Hi everyone,

Travelling in a few weeks and wondering if anyone could share tips on how package foodstuffs like dried fish and palm oil. Can I carry along ghana-must-go bag?

Thanks

Hope not too late.
Don't use Ghana must go, they almost embarrass you at the airport when you use it. Check all your foodstuff into luggages and scatter them amongst clothes.
Freeze your palm oil, wrap with towels, carry at least 2 bottles in 2 different luggages, if they see 1, then the second may likely pass thru.
During scanning at the entrance, immediately they flag your bag for liquid, don't even let them open it and search, just quickly tell them it's oil and plead, they may allow you with some begging. But this will distract them so that the second bag with oil will pass. Either way it is a win-win.
In Europe no scanning of luggages unless you carrying a lot of luggages and are suspected by customs when leaving thru. Exit.
All the best.

in my opinion, u have to be sure what exactly u want to do.
u seem very young wit no much info, i will advise u first research the schools u want to apply to in europe, go online and check their websites, they all give their requirements.
if they require u to write an english exam, then u can go ahead and check out the english exam that the school requires. this u can check online e.g ielts. then register and do the exam. the price varies for each exam, i think about 35,000 naira or more for ielts. pls go online and confirm.
also note that some schools may say your waec is enough to proof your english proficiency, but u have to check very well.
if u have problem understanding the things online, u can ask a university undergraduate or a graduate who is used to tertiary school system to explain things to u and also guide u.
remeber u have to first gain admission into a school and fulfil other visa requiremenets before thinking of applying for a student visa e.g, pay school fees, secure accomdation, get a sponsor, insurance etc.
good luck.
Education / Re: The Notorious Ekosodin Village Uniben by goldpurity: 11:15am On May 06, 2015
Entered Uniben in 2002, stayed in hall 2, in 2003 wen i was to move off campus, everyone discouraged me from choosing Ekosodin. i still went ahead and got me a fine and new hostel HEXAGON along edo street, close to the bus stop branching off to your right as though heading to the primary school. between 2007 and 2009, shuttled between medical hostel, Osasogie and Ekosodin. i spent 7 years in that great school and i can proudly say my time there was worth it. of all the places i lived, i still choose Ekosodin as best to experience school life to the fullest.
as for my experience, i had a robbery attack once in my hostel in Ekosodin when the thieves came into my room but didnt take a dime. aside that, it was fun all thru with the lack of light, hustling for water, visiting friends in other zones, going to campus for classes, fellowship and mostly late night reading........ i could write a book on that.
i miss all of that. 6years later and reading this thread about my alma mater brings back memories, some sad (i know a medical student who was killed there may his soul rip) but mostly good ones.
i hope things are better now cos the last time i was there, i saw some beautiful structures.
anyone who lived in Hexagon hostel or close by between 2003-2009 please send me a private message lets catch up on old times.
GREATEST UNIBEN

I forgot to mention that the proud products of the great school are doing well a lot more compared to other schools both home and abroad.
Those upcoming scholars shouldnt hesitate to choose Uniben and work hard towards gaining admission as that school is a good citadel of learning with recognition.
