so low for its stifled economic opportunities—and scooped first class, took some administrative/politics/sporting roles in his department and he barely finished his service before he got overseas calling, to the Wests. Second class uppers are winning too; just add up lots of vital extracurricular activities, especially ones that weave in leadership. I bet it'll be smooth after school for you.
I am curious, do you know the meaning of scoff at or it was a funky phrase you learnt recently and decided to try it? Maybe you should explain how I scoff at good grades as a pedestrian for life successes

LoveUdie:
Every now and then, I hear a section of single and married men say that they can't be faithful to one wife with the argument that sticking to one woman for a lifetime is like condemning oneself to be eating only one diet or delicacy for life. Although that belief sounds funny to the ears, however, it's not really laughable. It's not! Honestly, many men don't understand what marriage means and its implications. I am never surprised when some men say that anyway. To me, it's simply a sign of ignorance and godlessness.

I will be blunt here: no woman is sweeter than the other woman. They all have the same thing under their legs. The only difference between your marriage and the marriages of those who are not cheating on their wives is contentment and the fear of God. No man who has the fear of God will be saying that he can't settle for just one woman in marriage. Truth be told: men who go after other women, generally have LUST issues but they won't admit it.
Sorry, but that is not true. All vaginas are not the same. Some possess more pulp than others. Some come well marinated. Others have hooge caps that need to be lifted before the inner labia can be viewed. Are all breasts the same? Some are perkier and rounded while others are pointed and smaller. Others are very gigantic and yummy. So, all vaginas are not the same. The same applies to preek.

Dear men, I would like you to know that women have sexual urges also. Don't think that women can't also say that they wish to try other men's joysticks just as you are always trying other women's vaginas. Who told you that sexual indiscipline is MALE or gender-based only? Whether men or women, we all feel the same way. But for the sake of contentment, respect of one's marital vows and most importantly the fear of God, many of those wives won't behave the wrong way.
While that is true, men have greater sexual urges than women. That has been biological proven: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/22552705/#:~:text=Sexual%20desire%20is%20typically%20higher,in%20studies%20of%20sexual%20desire.

One major reason you have not factored in is how married women outrightly deny their husbands sexual conjugal rights. Sometimes for genuine reasons such as being tired, but most times for flimsy reasons. Or when women use sex as a bargaining tool. Nairaland men have complained bitterly about how their wives deny them sex: https://www.nairaland.com/7888125/wife-constantly-denies-me-sex
In fact, I dare say women don't like sex once they have given birth. Their focus changes to the children while the men have blue balls walking upandown. I have read women write on Facebook that there are other ways to "enjoy" apart from sex. Sex seems to be a chore for most married women. This is why in my books, as long as the man provides dutifully, and does not bring forth any infection or child to madam, he should explore. After all, if he had no money, the woman (his wife) would not have been interested in his proposal in the first place. Lastly, lack of sex is a major cause of prostate cancer and black men are the biggest risk group.

You're giving polygamy a narrow spin.

Lots of Women want polygamy, and lots of women will choose a wealthy polygamous man than an ordinary civil servant. Or they frolick with these wealthy men even when they know he has other mistress.

Polygamy also protects women. It's better to be a second wife with all the conjugal protections for she and her kids than to be his mistress, or sleeping with different men.
Funny enough, that is something modern women haven't realised. Polygamy is disadvantageous to men because it entails responsibility. Most people in the world don't like extra responsibilities. So a dutifully polygamous man should be applauded.

It's crystal clear! The Chinese are known for extensive abuse of human rights here in Africa.

You will accuse me of whataboutery, but the West has committed more heinous human atrocities in Africa than the Chinese will ever do. The precursor to the Holocaust was conducted in Namibia by the Germans, not the Chinese. What about the plundering of resources in the DRC and the dehumanisation of Congolese by Belgians? Congolese were shipped off to Brussels and placed in museums for then European children to see, most of whom are in their fifties and sixties today.

So many factory workers working with Chinese have reported abuse and uncomfortable working culture
This is an East Asian culture, which I must say has been the backbone of their relentless economic success within a short period. From Japan to Taiwan, East Asians work very hard and tirelessly. Unsurprisingly, they have prospered not just economically, but academically as well as socially. As Africans, our sole interest should be to prosper at all odds and if it requires working long hours without rest, so be it. In this century, we have no business whatsoever with work-life balance or remote work or rest, the only thing we have is how to be prosperous. East Asians and now Southeast Asians have shown us that we can be prosperous by working tirelessly, saving and having delayed gratification. We don't have an option other than that. Or do you like poverty? You think Europeans, who plundered Africa anyway, did not work tirelessly as well? The fact that their children have a surfeit of holidays and preach work-life balance does not mean we, Africans, who are starting should copy them. We don't have that option. Building is always hard. We better build, or else our children will suffer for it. Time no dey again.

To show you a typical example of East Asian work ethic. Go search about the semiconductor factories TSMC announced to build in the US and Japan. The US project was announced before the one in Japan. However, the company (TSMC) encountered cultural differences in the US as they (Americans) could not work long hours as is done in Taiwan. The company had to fly in Taiwanese engineers (check the distance from Taipei to Arizona) to work on the construction. In fact, the CEO and founder of TSMC said the project will be delayed because of cultural issues, rather than funding. However, within that period, the company completed the project in Japan and as I write commenced the second plant in another part of the country. The project in the US which was slated to be completed in 2026 has been shifted to 2028. Meanwhile, the second plant in Japan is billed to be done in 2026. Apart from distance, cultural similarities between Taiwanese and Japanese were the reason why the Japanese project was completed even before schedule. Westerners who have worked with the Chinese have confessed that they cannot compete with East Asians in engineering, construction and manufacturing.

As Africans, we have to compete with the likes of India, Bangladesh, Vietnam and Malaysia for FDI. Na this swegbe and siddon-look attitude we wan use compete with these people? The unemployment rate will be catastrophic. The effects will be televised!

Secondly most illegal miners are Chinese mining our resources for their own gain. Regions like zamfara in the North, Illesa in the West have reported cases of Chinese illegal miners
The fault is entirely on the governments and indigenes in the area, not the Chinese. The Chinese are not working alone. Fellow Nigerians made it possible. If you have a loophole, expect outsiders to exploit it. That is basic human greed. No one is altruistic, not even one's parents. Human beings are selfish. You need to understand this. Nevertheless, the Chinese and to an extent Indians and Canadians (just one investment anyway) are the major investors in Nigeria's mining industry. Chinese mining companies have invested over $500 million into processing facilities across the country. I am not a Tinubu fan, but I must commend his mining minister - Dele Alake - who has been at the forefront of ensuring the mines are well mined and ores processed before eventual export.

The same Chinese are being attracted by Namibian, Zimbabwean and Indonesian governments to invest in mining and processing facilities. Chinese investors ARE THE ONLY WILLING investors who do this. Western investors are not interested in mining projects across the developing world, only the Chinese are. So, I ask, do you want jobs and prosperity or lovey-dovey? Please choose one.

Discrimination against indigenous people is rampant for instance the Abuja restaurant that barred indigenous people from getting served even in their supermarket I believe you know all these
That act is condemnable. The good thing is that the Chinese take corrections. To be honest, though, the Chinese like to keep to themselves. The good thing however is that compared to other groups of migrants, they don't seek to impose their cultural norms on others. It is why in countries/cities/counties with high Chinese immigration, the crime rates are low and social truancy is almost non-existent. Trust me, as much as the West don't like the Chinese because of economic competition, they prefer Chinese migrants considering how immigration issues are brewing there.

The Chinese are known for their loan trap tactics in other to take over strategic infrastructure like airports, bridge and even mines
This is a lie that has gone too far. Let me write about Nigeria, we owe the most to China as a country. However, we owe less than 4% of our total debt to the Chinese. We owe the World Bank and IMF - Western-controlled institutions - more than we owe the Chinese.
https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2019-08-06/nigeria-owes-more-money-to-china-than-any-other-country-chart (subscription needed) However, https://archive.md/PqOfN (free-to-read) Bloomberg is a western media organisation.

For the likes of Zambia and Kenya, they misused their loans and unlike the IMF & World Bank, they called for restructuring with Chinese lenders, which they agreed to. The last time Ghana sought a loan from the IMF, the institution threatened that it must accept the LGTV laws. Uganda was denied loans by the World Bank for the same eligibility issue. Which do you prefer, a pen!s in your yansh or a loan to build a road to major economic zones? Also, the Chinese have reduced their construction projects in Kenya and invested in Southeast Asia.

The Chinese have NOT requested that Zambians or Kenyans speak Chinese before loans are restructured. Moreover, Rwandans can earn $500 per month as Chinese interpreters. I had a roommate then in NYSC who earned 250K per month as a Chinese interpreter in Kaduna. How many people do you know in Nigeria who earn a good living as German interpreters?

Frankly speaking there is nothing so so special about London. Even Singapore looks more sophisticated to me or Atlanta Georgia in USA. I had a friend there she do tell that many illegal stuffs goes on there. From bribery to knife stabbing and even robbery but it's not as rampant as we have hear. They have a way if suppressing those negative news so you wont believe its not a heaven. Even here we have easy access to a medical doctor like private hospital but I learnt there it's not that easy ooo especially you are an immigrant sef. My own is just being where God wants you to be per time.If God wants you to be in Sri Lanka omooor forget you go enjoy this life wella. Na their currency strength, relatively stable system etc .
NOTHING is exciting about London, which is literally the only "excitable" city in all of the UK. It is just that Nigerians being so Anglo-focused believe it is the best thing since sliced bread. The city is not safe and is highly notorious for knife stabbings. They stab for a living in that city. Funds meant for policing have been slashed over the years. But here it is, it is one thing to slash police funding, but another thing to condone criminals. Londoners, just like the majority of British residents, have a soft spot for criminals. They condone criminals. Imagine the punishment meted out to a notorious phone thief?! It can never happen in Singapore. You get locked up and the keys are thrown into the Straits of Malacca!

London is no different from Cape Town, and this is me being fair to London else I would compare it to Dubai or Singapore. Atlanta is way better, especially for black migrants as the US offers more economic opportunities to black migrants than anywhere else. Oh, and yes! The health system is crumbling. Even millionaires are looking to flee: "The low-tax countries wooing the world’s wealthy" - FT

There are other livable cities in the world. I understand people crave for homogeneity, but since black Africans cannot have a functioning city dominated by us, then we should manage those places.

It can't be worse than Nigeria. Nigeria is a huge slum. Largest producer of crude oil and there's chronic scarcity of petrol. Is there petrol scarcity in South Africa? I'm definitely going to visit South Africa. People who have gone there say it's just like Europe.

Every country where Europeans have a major hand, especially Anglo-Saxons, that country will always produce richer Blacks than any Black majority and controlled country anywhere.
But we have to ask ourselves hard questions, why is it so? The same in the Bahamas, Barbados, Bermuda, Cayman Islands and to an extent Botswana. Is it cultural or genetic?

Even the Black Americans sold into slavery by Nigerians are now richer than Nigerians.

I haven't looked for it, but I bet you the average Black South African is richer and has higher HDI than the average Nigerian.
Yes, Black South Africans have more dollar millionaires than Nigerians. Black South Africans are the second richest set of black people after African Americans.

Some news from a foremost lawyer and socialist, Femi Falana. I'm proud to say I've seen this coming a looooong time ago. The end is near.

Good Luck to Nigeria.
The article is from February. Please where is the news article as of August that says Shettima was going to announce the creation of a Commodity Pricing Board? The last I read, Tinubu shelved the idea. If he had proceeded, it his kinsmen and those up north that would have suffered the most as they make a lot of money selling agro-commodities to exporters.

On its own, there is nothing wrong with subsidies in some areas, but for an ethnically diverse country that is highly populated and lacks data, it is futile. Also, Nigeria is not productive enough to afford subsidies.

I know asides your japan and east Asian countries, all other countries on earth are bad. But never knew why you have this belief
Why should biological women be at the forefront of an ideology that seeks to have biological males who disguise themselves as trans-whatever to participate in women's sports? Is that feminism as well? shocked

Landed properties in the choicest areas of Ikoyi, Magodo and Ikeja.
Unfortunately, I am not interested in owning real estate properties in Nigeria as the numbers don't make sense to me. On the other hand, apparently, due to those locations, I am not the right man for your friends as I am not interested in living there.

If I should own properties in Nigeria, it has to be in my dominant environment. Outside Nigeria, the numbers must make sense.

Too bad, but nothing spoil.

Gerrar.d59 would be a Maths/Economics genius.
As odd as it sounds, I am not good at maths. In fact, after my experience practising the McKinsey Problem Solving Test, I wrote an article on the importance of math education and getting good jobs. Hence, my signature. In the practice PST, my then-friend (who graduated with a First Class) got 6/10. I got 2/10. lipsrsealed If I were good at maths, I would have studied Economics and most likely graduated with a First Class. I am so good at the theoretical side of Economics. Thankfully, I have learnt the basics of mathematics which is partly behind my interest in data and figures.

On the other hand, I respect those who are very proficient in mathematics and especially physics. I have written the CV and cover letter of a then senior in school whose CGPA was 4.46 in Mathematics for an investment associate role at an investment firm in Nigeria. The role specified only First Class Mathematics and/or Physics. My senior was the only 2.1. graduate who was invited to the test centre. The rest had first class. I am awed when I see first class grads in maths and especially physics. I have come across two LinkedIn profiles of female first-class physics grads. I can literally worship the ground they walk on. grin
