Not hard.

I applied for a visiting visa alongside my family in December 2022. Got appointment date for January 6, 2023. VISA APPROVED with no document requested. Grace followed me sha. I’m on a student visa in the Uk. Though I’ve finished studying but my BRP is still valid. For another 2months.

Go to the US site. Apply and include a genuine purpose for travelling. Get a date for appointment and get in touch. I might help

Hi, I believe it won't be a problem cos for example University of Hertfordshire has provision for nursing mothers. They have a nursery school where University students with kids can enrol them in while they are having lectures. So I'm pretty sure many other universities in UK will have that provision for students with children. As long as that provision exist, I see no reason why you will be rejected visa.

I pm u please respond

You will probably need a letter of consent from the dad.
Out of curiosity, how do you plan to combine your studies with taking care of your baby? You might have to include that details in your visa application as well.

Full time childcare is very expensive. If you can afford it, then very good!!

So are you suggesting not to go with her? Well my original plan is to go with her n get her stamp on her passport, so it can be easier to bring her to d uk whenever. Then bring her back to stay with my mom so I can focus on studies, after wish come back for her

In a situation where d child bears my surname, even in her intl passport, cos d father rejected her. How can I go about this?
Would an affidavit fly?

URGENT!! URGENT!! URGENT!!

Good morning everyone, I'm a single mom of a 9-month-old child, never been married. Gotten admitted and already paid my deposit. I intend going along with my baby. I have enough for our pof. My question now is, hope UKVI won't reject us, because I'm going for master's yet I have a baby, and it's just the both of us. I need to know if anyone here has gone through this before. Was the visa approved?

I await your response you'll so I can begin with my pof.

Thanks

@ralphjean, I believe you are more than eligible. You can go through a mortgage broker and it makes application very much easy. Although just selected banks accept Tier 2 visa Halifax, Santander and Natwest (according to mine).

I am currently using one which the service is free of charge and they get paid from the bank. All this will be stated on the AIP eventually.

For deposit, some people do joint contributions (ajo) to raise this, if not feasible for you then try have a property budget and start saving the 5% of that based on a monthly target.

Obviously if you have a partner this will be much easier as you can pull resources together. You are also eligible for HTB which is govt *Equity* loan which helps add 20% interest to your deposit.

The HTB is interest free for 5 years but beware govt owns 20% of your property. This isn't as bad as it sounds and the mortgage brokers will advise you better. They will also assist with your HTB application and any information you need.

N.B- Btw, your parent can also gift you the deposit. Something called *gifted deposit*. Some banks accept friends gifting it as well to get you on the property ladder

Thanks so much

Dear friends on this thread,

Re: TV Licence Fees

I am writing this to you because of my firm believe that this thread is meant to promote the right thing. I am writing this because I believe that dodging TV Licence fees is illegal (at least within the ambit of the law as IG currently is).

My advice:
If you do not require the TV licence, it’s fine. All you need to do is:
Visit the licensing website:
https://www.tvlicensing.co.uk/check-if-you-need-one/topics/cancellations-and-refunds-top7

In less than 2 minutes, fill the form.
They will send you an exemption.

Afterwards, you don’t have to be glancing over your shoulders and frigging, cowering in fear anytime there is a knock on the door.

Yours sincerely,
RalphJean
(who applied for, and got an exemption hence I do not watch, I do not pay and do not need to sound reminders to my children to shut the door to Law Enforcement Officers).

Ok

⚠️TB CERTIFICATE: IMPORTANT INFORMATION

If you are certain that you will be leaving this September, try and book for TB Certificate now. It is issued by the International Office of Migration in Lagos or Abuja. You will need an Xray at the office on your appointment day (and possibly a sputum culture - someone mentioned they asked for this. I didn't do this).

I want to share with you a trick to get an early date in June/July for your TB Certificate. While booking online, in the online form, choose Canada or New Zealand. There is less rush to Canada and dates are more available. Once you get to your appointment, you are given a fresh form to fill. Ensure you fill for UK. A member of this group did this successfully and got his TB Certificate today!

⚠️Ensure you pay the full amount for UK which is N57,800 and fill for UK your appointment day. The online form gets you an appointment and let's you in the gate.

Good luck as you prepare.

This is for one of my ward actually. But yes, she was given a £1,000 discount. They did not give the discount until i had paid deposit and she did pre-cas interview.

From experience, the discount wont be applied until your CAS letter is issued. But make sure you chase them for it.

How was is d initial deposit for this school?

If they are yet to give you an offer, contact international admission via email, call them, contact their Nigerian country rep. You need to send MULTIPLE emails and calls.
