Well, my plan is to lease ten acres or buy it outright if the price is conducive for me and my aim to cultivate cassava crop of high variety quality that will be profitable . Tips on how to start a small JATROPHA farm:

You can start by playing with lease land of one acre (Minimum plantaion) with 2 months old seedlings
The following are needed for initial start up on an acre of land:
1. Cost of Seedling per acre (1000 seedling)@N40 per stand = N40,000
2. Cost of leasing an acre per year = N2,000
3. Cost of survey per acre = N3,000
4. Cost of land preparation (tractor per acre) = N5,000
5. Cost of land preparation (manual labor per acre) = N12,000
6. Registration -Jatropha Association Ibadan Chapter = N2,500
7. Registration for Farmer’s club = N3,500
8. Cost of melon seed (for intercropping per acre) = N3,000
9. Cost of planting melon per acre = N6,000
Note
No 5 above would be use if the land has many stump that is tractor will find it difficult to work on it hence manual labour will be employ
No 8 & 9 are optional but to maximize the land usage so as to increase profitability. The maturity of the hybrid melon is three (3) months.
We do a buyback of N100 per kg for less than 10,000kg this is gd Mr
i think i understand d cost of starting this but pls how much can one realise as profit per acre in d first yr and following yrs.

It is Simple. Just buy some Fresh peper (Ata Rodo), get a Knife, cut them into two each and bring out the seeds into a buckets, and you are good to sow them!!...
But planting them from the scratch I will recommend a product for you,which you can use on the soil after planting this seeds to enable the water you used to wet the ground more "wetter".
