So as the new policies have been implemented, what’s our fate after Our 2 years post graduate visa? Are employers even willing to pay that salary threshold for sponsorship ? Hmmm

A friend of mine got admission in Northumbria university, Newcastle. but the funny thing is she hasn’t received an official offer letter yet or the next step to take. She doesn’t know the initial deposit deadline and all those stuff. She only got a mail telling her that she has been offered admission which she has accepted on her applicant portal.

Below is my dialogue with the border officer at the POE.

Officer collects my passport and scans, my information pops up on his screen.
Each time I give him an answer, he looks up to his screen to confirm.

Officer: what’s your purpose of coming to the Uk
Me: For study sir

Officer: Name of school

I answered

Officer: course of study

I answered

How much is my school fees, how much I’ve deposited ?

I answered both questions confidently

Officer: When is my enrollment deadline?

Me: on the 16 of October

Officer: You only have 4 days to your enrollment deadline

Me: yes sir

Officer: who will sponsor my study
Me: I will sponsor myself

Officer: you have a relative in the uk
Me: yes sir, I have a sister in London

Officer: will you stay with her during your study period?
Me: No sir, I’ll be putting up with a friend in Newcastle until I get my Accomodation sorted out.
He then advised me to go and collect my BRP before 10 days of my arrival.

Wished me goodluck and welcomed me to UK with a stamp on my passport!

Tip: Be confident, answer smartly and correctly.
I also went with me all my necessary documents in hardcopy, an up to date POF just in case.

I thank almighty God for a successful journey. Now na Newcastle cold I dey deal with.

Good morning to everyone who can see this post, I need every valid contribution I can get I’ve been a silent follower since January … I did my biometrics for student visa no dependent on the 22nd of September 2023, paid for priority, got an empty nsf mail on the 26th of sept ( no additional information has been requested till date), made a paid call on the 6th of October and was told my application is awaiting a decision and will receive an email when a decision has been made. I am yet to receive an email, my application is stuck at application received by DMC and my resumption date is on the 23rd, I need every valid contributions I can get and will be grateful for it thank you all 🙏🏼

Does having 2 weeks and few days gap between passport collection and traveling a bad thing? The person beat the school resumption deadline with 4 days.

My enquiry is, will the person be questioned about the delay in resumption at the POE?

You have to provide exactly what you uploaded not a different transcript

Also, the scanned transcripts meant it was already in hard copy right? Why are you printing the uploaded copy when you probably have the original hard copy version?

The thing is , I never got hold of the transcripts, it was sent directly to my email.

So this my friend is telling me I can’t print it to be in hard copy because that wasn’t the form my alumni released it to me.

Meaning if I should go ahead and print it, it will no longer be authentic. As per converting the soft copy to hard copy.Hence, If I need it in hardcopy, I have to get another one in hardcopy form from my alumni.

Please, the transcripts I scanned to school for my application, and was given admission with. Won’t it be the same transcripts I will print and show them in school for physical registration?

My friend is telling me that I have to go back to my alumni and pay for a different transcripts (hardcopy form) which is the one that uk school will ask of during registration and not that soft copy I initially used. The whole is confusing me.
Now he is charging me 60k to help me facilitate the process of getting me my hard copy transcripts.

Abeg advice me, Is it not the same transcripts I used to get my admission I’ll just print and submit during main registration??
