Ask the writer what solutions he has provided for his community
Thank you sir for giving me the opportunity to discuss what I have done for my community. First, I should state it here clearly that I a youth just like you with no direct connections to any politician(s) whatsoever, but the ones I am privileged to have access to, I have countless times always profered solutions to the various challenges of my people to them, i have even raised proposals on food security for my local government, written bills bothering on same food security and also written about the neglect for my people with talent, still no positive feedback. However, I am a president of a youth forum (Innovative and Creative Youths Forum Abuja), and we are comprising of young, talented, skilled youths across various trades and occupations. As a organisation, we have been able to create awareness about the dangers of social vices, and the need to explore our God given potentials, and we have even as much as visited schools across 3 local governments with impactful programs. We have also partnered with the University of Benin (Political Science Department) to organise symposiums where Bank CEO, politicians, senior government officials came to enlighten and tutor the students and youths on their involvement in politics and entrepreneurship, and we got testimonies that it was very impactful to them. We also organised same program this year, and it was even more impactful as four (4) students got scholarship from the special invited guests and the keynote speakers. Let me stop here.

Anyone or group of persons that protest should be shot at sight. Any survivors should be gathered together and bombed with all their body parts scattered all over for dogs to feed on them.
Learn how to endure the hunger. It is a crime to protest in Nigeria because Nigerians don't have the right to protest.
I think you are rather being sarcastic sir, because I understand that by our constitution, we have the right to protest.

Politics / Are Our Leaders Aloof Of The Current Suffering Of Nigerians?? by gifted2020(m): 10:06pm On Jun 01
Are Our Leaders Aloof of What's Happening Currently in the Country?

Fellow Nigerians,

I come to you today with a heavy heart and a pressing question: Are our leaders truly aware of the suffering that the average Nigerian faces daily? It seems like those in power are turning a blind eye to our struggles, and their silence is deafening.

Let's talk about food prices. Have you been to the market recently? Basic items like rice, beans, and even garri have become luxuries for many families. Inflation is skyrocketing, making it increasingly difficult for us to afford basic necessities. How are we expected to survive when we can't put food on our tables?

Our farmers, the ones who provide our food, are not safe. Insecurity is rampant across the country, and our farmers live in constant fear. They can't go to their farms without the threat of being attacked. This insecurity is killing our food production. How can we feed ourselves if those who grow our food are scared for their lives?

The rising crime rates are a direct result of this desperation. Our youth, who should be the hope for our future, are increasingly turning to crime. This isn't a choice made out of desire, but out of a lack of opportunities and support. It's a cry for help from a generation that feels abandoned.

What about the electricity blackouts caused by energy tariffs that we can’t afford both at home and even across other sectors like the tertiary institutions? The increasing electricity tariff posing as a giant burden on both individuals and companies, forcing some to even to retrench workers in other to still be in business. Consequently adding to the population of already over bloated population of unemployed persons in Nigeria, and these job losses obviously adds to the risks in society as unemployed persons laid off from their jobs will definitely look for any means to survive, even if it means joining criminal gangs or engaging in activities prone to criminal involvement.

Furthermore, companies in Nigeria are leaving due to increasing taxes and unfavorable business policies, leading also to more job losses and difficult livelihoods for people. The increasing taxes on the average Nigerian are becoming a serious burden. We are even left questioning what the taxes and revenues are being used for, as we cannot see any actual palliatives to cushion the effect of the hardship on us.

We've heard of a minister allegedly diverting funds meant for the public and other cases of embezzlement by our leaders. Where is the hope for the common man when even the funds meant to help us are being stolen?

Now, where is our government in all of this? What are they doing? The grassroots, the everyday people, feel ignored. It seems like our leaders are more interested in their own comfort than in addressing the issues that matter most to us.

Our legislators, the ones we elected to represent us, where are they? What have they done to improve our lives? i understand that while some have empathy and are looking for ways to mitigate the suffering of their constituents, others seems not to be bothered until election approaches again for them. Can they honestly say that their constituents are happy and satisfied? We trusted them with our votes, believing they would make a difference. But has anything changed? We are still suffering, still struggling, and still waiting for the promises to be fulfilled.

Nigerians deserve better. We need leaders who listen to us, who understand our pain, and who act to make our lives better. It's time for our leaders to step up and take real, meaningful action. No more empty promises, no more ignoring the plight of the people. We need solutions, and we need them now.

Comrade Ebor Godsgift is my name and i am just a Concerned Nigerian who wants the best for us all.

swiz2:
I laugh when I hear folks mention "steal ideas"

Ideas are one of the most worthless things in the globe until they're executed.

The one reason why partnerships fail in this part of the world is due to some baseless hoarding of ideas. Its even funnier when you finally get to hear the so-called hidden treasure idea, it will be so petty, common, and almost worthless to the current economy.

You'd get to 80years, and still be hoarding irrelevant ideas while people have gone ahead with implementation, and changing the globe.

No one can even execute ideas much more than the one who conceived it in the first place.

A potential investor might be lurking around this thread, and possibly pick someone's idea and partner with them.

Keep your ideas to yourself, and die with it. No one gives a f**k about it.
DM me bro lets talk.

Sounds weird, but sometimes it's better to share that your idea with someone you probably might never meet in life but who has the funds to bring it to fruition for the good of humanity, than to take the idea with you to the grave where it might perish forever, it's sad though cry
God bless you sir

1. There's no new idea.

3. Idea without funding will take you nowhere.

I must confess that the implementation of the Oronsaye Report is commendable. But it is not enough. The President should speedily direct the Revenue Mobilization Allocation and Fiscal Commission to reduce the salaries of all political office holders and appointees by 60%.

The country cannot continue to support an already overburdened recurrent expenditure at the expense of the masses, especially now that oil is useless.
