I think people that refer to their towns as villages haven't any real contact with their hometowns.

What will they now call villages?

agadez007:
don't know where you from but where I am from we don't call our town village,Alor is a Town which hosts 6 villages

E.g-
Okebunoye is a village In Alor town
get it?

These are towns not villages.

Each town is comprised of several villages.

For instance, Ogbunike is a town in Anambra State, with six villages. I find it absurd when we interchange towns with villages.

Very interesting topic. It's a shame a lot of folks are trying so hard to derail it.

Please, allow us enjoy the topic. Take your arguments and quarrels somewhere else. Please!

I have spent several hours today reading through the threads (starting from thread number 1).

I wrote IELTS with my spouse on 1st December, 2018.

To be honest, we barely put in any preparation. Both of us work in the banking sector (5 years each).

We scored (LRWS)7.5,7.5,6.0,7.5 and 6.0,6.5,7.0,8.0 respectively. That's a band of 7 in both cases. Not good enough.

She has an uncompleted M.A program in English at Unizik because of work and the un-ending come today come tomorrow from Unizik lecturers.

I have a B. Tech in Physics \Electronics from same school. I also have CCNA certification.

We will have to re-take the exam with serious preparation. Maybe give it two months.

I am also thinking of going for an M.SC but I've always had a disdain for Nigerian schools because of the delays they put you through and the obvious lack of time due to my job. I even work weekends twice in a month!

Has anyone obtained an online MBA within a year here before?

I would really appreciate any tips/suggestions from the house. Thank you!

PS: I'm 34 and she's 33.
