Where was the beef sausage in your list? Or you carefully dodged it, it did rather have it with virgin olive oil and no seasoning cubes and salt

I didn't dodge it.

Irish or sweet potato?

Either works, I used Irish for this one.

Big man food in this APC poverty times.
Looks very tasty grin
Well, seems it is the parks and gardens guys that have money now under apc. Agberos, the new middle class, are the big boys in town that can afford such luxuries.
OP, will olive oil work, instead of regular cooking oil?

Olive oil will be perfect.

Is it reasonable to use the exact ingredients you listed for the beef shawarma for turkey shawarma in that case?

Yes please. It will come out well.

Please in your own judgement, which specific ingredients will go with turkey shawarma, i have watched your chicken and beef shawarmas and seen that there are different ingredients being used.

Ohk. For Turkey Shawarma you will need boneless Turkey meat.

Asides that, any vegetable you are comfortable with is fine. Most times I use what is available to me at the moment or what I crave at the time.

What I think is most important is the wrap. Soft fluffy wraps is always better that the thick hard ones. The wrap adds its own taste to the Shawarma.

As a child, I loved choco milo so much, the amount I could afford to buy at a time was never enough. cheesy
So, I remember I had to resist the strong urge to chew them, so that they don't finish quick.
Then, I would think to myself "when I grow up and have money ehn, I will buy plenty choco milo and chew them two at a time without mercy, until I've had my fill" hahahahahaha grin

I wouldn't say I've had choco milo to my fill, but now, I can confidently chew as much choco milo as I want, knowing I can always buy as much as I want. 😌

Ah, the thing is I meant Nri-Awka/Oka as a geographical axis but nni-oka (as in corn fufu) is a good swallow for ogbono. Ever eat it with anything else, did you, when you were with your mum?

I actually ate the akara together with the ukwa (same bowl, sef) but common sense would probably suggest I wasn’t supposed to. I was just feeling adventurous.

We ate Nni-Oka with all soups.
My mother will start up with small Alibo then add the Oka to give it that little stretchy feel.

Nni-Oka with Ofe Ogbono is everything!

Adventure in food is nice too, that's how we discover new recipes.

I don’t like onugbu that much, t.b.h., (although being from the part of Anambra I’m from it’s very-much a quintessential staple ofe) but I’m a sucker for egusi and ukwa with unwashed bitter-leaves (I had some of the latter yesterday with a sprinkling of akara). I think that’s how it is with me more than anything (a mixture of sweetness and unadulterated bitterness). But generally Nri-Oka people (my axis) can’t do without onugbu, especially my auntie Nkechi (she was renowned for the making the best onugbu, ukwa and small chops in Awka). The grassroots and meticulous cooking gene rubs off on me from both sides of t’family but onugbu’s something I just leave to the experts. I wouldn’t know how to prepare that if my life depended on it it’s that challenging, IMO. And to be fair I’m not even from Nnewi so I can do without loving pure ofe onugbu like that.

Am intrigued with the Ukwa with unwashed bitter leaves and Akara. Did you eat both together or at different times.

Nri-Oka reminds me of my mother. It was the best swallow growing up.

Ok ma

But ma, is it possible to just have a shop without wanting customers to sit nd eat there. But will be selling take-aways to people coming to my shop nd still take my normal food ordering via sms, call nd online

Sorry for quoting u again. I felt a need to ask

Its possible.

I know of someone that has a kitchen (shop) to cook only Ukwa (Bread fruit) and deliver on order.
No sit in eating, that's her niche and its working for her.

Tankz ma

Pls dis is my last question nd i will neva disturb u again

Are the two of dem important(operating without a shop nd operating with a shop). Can i do one(online nd words of mouth) nd leave the other(physical shop)?

The shop, is it going to have chairs nd tables were customers will sit down nd eat there or it is just an office or house were i will be doing my cooking nd tidying

Tank u

You can always ask me questions and if I have the answers I will share with you.

Opening a physical shop depends on the funds available to you. If you have the money, its better to open a restaurant, with chairs and tables for people to come in and eat.

That's a better marketing strategy cos people can attest to your meals and will easily order for take away or recommend other people if the food is good.

Opening a restaurant will also require extra hands, it's not what you can do alone especially when your business starts growing.

You can also operate without a physical shop, where your phone is your online shop and people place their orders with call, SMS, social media, etc and you deliver.

I hope this helps.

Good evening ma. In doing food delivery, do i need a physical shop for it?

And can u pls explain more on dat food delivery stuff.(asin what does it mean)

Sorry for derailing ur thread

Ohk, for the food delivery you might not need a shop to start with if you don't have one already.

So the food delivery is when you cook for people and they pay you for the food.
Showcase your meals in your social media handles, your friends and family should know too. Many people want nice meals but might not have time to make them and they outsource it to some one to prepare for them.

So basically you cook and deliver to people, through trusted dispatch preferably till you can open a place if that's what you intend to.

I baked between 18 to 20 minutes for both the oven and pot.

Let it not be as if my own is too much. 😏
It's a very healthy fish sha.😌

Nne, Croaker is overhyped if you ask me.
I must add sauce or stew to enjoy it unlike the others.
