Politics / Is Ogun State Jinxed by globatop: 11:02am On Oct 19, 2012 |
Are people living at ogun/ lagos state boundaries jinxed of road repairs. The people living at border towns (akute, Ajuwon, Agbado, Toyin, Okearo, etc) of these states has never been lucky with any of the civilian governors in terms of road repairs. We have local govt that care less about maintenance of roads to the extent that the road leading to their area office at Akute is impassable sometime. How can local govt officials be watching flood water washing away the road between Ajuwon junction and grail land leaving the drainage provided for it. Most drainage at ajuwon bus stop are blocked. Our local govt officials are only good at collecting rates, taxes and dues while the maintenance of infrastructure to which rates dues and taxes are paid are neglected. Governance in Nigeria is inefficient, their inefficiency is the reason why all forms of obnoxious laws are made, yet there is no success. If major road construction can not be made as soon as practicable, at least the existing one could be repaired, looking at the pix below, you will agree with me that the part of the state is gradually be cut off civilizations. How would any citizen be happy paying dues, rates and taxes to Ifo local govt. The successive govt of ogun state has not been paying attention to these communities, a former gov once said he doesn’t know akute ajuwon, this is sad.

Politics / Re: Buhari - Nigeria's Head of State 1983-1985 by globatop: 2:47pm On Feb 11, 2012 |
@GenBuhari. STOP THIS WEB PAGE CAMPAIGN, BUHARI HAD ALL THE OPPORTUNITY TO FIGHT BACK THE IN-HOUSE COUP PLOTTERS, HE WAS CAUGHT LIKE A CHICKEN, BECAUSE HE WAS TIRED OF GOVERNANCE, BETTER STILL HE HAD ACHIEVED HIS AIM OF TRUNCATING OUR DEMOCRACY IN 1983. HIS MISSION WAS TO CONFISCATE THE REPORT THAT INDICTED HIM OVER THE MISSING $2.8B, ( THE POLITICIAN WERE TO VISIT HIS CASE AFTER 1983 ELECTION), AS SOON AS THAT WAS DONE HE LOST INTEREST, ALL THE ACHIEVEMENT THAT WERE CREDITED TO HIM WERE NOT HIS IDEAS, WE ALL KNOW HIM AS A STOOGE, IDIAGBON WAS THE ONE RULING, THAT WAS THE REASON WHY IBB PLANNED A COUNTER COUP AS IT WAS CLEAR BUHARI WAS QUITTING THE STAGE FOR IDIAGBON. IT WAS A PLANNED PALACE COUP TO GET RID OF IDIAGBON, WHY WAS HE (BUHARI) NOT KILLED IN THE COUP. PLS MODERATOR, I CONSIDER THIS THREAD A SCAM. |
Politics / Re: Buhari - Nigeria's Head of State 1983-1985 by globatop: 1:30pm On Feb 10, 2012 |
@Reference Nice post Bro. The people are always responsible for the type of Govt they have- a nice saying. If Buhari and co-junters did not truncate our democracy in 1983 people like IBB and ABASHA may not have opportunity to bastardize our nation. Again, our labour leaders are too complacent even in the democracy, how would our labour leaders be fighting for salary increase, in the midst of failing amenities like power, defective infrastructure like refineries, poor governance like corruption and politicians spending almost 50% of budget on their personalities. How would democracy thrive when more than 75% of our people are living below poverty line. Let labour fight for improved power supply and see if politicians will see people to use as thugs to do their bidding. God Bless Nigeria. |

Politics / Re: Nigeria To Buy Electricity From Ghana - Can You Believe It? by globatop: 1:03pm On Dec 16, 2011 |
a good leader projects, ghanain knows they can never supply power to Nigeria, but if SA could generate 40,000MW as against Nigeria's 4,000MW, considering SA/Nigerian population ratio, are we really giant of Africa, Nigeria is receiving blows from all the countries we were assisting because of our corrupt nature, too bad |
Politics / Re: Darkness Looms: Egbin Power Station Collapses With 1080MW by globatop: 12:59pm On Dec 15, 2011 |
what type of country is this, South Africa produces power in excess of 40,000MW, Nigeria,s highest generator of 1000MW gave way reducing power production more than 25%, What does it take to allow foreign investor into power sector, since private participation has been allowed in the communication sector, see the transformation, our leaders are not sincere about privatization of power sector, so insensitive to the cause of common man. |

Politics / Re: Fuel prices was never subsidised, "subsidy removal" is pure deceit - Buhari by globatop: 12:59pm On Nov 09, 2011 |
Govt in and out has been claiming they subsidize fuel, for who? They only subsidized their inefficiency. The subsidy has been removed more than 10 times, how much was the subsidy, why should they be interested in subsidizing when they can call on private sector to build refineries for local use. Why should fuel for domestic consumption be refined outside Nigeria, the haulage fee to and from abroad would not have been necessary. What are the national assembly doing, are they as vision-less as all the past head of state, or are they part of the cabal in the nerve of the nation. Why cant we refine for domestic consumption, many nigerians has foreign refineries all over the world. Remove subsidy and risk the entity called nigeria |
Politics / Re: Minister Explains Reintroduction Of Toll Gates by globatop: 12:19pm On Nov 09, 2011 |
When are we going to get it right in this country, every successive govt will always have one lair to appoint as minister, so it is non collection of toll that causes dilapidation of our major roads, where are they spending the yearly road allocations. Nigeria has the best economy among west African countries, yet we have the worst infrastructure, smaller countries in the sub region are not having energy crisis let alone road problems. I for one am in support of privatization of every infrastructure in Nigeria, but the govt should tell us why poor masses should be excluded from enjoying the wealth of this nation, govt will not patch the leakages in the country treasury nor reduce the robbery going on in the National assembly called `remuneration, instead, the little benefits enjoyed by the poor masses is what they refer to as subsidy. Mr Minister privatize the roads rather than create another avenue for you and your cohort to exploit the masses. |

This experiment will tell us if kwarans are really mumu. How can a non indigene call sway for this long. The son has been governor of the state for 8years, countless of other children and inlaws are in state and federal assemblies, even if kwara has only one senatorial district, is Saraki the only family in the district. Lets wait for the outcome of state guber election. |
Politics / Re: Lagos State Governorship Debate On Channels by globatop: 6:27pm On Mar 03, 2011 |
@anonimi Democracy dividends CANNOT be obtained through ACN - Autocrats Congress of Nigeria- old men imposing their wives, kids, in-laws, relations and maybe even househelps on their party members. ur advice is noted, but dont forget that even BRF was forced on electorate then, he later became a blessing to Lagosian, Abike Dabiri of National Assembly was Tinunbu"s candidate, she is equally good, if their wives, inlaws and even concubines can deliver, let them be, surely, ACN arrangement is far better than what has been happening in Kwara state, even better than Yardua treatment from OBJ. |
