Politics / Re: Rivers Releases Judith Amaechi’s Condolence Visit Photo by gisoj: 12:23pm On Aug 22, 2013
ODENIG: Nairalanders should show respect.I know many cannot stand and insult their mum. That is why i blamed the person of Wole Soyinka that have thought youth on how to insult elders. What else will he lecture the public on.Wole soyinka has a business he is protecting in Rivers under the auspicies of the book readers association, where Amechi is dolling out millions to him and the public joins to insult a woman. The first Lady .Sorry for Nigeria Elder state men as for me they have nothing to offer.I call them Elder thief men
What brings wole soyinka to this matter. is this not a matter about mrs Amaechi signing a condolence register for the mother of mrs jonathan? Instead of you to admit that mrs jonathan lied by saying Mrs Amaechi did not pay her a condolence for the death of her mother you are here pushing the blame on a man who has nothing to do with the matter. You should face the real issue not being sentimental.

Otses: I used to like Limca way back then, what a pity it's no longer available.
Limca is still very much available infact it's waxing stronger it now has a 50cl bottle in addition to the 35cl bottle. Though it is acquired by coca cola but it's doing very fine in the market. if you live in lagos you will know this.
Politics / Re: Diya And Adisa Already Pardoned In 1999 - Official Gazette Reveals by gisoj: 1:05pm On Mar 15, 2013
Upright750: But my question is that .. why have these people remained in the prison till date after they has been pardoned 13 years ago . where is those lawyers and so called human right lawyers since then ? why have they not let public knew that these people still in the prison after pardon . For me the past presidents hands are not clean and that is the reason why they don't want to allow these men go after pardon .. the real truth is yet to review .
Na wa for you o. They are not in prison they've been released since Abdusalami took over in 1998. even some of them are no more alive today like Adisa and Tajudeen. Diya and others are still living and they are free from any crime. so they are not in prison.

Business / Re: Preventing Your Business Name From Being Reallocated By The CAC? by gisoj: 4:41pm On Mar 07, 2013
Drunk:
My brother, that is the Nigerian factor of most of our government owned/run organization. Normally the search can be done almost "immediately" that's if the network connectivity is in top speed and if not, it might take couple of hours. However, most times some people are just too lazy at doing the job they are being paid for to do because it's just a single search and would want to accumulate the search requests and have them all done at once. That is the reason for their 1 week duration. Be observant of the the print out copy of confirmation of availability they would give you, you would notice at the bottom and top of the page that it was printed from an online web application. Talking about cost, shouldn't search be N200? Well, maybe it's being reviewed upwards.
You are very right and i agree with you completely. The search is now 500 naira from late December 2012.

It's advisable to get the TIN like you mentioned but most banks don't have that as a major requirement to have an account opened with a Business Name. Basically, they might request for Certificates, ID's, utility bill and proof of business location
The central bank has made it compulsory for all Nigerian banks to demand for TIN before opening a company account. There is no bank that will open a company account for you without TIN. I know this when i wanted to open my company account recently all the banks i went demanded for it. In Gtbank they even showed me the circular from CBN .But getting the TIN is very easy and it's free.

momoohwos: Please I need info on the requirements for opening a bank account with my business name. Thanks
To open a bank account with your business name you need to get to Federal inland revenue service close to your address and apply for Tax identification number(TIN)then go to a bank of your choice. Without the TIN you cannot open a bank account. Other requirements to open the account include your business name certificate plus the form attached to it, money, your information etc.

Politics / Re: Lagos Was Party To National Good Governance Tour Agreement by gisoj: 2:28pm On Mar 01, 2013
My problem with the good governance tour is that Labaran Maku was asking the governors to fund their expenses for the tour running into millions of Naira. Since he is the one who wants to inspect the projects, his ministry should have provided the money for the tour instead of asking money from the governors. If a governor pays them the millions they are asking for the tour and during the tour they are able to see that the governor is not performing what will they tell the public? Since the governor sponsor their tour they will surely praise him even though he is not doing well. That is why i dont believe the good governance tour, it's just a jamboree. Truly, i dont need any tour for me to know if my president or governor is performing. I dont need any tour for me to know that the federal government is currently repairing the lagos apapa expressway,I dont need any tour for me to know that the federal government is repairing the railway system likewise i dont need any tour for me to know that lagos state government is massively constructing road in Ikorodu, okota Ejigbo etc. I dont need any tour for me to know that lagos state government is providing clean and portable water in Agodo Egbe where i live. still i dont need the tour to tell me that the minister for Aviation is really doing very well. They all have their publicity departments whose duty it is to tell the public what they are doing and it's for the public to agree with them or not. I dont believe in attacking individuals but i believe in what i see. whether Jonathan or Fashola, whether PDP or ACN none of them is saint all i want is good governance and if you are found wanting you will meet us at the poll in the next election.

Business / Re: The Removal Of Fuel Subsidy Is Good? by gisoj: 1:49pm On Oct 15, 2011
NuhuRibadu:

removal of subsidies is long overdue in the coz of the following
-importers become richer at the expense of nigerians
-smugglers become richer at the expense of the country
-neighboring countries profit at the expense of nigeria
-no sensible corporation will invest in building a refinery in a nigeria if nigeria continues subsidizing oil, and we all know, govt can neither build or manage refineries, and this leaves us in the never-ending cycle of importing
-subsidizing encourages corruption and laziness, and provides an easy means to loot the country dry without anyone noticing
-foreign companies (from which we import ) and their host countrries benefit at the expense of nigeria
-economy built on "imported fuel subsidies" is very likely to crash like a pack of cards coz it is built on lies
- etc

truth is however,
- that this subsidizing is about the only thing govt is doing for nigerian and removing it will cause untold hardships
- benefits of subsidy removal is not going to be seen in a day - it is a long term thing
- the money saved by subsidizing will most likely be looted again by these corrupt politicians

we just need to weigh these pros and cons and decide on which way we want to go

And if government can not build and maintain a refinery and government of other countries are doing it to the extent that they are refining for us does it not show we dont have a good government ? They should bow their heads in shame instead of giving excuse
Business / Re: The Removal Of Fuel Subsidy Is Good? by gisoj: 12:51pm On Oct 15, 2011
can somebody tell me what has the FG done for the Nigerian Citizens? have they provided us Electricity, Good road, Free health care, free education? as far as am concern the FG has not done anything for Nigerians and now they want to remove fuel subsidy. Removing fuel subsidy is never a solution to stop those cabals because they will still invent another means to do their biz. FG, build us new refineries and repair the existing ones and let them work at full capacities  then you can remove your subsidy and share among yourself in your federal government Nigeria limited company.because you will never use the money to the anything for nigerians since you've not done anything for us even when you read budget every year. After all you all own refineries outside nigeria and those are the places you send the products to for refining. God save Nigeria from bad leadership.
Politics / Re: Between Yorubas And Ghanaians: What Is The Problem? by gisoj: 3:28pm On Oct 10, 2011
this post has no meaning to me. since you are the one who know there is problem between yorubas and ghanians then do your research and tell us what the problem is. for me there is no problem between both people because am always in ghana and am a yoruba man. I have many of them as friends but i know that there is rivalry between Nigerians (not yorubas alone) and ghanians. and the rivalry is not a big deal it happens everywhere.
