Good day all,
Please on the document checklist provided by cic for me, there wae no police character report. Is the police character report mandatory? Secondly how do i go about getting it in lagos?

It's advisable you include it, for it is better they don't need it and see it, than for them to need it and don't see it.

Police reports are gotten from the CID HQ in Alagbon, Lagos. They need your fingerprints, so you need to be there in person.

thanks. Will I able able to complete the biometrics in one day..? As in. Any long queues?? Or delays of that sort?

One cannot say. Depending on the number of application at that time.

My advise is to go there as early as you can so that you can get a tag number. If possible, be the one to open their office...lol

But its something one can do in a single day. Give or take, 2hours.

Like I said earlier, depending on the volume of application for that day.

Weldon my fellow brothers and sisters. please i need your candid advice.
I'v studied at NIIT(National Institute of Information
Technology), Ibadan study center. I
have completed a two years course of study
leading to the award of
PROFESSIONAL DIPLOMA IN INFORMATION
TECHNOLOGY / DNIIT (Network
Engineering) The program is mapped to
ADVANCED WINDOWS SERVER
ADMINISTRATOR. Having been completed the
program and i have good grades in my WAEC
result. normally, middlesex university in Mauritius,UK and Dubai are offering NIIT a year top up to get BSc in Business Information System(BIS). But my point is i wish to do that cause i don't want to come back to Nigeria to start looking for job opportunities as it is not easy to get. I have applied to George Brown diploma on 28th January and they sent me Student ID but they are yet to give me offer of admission and that's making everything stagnant for me now. please gurus in the house, what should I do, which one do u think is the best? God bless u all.

Nice to see an NIIT Alumni.

Guess you stopped at Q8 to get the DNIIT.

1. What School and course are you going for?
2. When did you apply?
3. When did you finish program at NIIT?

Process simple...you will apply online through applyalbera an pay app fee....after that, you create student profile with the student id assign to you.

What program do you intend going for?

N.B: Not an easy school to get into and seats gets filled up almost immediately.

Find your way to Lasuth in Ikeja. Close to Coinoil and close to under bridge. You will see people around the area even asking you if you wana do affidavit or notarize.

Hi guys...i have come again o...i hope my questn doesnt come on as ridiculous..ok..here it goes...i intend to apply via paper route
i would b submitting photocopies of some original docs.
1.If I want to get them notarised, must it be done by a notary public? cant a commissioner of oaths at a high court do it?
2.would d notarisation b on d same photocopy doc or on another sheet of paper?
3. Either around.yaba, lagos or warri, delta. pls can anyone give me a description to a nearby place where i can notarise these photocopy docs for a cheap rate?how much?tnks

Three things

1. Notary Public.
2. Make a photocopy (I advise colored) of all the documents you want to notarize. Carry the photocopies and get them notarized.
3. I only know of people who help to do it at Ikeja.

N.B: You don't have to submit any original documents (apart from your SOA I think). The essence of the notarized documents is to authenticate the photocopies I.e showing that there is an original somewhere.

Letter of support means school will write to the CIC confirming your admission and some kind introduction letter. It will help booster your application

I am just wondering how many schools would be willing to give out that letter. They will be like, the admission letter they gave to you confirms your admission and all that.

Some schools can be strong-headed ehn...

Dear All,

If my sponsor is my father, and does not have an international passport, what other identity is okay for me to use as prove of identity?. Will his driver's license be enough?....The reason why I ask is because, I see most people using data page of their sponsor as an identity.

Kindly advise.

Under tuition fees, just tuition fees. Other fees excluding room and board should come under "others".
You may shoot yourself by putting other fees under tuition, because for sufficient funds, you must show at least your tuition fee + 10k (living expenses for a year, which should include ur accommodation, feeding, insurance, student levies, transport etc). So that's gonna raise your tuition fees higher than normal, and would also mean double payment (so to speak).

Thanks for the response

But please, will this be okay:

Tuition: 15kCAD
Room & Board: 10kCAD
Other: 1KCAD
Total: 26KCAD

I just don't wana give room for errors and to do over sabi because some VO's might want one to calculate both tuition and mandatory fees together. So, I was hoping if I can calculate everything and put there and also drop something for "Other".

Seiraries just answered this.. Just scroll a bit up... No offence meant bro [ author=Godymn post=41085949]Dear All,
Please, I want to confirm something. When declaring tuition fees in the documents to be filled, is it that we put only tuition fees or we add up other mandatory to get the fees for one year.
For example,
Tuition fees = 13970CAD (2 Semester)
Mandatory fees include
U-Pass = 120CAD
Health & Dental = 162CAD
Athletics = 70CAD ...etc
The total fees, will it be 13970 (approx. 14kCAD) or 14322 (including the mandatory fees)
What is your advise on this please?
***Appreciate***

I know, I saw that ...but your not getting the point. My point is will I add the mandatory fees plus the tuition fees to get the total fees or its just the tuition fees I will work with. Remember, we also need 10,000CAD extra. So, I want to just confirm if the mandatory fees can fall under the extra 10,000CAD

Goodday good ppl, I apply on the 15th of October through paper route, medicals done on 9th of November. Since then no response. I kept tracking my passport status on online, the response is always - your passport is been processed at the Canadian embassy, Accra.I'm a bit worried as my school resume jan11, 2016. What can I do pls?

The best I can say is still take chill pills. You never can tell, lets see what happens before the end of this week. By Monday, if you don't receive anything, you can send a mail (case enquiry I think) to them to get an update about your app.

Hope for the best man!
