Hello everyone,

Thanks for the Finland route you guys mentioned.

Turkey embassy in Nigeria still has available appointment date for June for anyone still interested.

Question: What is the minimum amount for bank statement in Naira for estonian visa and how many months Bank Statement should be made available?

Thanks in anticipation of a quick response.

Hi,
Firstly, I congratulate you on ur admission. I'll quickly answer some of your questions cos I followed Turkey route last year when I was going to Estonia.

If you are able to get appointment in June, I must say you are very lucky. Book it and get.your supporting docs meanwhile there are some docs u will upload in the process of booking the online appointment.

For the statement, I used hubby as my sponsor and we had over 2m in his acct, the statement showed salary inflow on monthly basis and it was for the period of 6months. I bought Aiico insurance for the period of two weeks. Booked flight to n fro (I used Turkish Airline), booked hostel accommodation too with booking dot com.

I was given two weeks.transit visa based on the information I.filled n.docs I.attached when filling d application. I'm not sure the tourist visa but if u have all your docs, let your purpose of journey.be known to the, they will contact the school n.do.the needful.

I'll say over 70% applicants going to Estonia last year got their visa though some got it late due to one delay.or the other.

All d best

oh. You mean I will need to arrive Estonia and sign before payment? That I'll be cool

I'm very much aware that only the school can give u a first hand information but as much as I know, when you get here, you sign a contract with the school on.pmt plans you wanna choose and you must not default

great day brethren. i want to know if tartu university allows for monthly installmental payment of tuition just like Tallin university.

It depends on the agreement you sign with the school when you get here

Please someone should tell us how it goes. Should the offer be accepted or should I wait? I also need information on self funding. Can someone work and pay for tuition in Estonia?

Let me.respond to.your last question. Yes you can work and pay your bills but the best advise I can give you is to come with 2-3months tuition fee if it's a school that accept monthly payment like TLU. This would safe you the threat of being ex-matriculated while you await your trp. Note (I used ex-matriculated because that's the threatening mail they've being sending to people that default paying tuition .

No use ur own purse give advice! People's final pocket dey different.
@YoungMil let quickly do a small financial analysis of wat can happen if u try to look beyond the money! Though not saying it would be easy but I believe you are a smart person.

First let's assume u can raise the 6k to pay your first year and move to Estonia.

Then you hv at least 12 calendar month b4 d next payment.

See break down of your likely cashflow :

6k per year = 500 per month!

Question here: can I work n earn such money while schooling in Estonia

Ans: Yes n No (depends on how much hours you work per day)

So let's assume u can only raise 250 euros per month, den I believe govt bursary of 220 euros still dey ( but I benchmark it to 150 per month given d fact you can only get it for 10 months)

Current savings: 400 euros per month

Now summer work dey (blood money era) u can make some significant money within dis period too

Finally other scholarship dey.

With small support from home ( worst case scenario) u should be fine.

If all d above assumptions holds, I will say make u accept but if not den declining will be something u hv no choice abt

#shalom

Even if nothing happens, you better accept it, look for the money and move on, hopefully your money would be returned to you when you arrive. What do you know that would happen next year? A lot of people that missed last year admission are already exhausted to apply again. I am telling you from experience. Someone was refunded when he arrived 2 years ago. If no changes happen after 10th and you feel you can't proceed, please decline so that someone else will get the place.

Mavince, how far? I think.you tried last year. Any hope this year? Do not relent, you will get there

The guy that got tuition waiver, his tuition fee yearly was 3.5k, if it was same, I would have encouraged you to accept n pay but for 6k yearly, my dear think twice.

When you say certificates, what certificates do I need to present as a Bachelor's student? Primary and secondary?? And please what did you use for notarizing?? A court or notary public?? And the mofa authentication was it done for the notarized docs?

Waec or Neco
Notarized was done in Ikeja. It could be anywhere, both ways carries same stamp.
Legalisation, you don't need it, I made it clear that it was done then as a part of India visa requirements

Is d 6k for a year or for d duration of the programme? If for a year, my dear, its high. You may not be able to meet up cos you wouldn't be happy working and seeing all your earnings go for tuition n other bills.

Be wise in choosing

Did you use a court to notarize your certificates? Or a notary public? Was it the photocopy you notarized? Did you do any authentication for any documents at ministry of foreign affairs?

Yes I notarized photocopy of my certificates.
Yes I authenticated at MOFA, Abuja when I applied thru India in 2016 because it was part of their requirements.

Tallin University of Technology just informed me I cannot be given two admissions at same time.

This morning I got a message from them reminding me that I have not paid my application fee since January. I told them the option to continue my admission process with them closed on Dream Apply after I accepted Euroacademy's offer.

They went to check and told me one candidate can only get one admission, that Euroacademy's offer to me automatically closed my other options.

Really! I never knew though during my application, it was done directly to school. Euroakadeemia was not on DreamApply then. Anyway, lets hope for d best.

Congratulations

Congratulations.
I'll like to comment on d scholarship stuff. I had a guy I met in Turkey last year, a TTU student too, though he was hoping to get scholarship too but he didn't get as at the time he was given admission.

He paid the tuition fee but fortunately for him, on getting to Turkey, he got a mail that he has been given a tuition waiver and his money was refunded.

I'll suggest you continue praying you get it cos 6k euro is much my dear but if otherwise, kindly follow your dream. You would definitely get the money though may require hardwork. I think the only difficult thing is d first pmt which is lik 3.5k euro or thereabout.

Once again, congratulations

Thanks.. At the point of writing this I have been conditionally accepted by Tallinn.... Going to send my docs today.... It won't be easy on me coming back to Nigeria after I get my esti visa in Israel which I intend using as my route... I had hopes of telling a relative in esti to write me a letter which I will show to the embassy stating that he will be responsible for me before my Trp comes out.. I hope this can convince the consular to give me entry into esti in May or June when I will be traveling Please tell me what you think....

No dear, you don't have to be in a rush. Be working to save money. You can join the June/July Batch. You are not expected to be in Estonia before August. Consular will postdate your visa cos they are already aware of the sch resumption date.

I acknowledge everyone who has contributed to this forum, this is my first time here. I got to know about Estonia a couple of weeks back. I applied for MSc Computer Science and Software Engineering in University of Tartu last week and received positive feedback for both courses today. I am counting on securing full scholarship from the University given the info I found on their course pages.

The mail I received says results will be announced latest May 15. My question to my bosses here is majorly concerning the Visa as it seems to be the greatest hurdle from what I have read so far on previous threads. Please, I need someone to authoritatively (if possible)

1. confirm which is the best route of applying for Visa
2. give a rough estimate of how much it will cost to apply for the Visa through this route
3. give an overall advice on what I should do next before May 15

I have a BSc in Computer Science with a 4.71/5.00 CGPA.

I will really appreciate your responses.

From my experience last year, I went through Turkey, we all know Turkish embassy is located in Abuja and you need to stay for a week. I was able to get a cheap hotel and visa fee then was around 90k plus, though someone can pick your passport for you with authorisation letter.

Turkey gave me 14days transit visa and Turkish ticket was 550k then, accommodation in turkey for 7days was 120euro breakfast inclusive (Hostel). Then transport to n fro embassy (twice) submission n collection days, cant remember but should be les than 20euro.

Feeding in turkey, I ate bread and yoghurt all the time cos their food were strange to me. Feeding cost depends on you.

Overstaying cost, I overstayed in Turkey cos my visa was already 7days before I left Nigeria, so I paid their border police at the point of exit, sorry can't remember the amount.

Ticket to Estonia from Turkey was like 400euro (can't remember) though u can get cheap ones to Helsinki then from there, you will board a ship to Estonia.

All I spent was closed to 1m cos I missed my flight in Turkey and had to spend over 30hrs at the airport with extra fee but there's another route lately where you get the visa at your comfort zone. It's a group thing and all that is required is your passport data page, your admission letter and 50% down pmt. Note that you have nothing to loose, you will get refund if it's d other way round.

This is my question about this miles, currently I work for the govt, but I intend to quit when I get the admission... But because of the uncertainty in the routes to getting to esti I haven't started the resignation process, just incase I didn't make it to esti.. You understand!! So I intend stating in my Trp application that I don't work.. Because I feel that if I state that I work, I might just be asked to get a letter from my work place stating that they know about my education which might be had to get because the study time is 3years,thats too long a time to stay away from work... So my question now is how can I apply for the tax doc... Won't my name show as a staff in the tax doc I will obtain? Or can apply for the tax exemption?

Get a tax exemption letter. Have you been given admission? Do.u have your admission letter? If yes, you can travel with the batch going this April, then come bck to Nigeria, continue your work and resign when you are set to go. Mind you, your Estonia visa would be postdated to August, that's when you will travel and by the time you get here, you TRP shd be ready

Swisscare refunds your medical bill to you. So you need to pay the bill first then apply for refund. Refund can take more than 3 months.

That's why I said longer process. 3months is kinda too long to wait for refund
