Politics / Fayose Declares, “god Told Me I’ll Be President Of Nigeria One Day” Hmmm Who We by ghwest: 11:35am On Feb 06, 2017
Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State has declared that God told him that he will one day become the president of Nigeria.

He made this known during the weekend at an annual media get-together held in the government house, Ado Ekiti, the state capital. Leadership reports.

Fayose said: “It is according to God’s will that I will one day become the president of Nigeria.”
“Do not bother to ask me questions as to how this will materialise, I also do not know how it will happen but all I know is that I shall one day occupy the presidential villa, not as a visitor but as president. Science/Technology / Samsung S7 Banned From Use On Planes As Officials Fear Explosions by ghwest: 9:55pm On Feb 04, 2017
In an extremely rare warning, the Federal Aviation Administration, FAA, has called on all Galaxy Note 7 users not to take the new Samsung phones with them on flights so as to avoid setting planes on fire.
This is even as the FAA warned passengers not to turn on, charge or put their phones in their check-bags during flights, because of
concerns about the device, which has now been singled out as a potential airborne fire hazard.
In a strongly worded statement released on Thursday evening, the FAA said that “In light of recent incidents and concerns raised by Samsung about its Galaxy Note 7 devices, the Federal Aviation Administration strongly advises passengers not to turn on or charge these devices on board aircraft and not to stow them in any checked baggage.”
Also, Qantas, Jetstar and Virgin Australia have offered similar advice to customers, with Qantas “requesting that passengers who own [the devices] do not switch on or charge them in-flight”.
The statement is coming barely a week after Samsung, announced a global recall and replacement program for millions of Galaxy Note 7 devices because of batteries exploding or catching fire.
Intervening on the ban, the International Air Transportation Association states, revealed that Samsung are not the first company to have battery problems.
“Although Samsung is the most recent company advising of faulty devices, others have issued similar recalls and warnings regarding lithium batteries in laptops over the last 12 months, so the industry is familiar with and equipped to manage such situations,” the IATA said.http://ghwestcosby..com.ng/2017/01/from-use-on-planes-as-officials-fear.html

Foreign Affairs / 'US & South Korea Are Plotting Nuclear War Against Us'- North Korea Alleges As U by ghwest: 2:37pm On Feb 03, 2017
The tensions between the U.S and North Korea keeps on escalating, and show no signs of slowing down as North Korea has accused the U.S of plotting with South Korea to attack North Korea with Nuclear weapons.

North Korea's allegations comes after just a day after newly appointed US Defense Secretary James Mattis arrived in South Korea and pledged to deploy THAAD -- the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense system -- to protect South Korea and friends of America from Kim Jong-Un's nuclear bomb threats.
Kim Jong Un's regime in the early part of 2016 carried out nuclear missile tests but since Donald Trump's presidential election win and eventual resumption of duties, Kim has been quiet with his nuclear test plans.
According to statements by the National Peace Committee of North Korea, reported by the official Korean Central News Agency, the U.S and South Korea's desire to deploy the THAAD, has put the two countries on the brink of nuclear war with North Korea.
The KCNA statement said:
'THAAD is part of an offensive strategy between Seoul and Washington, and the two countries have worked out a plan for a preemptive attack on the North and are desperately pushing it forward, pushing the situation on the peninsula to the brink of a nuclear war."

Defense secretary Mattis, who arrived Seoul's Osan Air Base warned North Korea on behalf of America, saying it was North Korea's continous threats of Nuclear action and Nuclear strikes, that made the creation and deployment of THAAD necessary.
Speaking in a press conference on Friday alongside South Korea's Defense minister, Han Min-koo, Mattis warned North Korea.
"North Korea continues to launch missiles, develop its nuclear weapons program and engage in threatening rhetoric and behavior," Mattis said.
"Any attack on the United States or on our allies will be defeated and any use of nuclear weapons will be met with a response that will be effective and overwhelming,"
"We are also committed to expanding trilateral venues of cooperation with Japan where the mutual defense of our nations is best served through teamwork,"

Crime / I Kidnapped My Boss’s Son Because He Refused To Settle Me After My Serving..... by ghwest: 11:02pm On Feb 02, 2017
23 year oldsuspected kidnapper, Celestine Chimaobi, has told the police in Lagos state that he kidnapped his boss's son, Emeka Chukwuyere, at Alafia in the Orile-Iganmu area of Lagos state recently because the father refused to settle him after he had served him for 5 years.

Celestine who was arrested alongside his friend at Apapa, told the police that after serving for five years, his boss took him to the village in Imo state and left him there without any settlement.
“I served my boss for five years at Mandilas (Lagos Island). After serving him, he took me to my village in Imo State and refused to settle me. So, I returned to Lagos and kidnapped his son, so that he would settle me.” He went on the kidnap mission with his friend, Emmanuel. “I told Emmanuel that the boy was my brother and that he would be staying with me for some days. He didn’t know I kidnapped the boy. He saw the boy when he came to the hotel and asked me who he was. Then, I told him he’s my brother and that he came to spend some time with me. The next time he came, he saw the boy and I told him the boy would leave on Monday. Then, on Tuesday, we met on the road and I begged him to escort me to the bank so that I can collect money from the Automated Teller Machine (ATM). That’s how we were arrested. I singlehandedly kidnapped the boy. I wanted his father to pay the ransom and I would use it as my settlement. I worked for him for five years. He’s from Okija in Anambra State and I have been selling clothes for him at Mandialas. In the agreement he had with my parents before he took me, he promised to settle me after four years. He started to count my apprenticeship from 2014. In 2016 when he was supposed to settle me, he opened another shop and asked me to be paying him N20,000 monthly. I could not cope because of the recession in the country, so I asked him to settle me as agreed but he refused, rather he sent me back to the village. I came back early January and I stayed in a hotel. It was then that the idea of how to kidnap his son came to me. Last Monday around 7:30am, I laid ambush around the house and picked the boy on his way to school. The boy emerged around 7:45am. He came to me when I called him and I took him away. I called my Oga on phone the next day to pay N5 million into my account if he wants to see his son again. I sent him my account number. I was on my way to collect my ATM card from the bank on Apapa Road when I was arrested. I never knew that police were on my trail.”
He will be charged to court soon.

Nairaland / General / Forget 2019 Elections, Nigerians Are Hungry – Atiku by ghwest: 5:09pm On Feb 02, 2017
Erstwhile Vice President, Atiku Abubakar says the thought of 2019 general election should be currently forgotten because Nigerians are hungry.
The former Vice President made the statement in reference to the hardship in the country.
He made the remark during his visit to Niger State over the death of a former governor of the state, Alhaji Abdulkadir Kure, yesterday.

Addressing reporters on his preparations for the 2019 presidency, Atiku said: “Who is talking about 2019 now, when there is no food on the table? People are hungry.”
Speaking on the late Kure, the Turakin Adamawa said: “He was a friend, a colleague, a brother, a compatriot. His death is a personal loss to me. The kind of pious life he lived will definitely earn him paradise.”
Crime / American Woman Pregnant With Grandfather’s Baby by ghwest: 4:32pm On Feb 02, 2017
A young American woman has recently sparked outrage by admitting she is conducting a sexual relationship with her grandfather.
The pair met when Julie Turner, 23, discovered she had been adopted as a youngster, and began searching for her biological family. She found that her only living relative was her 73-year-old grandfather Charlie Peterson, and immediately contacted him. The couple exchanged letters, photographs and phone calls before arranging to meet at Peterson’s home in California, to catch up and discuss family history.
However, over the course of their time together, both parties began to develop a strong sexual attraction to one another.
Upon first meeting, Turner describes feeling a “surge of sexual excitement” when hugging her grandfather, and
an urge to kiss him. The feelings of attraction continued, leading a confused Turner to research her situation on the internet. Here she uncovered information on GSA, or Genetic Sexual Attraction, where close relatives feel sexually attracted to one another when meeting for the first time as adults.
Online, Turner found many examples of people engaging in sexual relationships with long-lost relatives, and decided to make her Grandfather aware of her feelings. Though confessing to worries about the age gap and being related, Peterson admitted to his own feelings of attraction, and the couple had sex that evening.
Since then, Turner has moved in with her grandfather and found work in the local area. The pair claim to have sex at least four times a week (sometimes with the aid of Viagra) and Turner describes their sex life as “unbelievable”.
Most shockingly though, the couple began to try for a baby and Turner recently fell pregnant. While claiming to be “over the moon”, she admits that she is aware of the possibility of birth defects, and that if this is the case states that “I don’t know if we’ll keep it because it might not be fair on the baby”. Misplaced or otherwise, the pair remain optimistic, and Peterson claims that he has no regrets about getting Julie pregnant. Indeed, he describes himself as “the luckiest man in the world”.

She has been the victim of cruel bullying since the age of 11, which became so bad she started self-harming and at one point tried to take her own life. 24-year-old Harnaam has since embraced her body hair sporting a full beard and letting nature take its course.

After appearing on This Morning a year ago to share her experiences, she returned to promote her new film, Labels.
Made by charity Fixers, Kaur said the aim of the film is to ‘prevent bullying and to show people the effects of bullying on young people’. She said: ‘The reaction has been amazing, so many people have found it powerful. Adults have shown it to their children, parents tell me their children cried watching it.’ Her brother stars in the video as the bully, but Harnaam said that in reality he has been her ‘backbone’.

‘Once you do that and accept who you are then the harshness doesn’t matter because you’re content. ‘Obviously going through school I went through an immense amount of bullying. It takes a lot of strength to decide to kill yourself, until one day I thought the energy I put towards suicide I wanted to turn into a positive energy.
