Nigerian sports journalist, Oma Akatugba has stated that the new song by Davido titled “Blow My Mind” featuring Chris Brown really showed he is way below the US singer’s league.

The song which dropped free weeks ago has received mixed reactions from Nigerians who felt both singers do not match.

Adding his opinion to the criticism the song has received, Oma Akatugba stated that Chris Brown brought a clear difference the moment his verse on the song came on.

He tweeted:

“I just watched “blow my mind” video by Davido and Chris brown. The moment Chris brown entered, you just know the difference. Shoe really get size ooo”.

One of his followers attributed Chris Brown’s superiority on the song to Davido’s cracked voice.

“Maybe na because David voice is cracked by nature while Chris own na direct opposite of that”.

However, one follower commended Davido for being able to remain relevant despite coming from a rich home.

On August 17, 2019, Nigerian singer, Wizkid teased a new single, ‘Ride It’ which featured Ty Dolla Sign.

A few days after having only 6.9 million monthly listeners on Spotify, the Nigerian singer has soared in numbers to hit eight million monthly listeners on the platform.

By so doing, Wizkid became the first African to achieve the feat. The previous record was held by Congolese rapper and singer, Maitre Gims. He had seven million monthly listeners.

This comes after good numbers off ‘Dis Love’ by DJ Spinall also featuring Tiwa Savage. A few days ago, the singer also featured on ‘Like,’ a new single by British-Ghanaian rapper and singer, Kojo Funds.

Chioma, the girlfriend to DMW boss, Davido, has debunked the reports that she is pregnant and will be putting to bed soon.

The girlfriend of the multi-award singer who is also called Chef Chi has been reported several times to be expecting a son in September.

Controversial journalist Kemi Olunloyo who is fond of making predictions had through social media stated that the kitchen queen will be giving birth soon.

In the prediction which she posted via Instagram, she called on Davido to make plans for proper wedding arrangements, so it could be official.

After then, a picture began to trend online which showed Chioma in a pregnancy bump.

Reacting to the news, the reported expectant mother laughed it off as she said she said the picture circulating was photoshopped from her friend’s body.

She wrote, “Y’all really photoshopped my face into my friends body.”

Davido took to social media to write a touching message to his hypeman, Special Spesh, who is celebrating his birthday today.

According to Davido, Special Spesh who is his cousin is actually a brother to him due to the way he stood up for him right from the days he was still an upcoming artistes.

Sharing how Special Spesh did everything possible to link him up with the who is who in the music industry,

Ehi Ogbebor fired back at her critics after being told that she ‘married twice and failed twice’ over an Instagram post she shared.

This comes after the hotelier posted that househelps are one of the reasons people are not usually nice as they end up being ungrateful.

A follower with the handle @Johnandrews1bb who commented on her post, pointed out that just like there are good people and bad people, there are also wonderful househelps and bad ones.

He added that Ehi Ogbebor married twice and failed twice because she talks too much and lack humility.

He wrote “You are wrong. Just like there are good people and bad people there are also wonderful house helps and bad ones. You talks too much and lacks humility. This is why you married twice and failed twice”

Reacting to the claim made, the mother of three lashed out at those quick to put the blame on the woman while ignoring the man who may not be a good partner.

Admitting that her marriage failed twice, Ehi Ogbebor further affirmed that she didn’t fail because marital crisis is always bound to happen.

She also wondered why the woman is not cut some slack even when she struggles for upkeep of her children after the marriage ends.

Ubi Franklin recently enjoys calling out folks who criticise his posts and lifestyle, and he did just that when Alexx Ekubo called him out on Instagram.

The drama started after the music boss reacted to Obiwanne Okeke’s arrest. He wrote; “Stop allowing motivational speaker drive you into a place of delusion and intense confusion. Not everyone will be an entrepreneur,”.

Ekubo replied, reminding Ubi of his frequent ‘inspirational’ posts. “Na you gon gon be the pilot of the flight. Awon inspire to desire, to perspire,” said the actor.

This ticked Ubi off and he went on a long rant, dismissing Ekubo’s comment as “disgusting.”

The Nigeria army personnel killed in an ambush launched by Boko Haram insurgents in Jakana village along the Maiduguri-Damaturu highway, have been buried.

The late military officers buried on Friday August 16 were identified as Colonel Kenneth Elemele, Lance Corporal Dimos Daniel, Oguntuase Ayo, Ajijola Sunday and Private (PTE) Akinola Ayoola. They were buried at the military cemetery of the 7 Division Maimalari Cantonment in a ceremony attended by their Next of Kins and family members.

Six military personnel died in the July 17 attack, however it was learnt that a soldier and a Captain have already been buried according to Islamic rites.

Omawumi has opened up on why she would not leave her husband even if he cheats on her with another lady.

Omawumi opened up to Mercy Johnson-Okojie on why she won’t leave her husband because of a cheating error during episode 4 of ‘Mercy’s Menu’ kitchen talk show.

When asked if she would prefer if her in-laws tell her about her cheating spouse or educate her partner, she explained emphatically, “They have to educate him about cheating, because if they tell me, I will kill him.”

The host, Mercy Johnson-Okojie corroborated Omawumi’s take saying if she catches her husband cheating, she would rather talk about it with him and get the woman out of their lives.

Continuing, Omawumi said, “No, never (there’s any possibility of leaving my house because of the one cheating error). I can’t leave because of that one error. It’s not a good way to do these things but you know, I call my husband my partner, it’s a partnership, na two of us na hin dey inside (we are both in the relationship together). So, what you would not want me to do to you, don’t do it to me. It’s not feminism, it’s very simple mathematics.

I didn’t say it’s equal partnership because my husband is the head of my home and it’s not feminism but when you go and cheat, and you say it’s by mistake, did you fall inside by mistake? But he needs to explain to me, do you want to do it again? Those are the questions we would discuss and then he will pay a penalty under punishment like say you aren’t visiting home front again because you have gone to visit outside. It has never happened to me before, I and my husband are not saints but we are just blessed and you don’t know a man to the end,” she said.

The music star further stated about cheating “It’s not that I deliberately go out to be mean but you will not want me to cheat on you, so why would you cheat on me and are you going to cheat on me again? Because if you cheat on me again, you can be sure that I will cheat on you”.

Omawumi, who has been married for four years, also revealed to Mercy Johnson Okojie that she had issues with communicating with her husband in the past and she has since then learned how to overcome it.

The singer and actress also hinted that she won’t be having any more children anytime soon.

Award-winning singer, Davido and his girlfriend, Chioma appear to be at rifts with the singer’s babymama, Sophia Momodu.

The jeweler and reality TV show host also revealed that the 30BG championship ring has a total of 696 diamonds on it and is ridiculous.

He went further to tell Davido that the ring has a full 10 carat on it and it has inscriptions of 30BG, OBO, 1992 and Nigeria on it.

Davido, a regular caller at the luxury shop, promised to make remembrance pieces for his late mum and friend cum ex-DJ, Olu Abiodun.

Paying for the ring, Davido gave a sum of $120,000 to Zaheer at the shop while one of his aides transferred the balance of $30,000 to the company.

The excited singer went ahead to warn the jeweler not to copy or make the same kind of ring for anybody so that it remains unique.

A year-one student of the Department of Petrochemical in the Faculty of Engineering at the Niger Delta University simply identified as Obinna, has been shot and killed by a Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) personnel.

The incident happened at Efeke-Ama area of Amassoma community, Southern Ijaw Local Council Area of Bayelsa State, at about 10:30 pm on Saturday.

It was gathered the yet-to-be-identified NSCDC personnel is part of security details attached to a politician and chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Confirming the incident via a telephone interview, Mr. Indoni Ingezi, Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the institution, said the shot that killed the deceased was an accidental discharge.

“Yes, I can confirm the incident but it was off-campus where a security detail miss fired during a political event.”

However, the suspect (officer) has been allegedly arrested by operatives of the Amassoma Police division while the investigations are ongoing.

Efforts to reach the State Police Public Relations Officer, Asinim Butswat, proved abortive at the time of filing this report.
