Frankly i don't care, all i know is that Dangote is the richest, nicky can keep his de beers or whatever. Aliko Dangote is wealthier than he is. Period

Msauza: . That's a propaganda.

Nahh it isn't... This is forbes. Just face facts, dangote is worth $12b, nicky is worth $6.5b. Dangote is the richest man in Africa and the richest black man alive. #nuffsaid

Msauza: . A white men considers you a family of the primates and would rather leave you to trade with cement, flour, sugar and salt and instead would gun for oil, diamonds, gold, manganese, iron ore, platinum, etc. My friend, unfortunately you are not from SA and you would have come to the understanding of how expensive are diamonds. Diamonds in South Africa sells like cakes and a 4ct black diamond can buy you 10 000 bags of cement and still build you a mansion. Just imagine if you have ten of those diamonds. Cars, aeroplanes and cellphones are made from a metal that is being mined in SA. Did you ever ask yourself why white SA TIGER BRAND bought Dangote,s flour mills and did you ever ask yourself how much are they worth? Don't underestimate natural resources, it is where the God's given wealth is hidden and a white man would do anything to dissuade you from participating in that business.

And with all the natural resources (diamond and all) , he is barely worth half of Dangote's fortune... How nice smiley
Business / Re: Aliko Dangote Still On Top Of Forbes Africa Rich List by Godogwu: 9:42pm On Nov 21, 2012
Msauza: . This is a scam by the west. I still do not believe that Aliko Dangote tops the list of africa's richest men. In the past a lot has been said about africa agenda of promoting the interests of white people, especially those based in south africa. Not long ago Nicky Oppenheimer was the richest and even doubled Aliko Dangote's wealth. Nicky is the chair and owner of DE BEERS (Diamonds Mining Company) estimated @ the net worth over $38 Billion and ever since Forbes was influenced by African politics they offloaded the inclusion of DE BEERS properties in Nicky's assets. In media Dangote is put on the map and in reality it tells the different story. Do not be fooled by anything that has been written on Forbes magazine, well, it gives light in some way, but is not reliable. The stats on this magazine can be hugely distorted and interfered with by politics, especially of the western to fool a black people that africa's economy is in their hands and not that of the western who are based in africa, looting our natural resources. Forbes is in the mission of diverting our focus away from reality by means of propaganda. Dangote's face is being used as a front by the Forbes, tell me how will it ever happen on earth that this noble man, whose profit is mainly generated from cement and flour (which is now sold to SA white owned food company TIGER BRANDS) overtake Nicky in just a year and half and even went on further to double his wealth in just two years. Something does not add up, in fact, something is fishy here. All this happened after the former ANCYL president Julius Malema started pushing for NATIONALISATION OF MINES in south africa and AFRICAN AGENDA that the following year statistics of Forbes changed dramatically. Is this a move by Forbes to shut us up and stop us from asking rhetorical questions about the wealth of white people in africa, particularly SA, who are making fortune in mining Gold, Diamonds and Platinum.

Politics / Re: Shouldn't Every Nigerian Be Entitled To A Monthly Allowance? by Godogwu: 5:30pm On Nov 17, 2012
Some people just want everything free in this life, some don't even want to work for anything. First of all, giving every citizen an allowance is practically impossible at this time. Then again, a lot of people would get greedy; forge names and identities so they can collect as much as 5 or 10 times what is speculated for them. A lot of the youths would get lazy because they know at the end of the month they'll get 10 thousand and some will eventually complain that 10 thousand is too small and request for 50 or 100 thousand. Its not the responsibility of the government to make life better for any citizen, it is their responsibility to help even the odds and create opportunities to push the youths and adults to go out there and make something for themselves. I believe that's why a whole lot of the American youths are lazy, especially the ones from poor homes. They know that no matter what happens they are entitled to food stamps, welfare and all that so theres basically no need to work. That is a country where you can educate yourself to any level without paying a dime till you start working officially, still there are very broke people there. Frankly, I wouldn't support a movement to give an allowance to people until Nigeria is ready for that, until they can account for the percentage who need it and those who might just want to rip-off the government.

who is misleading who? have u been watching international media lately? and the only thing u see on CNN, BBC, NBC, CNBC, skynews are wonderful greece, beautiful spain, prosperous italy, debt free U.S, happy ireland or bankrupt china. I guess some people sit on their t.v and watch the couch. that you felt the grass is greener on the other side and jumped the fence without proper enlightenment is not the western fault, stop looking for whom blame.
in new york there a big electronic time clock on display that records the ever mounting american national debt, they show it regularly on cnn and foxnews. oyinbo people talk about their problems and ways to resolve it, lets learn to do the same.

First of all, I practically live in Nigeria...just school here. Secondly, you make it sound like the average African cares about the electronic clock displaying the national debt, they basically care about the skyscrapers, 24/7 electricity and all.... A lot believe the whole America or Europe looks like manhattan, Beverly Hills, and all other places like that. I don't know where you are dragging this argument to but my point is that, there has been a great load of trash that has been portrayed about Africa and yes a few of those things exist, like who the hell lives on trees these days, who doesn't have a phone in Nigeria?, I don't even want to go deep but you get my point... A lot are fooled, and again I can't diss Nigeria, not atall....I can't even imagine living here.....nahh, Naij is home.

Mckybarf: if it isnt blame, then what is it then?! Arnt you blaming for bad reportage? If you did the right thing, wouldnt they have reported.

Yes, theres a whole lot of false docterin about Nigeria and Africa as a whole. Isnt it funny how they portray the west so goddam beautiful and mislead a lot of Nigerians to go use their last dime to go there and most times they end up suffering because they cant even afford a ticket back to naij. If you live abroad or ever get to travel abroad US, UK, etc..... Just ask any average person what they feel nigeria, egypt or even SA looks like, they'll tell you we live on trees and all other sorts of rubbish. I'm an undergrad studying im US so i know this, ive been asked dumb questions like; how did you get here?, do you guys have planes in nigeria?, do you live in a hut?, do you guys have phones?, do you guys have cars in africa? And a massive load of crap like that. Yes Nigeria has problems, i cant defend that... But so does every other country and i keep saying this; no one should compare Nigeria to any first world country, thats just being stupid. As it is now, no African country has been considered a "first world" country by the media ( west), even SA with all its "beauty" and sort is not. Finally, i cannot...i repeat cannot and will never diss my country just cause there are problems.... Nahh i can't smiley

mrrock: Those of you claiming the U.S is 100 years older than Nigeria therefore the reason they are doing better, I have some questions for you.
1. How come the president of Nigeria earns more than U.S president?.
2. Is it the U.S government that's allocating fat salaries to our presidency, senate, legislatures??.
3. Is it the U.S government that's unable to provide electricity for Nigerians?
4. Is it the U.S that created Boko Haram?.
5. Is it the U.S government that created Niger delta militants?.
6. Is it the U.S government that have refused to build our refineries?.
7. Is it the U.S that is stealing subsidy money from Nigeria?.
8. Is it the U.S that's responsible for rigging elections in Nigeria?.
Name them...................

So many Nigerians are mentally sick just as our leaders. Otherwise, there's no way you would blame the U.S for Nigerias problems.
Nigerias problems were created here in Nigeria by Nigerians. Without accepting this ugly reality and doing something about it we cannot move forward.

Nitwit! No one is blamming the US government. People are just saying dont compare Nigeria with the US simple .

take dat: No Nation is perfect i agree but you see concerted efforts for improvement in a determined country, Rwanda and Botswana are two good examples in Africa. That the US gained independence a hundred years before ours does not mean we shouldnt aspire to be like them afterall our President earns more than Obama, our governors own private jets.

yes, our president earns more than Obama so he should be able to fix all bad roads, perfect the education system, increase the minimum wage to N50,000, get us 24/7 light... in fact turn Nigeria into a first world country within 4 years yea?... and yes our "governors" own private jets and to you they are "clueless", because its easy getting a country that was completely broken with corruption by its past military and democratic leaders... and turning it into a transparent & even society is a piece of cake.... and you seemingly have all the answers to Nigeria's problems at the back of your palm....Lets give you two months as the president of the federal republic and Nigeria will look like the any country in Europe or America.

Inasmuch as you have some point, it is important as well to make sure that the playground is levelled for everyone . . . if the important things are not provided as the basis for what they have to build, what else do they have?
Some might wanna start a business, no bank to loan them, no money, and no light to power any machine, ordinary call center will have to get a generator to power a shop where they make peanut . . . and on their way home, no guarantee they will reach home with the little they have made, and yet we wanna blame the people?

Yes, the playground isn't leveled for everyone but that's the same thing in every part of the world, some try to level it up a bit but there are still cases here and there. A loan you say?, if you have the collateral then why not....you don't expect to walk into a bank and saw a few words and they drop N100m for you without having an assurance that they can get their money back. In the US you need a good " credit" to do virtually everything, like!..people live on credit here it's crazy. Generator you say?, you make it seem like you don't pay huge electricity bills in the first world countries with 24/7 light. Again, you make it seem like everyone knows how their day would end from the start.... I might just drop dead as I'm typing or on my way back from my intern job, I could have been crushed by a drunk truck driver, please don't make it sound so bad, yes there is unemployment and yes there will always be unemployment, what matters is reducing the percentage of the unemployed.

How? Please explain
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: ‘60% Of Nigerian Graduates Are Unemployed’ by Godogwu: 5:15pm On Nov 15, 2012
Well it's easy for people to blame the government for not providing enough jobs but frankly crime is not the only thing to turn to. There are so many factors involved in the unemployment of the nigerian youths. First of all, a handful of them are lazy and are not willing to go through any sort of struggle; they believe that since they have graduated a job should be waiting for them.....err it's not that easy. Secondly, some of them want to start of earning huge salaries and their fore turn down any job that doesn't meet their expectation, eventually they'll go back and the position is already taken.... Well I believe the FG and the private sectors need to work hand in hand to create space for employment for the fresh graduates. A high percent of unemployed fresh graduates is a problem in almost every society and country of the world. The level of unemployed new graduates in the US is about 53%,.....this goes to show that whoever wants to get employed needs to go beyond the "normal".

fm7070: dabossman: Though I do not support the use of private jets by pastors and politicians, I dare to say that most of us are just as guilty as the folks we are pointing fingers at. Only in varying proportions.

You pay 2 million naira and above as rent p.a in Lekki/Ajah when you can pay 800k in Gbagada or 400k in Egbeda. That's an extra 1.2 million you could have used to help the needy.

You buy an SUV or saloon car at 3 million naira and above when you can get a clean tokunbo at about 1million. That's 2million naira you could have used to grade that your bad and bumpy street instead of waiting for government. Your community would be grateful.

You pay 11k monthly for DSTV Premium so you can watch premiership football when there is DSTV Family at 3k and Access at 1.5k. That extra 8-10k can feed a poor family for a month.

You wear designer clothes when there are cheaper options, go to the movies every week, spend 20k monthly flying okada when you can take a bus and you think its not a luxury? Ask those who can't afford any of these.

We can all afford to give more to charitable causes than the 1k, 5k, 10k or 100k we give now if we scale down on some of these "luxuries", but we all love a little more comfort. Aren't we all just as "guilty?"

most people on this forum kicked against this ideology. But it is fact of life. Whole truth and nothing but the truth.
Nigeria and world at large will never be better unless we revisit this ideology above
those who live for themselves will dieeee by themselves.
Politician, pastors, civil servants are always thinking about themselves. The child of that poor neighbour of yours you refused to assist with school fees will end up being the armed robber that will scatter the skul of your children with bullets
The children of those poor church members you separated from your children will end up being the ones used by terrorist to scatter the congregation

Are you f u c k i n g kidding me? , like did you listen to yourself?...... So what do i work for?, myself or the community?... No doubt you have good intentions but everyone has their own life to live. Some struggled to get wherever they are today, some were lazy and ended up being less privileged....
