Thank you for your response.

Good morning Everyone.

Please share with me the Whatsapp group link for those searching for a close date (July to October 2023) for another interview at the US Embassy at Abuja.

I have been searching for a close date and it is not forthcoming.

My family and I were denied visas in April due to having no home ties.

I intend to apply alone this time around, and I have filled out and submitted a new DS-160 form, and bought a new visa application (MRV). If I should choose an available date for the interview since there are no more close dates and my school resumes in August, will I be considered for an expedited date? I know whenever I chat with the visa application desk through the feedback section, they always reply but this time they just said I should go ahead and pick a date without assuring me of a close date.

Please note, I made use of an emergency date in April for the first visa application.

Thank you

Check twice daily. Morning and afternoon. Pick a date if you haven't done it already then change when you get a closer one.

Kindly click on "NO" as you don't have a visa which expires in last 24 months

Your ties to Nigeria matter to them most. Every applicant is seen as an intending japa person, which is mostly the case but the onus is on you to prove them wrong with your home ties...things they feel would discourage you from staying back, should they give you visa. They cherish family, business, employment...including but not limited to anything that can contribute to your country's growth and development.

Your purpose of visit is another factor which they do consider.

Travel history isn't a prerequisite for US visa. If you like, go to UK several times and back. If your ties are not convincing enough, they may turn down your application. Different strokes for different folks. In as much as some countries see travel history as a major factor, US doesn't.

Please I need help.
After my first interview with my family for an F1 and F2 visa, I want to reapply again. This time only me, then my family will join me later on.
While I am trying to re-apply, the page attached appeared and I dont know what to click ("Did your Visa Expire in the last 24 months?"wink

Please any advice? Thank you

60 days to the resumption date on your I-20 use your docs to apply for expedited and you'll be granted. My friend did at about 88 days and he was still granted but the rule is 60 days.

Thank you. I have been able to apply for interview.

My resumption date is close so I applied for expedited/emergency interview date, but my request was rejected through an email yesterday.

Can I go ahaed and request again?

Please advise me on how best to go about this.

Also has anyone noticed that their website is down or maybe I am not clicking the right link.

If you have paid your SEVIS fee from cgifederal portal, you can apply for Emergency Request.

Please I have similar situation.

Is it within 60 days or before it is 60 days?

Example, if my resumption date is 8th May 2023, and today is already 13th May 2023. This means that I have less than 60 days to my resumption (56 days precisely).

Can I still apply for expedited visa interview? Thank you.

Your last name is your Surname and first name is the first on your birth certificate.
I don't want to say the one you're using cos most use their middle name

Thank you! I appreciate

Please, I have created a profile and has also selected a date for Embassy interview.

However, the date of my expected resumption is in 2nd week of May 2023, while the earliest available date for Embassy interview is on 6th of November 2023.

I was advised by a friend to seek for expedited interview application. Please how do I access the form/link? Do I need to download the form from any of the Embassy site or speak to them to get it?
I wanted to know the next path to take to get an interview date late March or Early April 2023 considering the school's resumption date.

Thank you.

I believe someone has answered you on how to fill in your names. FYI: The last name is your surname.
If you are having issues creating an account on cgifederal, it seems you already have an account to your name. You can mail the embassy support team if the error keeps popping up to help you create one.

support-nigeria@ustraveldocs.com
Attach the error message and ask them to help you create an account.

SHALLOM!!!

Remain blessed! Thank you

Are you fully funded?
Why are you going with your husband and 2 kids as dependents?
How much is your cost of attendance?
What home ties do you have in Naija since everyone in your family is traveling?
What’s your banking statement/investment looking like in Naija?

Thank you so much for your advice.

Please I want to ask how I should write my names while applying on the US VISA portal, to secure an interview date.

What does Firstname and Lastname mean?

I saw an ERROR message. They kept requesting that I feel it the way it is written in my passport. What do I do?

Meanwhile can I use a different email address than the one I used in filling for DS 160? It was rejected

Please can I print the DS 160, I-20 FORM and SIVES FORM in black and white copy, or it has to be in coloured? Thank you

It depends on how you can take advantage of your highlights and use it to gain an edge in your application. Are you self-sponsored or using a sponsor? The answer to this might work against you because the VO might see it as a financial burden on your sponsor but if you can convince them why you need the Master you are fine.

But work on why you went for your first Master and try to defend its relationship or why you NEED the second Master. Did you use the first Master's to work and what was the outcome is something you have to answer and try to add to your drive for this second Master's degree?!

If you can convince yourself beyond any reasonable doubt, you will be able to scale through your interview.

They might even see it as you have the juice and a bona fide student.

Thank you so much for your advice.

Send the school your bank statement of account.
It's a normal process for the school to verify if you have the funds to finance your studies before issuing you the I-20.

Good day everyone.
Thank you for your support and commitment to ensure everyone scales through.

Please I have a masters degree in Occupational Health and Safety.

1. Is it right to fill that in my DS 160 form? I am applying for F1 visa (with my husband and children as F2 dependents) to go to the USA for a 2nd Masters in Public health.

2. How would I defend this at the Embassy in case I am asked during the interview.

Thank you.

Dont listen to roadside agents..they only know about B1/B2 processes not F1. If you’re fully funded, dont worry about your salary. Good luck
