Please I just started the process. Do I need an agent to apply? Agent asking for 700,000. I don't have such. What are the first steps? And does myself and hubby need to evaluate out results? I have a master s degree. He has a bachelor s (3rd class)
please don't use any agent to avoid stories that touch, the money can be used productively for other important stuff in your Canadian dream journey. Just read, read and read. Start from page1

Good morning people.

I made a mistake while simulating my CRS. it was giving 472 until someone showed me my mistake. I recalculated and it gave me 429. I was so devastated.
My problem now is with the 472 mindset, I registered ices evaluation and I have paid but yet to send any documents.
Please, I want to know how I can get my money back.
I want to stay down while I look for a way to increase my CRS.
Thank you
there are no refunds

It is well. I noticed a lot has changed on this thread, people getting rude about info, people getting really heady. I really think everyone of us here has been through a cloudy stage at one time or the other and need support. Sometimes page 1 isn't really clear about some questions, if u have an answer to such question, kindly respond and if you don't feel like responding please just ignore. The time used to respond in a rude way is better used giving a timely response. I thought this was a support group
Anyway, in other news....any one with a contact in OAU registry postgraduate school should kindly respond. Thank u

Please guys, I really need guidance on ECA. I intend starting the process with hubby as soon as possible. We also want to use ICES since it is faster. Can someone who has done their ECA with unilag postgraduate and University of Ife postgraduate school help with the requirement? I will really appreciate it.
Please don't ignore this post biko

Trust me, you can write and learn French in few months if you put your mind to it. My cousin did same to earn more points and he is Canada now.

Try Alliance Francaise. When I called, they said they have a class starting on the 17th of september.
Weekday Classes : Mon - Fri : 9am -1:40pm...Sat classes start by 9:30am
They actually have 6levels and it takes 6 weeks to complete a level.
Level 1 costs = 50k
Level 2 costs = 50k
Level 3 costs = 56k etc.
The good thing is you don't have to do all the levels..you can do 2 levels or 3 then write TEF since you need to make CLB4 to get the golden points you desire (I am assuming IELTS is your first language exam). You could also get a private tutor from them but you would be paying 5k per hour. If you decide to use Alliance Francaise, ensure you visit them with your ATM card to make payments via POS and 3 passport photographs.

You could also try Lextorah at Yaba.
Tuition is 68k
They offer TEF exam preparation courses...according to them you will be given certain practice examinations at least 3times before you write TEF

Search google for Lepointdufle - for practice questions
Download Duolingo and Hellotalk and practice with them.

If you do this, you will be fine.

this info is speaking to me. Thanks sis

Oh my! I have been missing in serious action. So much to catch up on. Thinking of writing the French exams but I am not the principal applicant. I don't speak French but want to learn it

GRACE FOUND ME
I will worship Him forever, Love Him forever, This God is too good oo (Nathaniel Bassey)

I discovered this family after I had already submitted my application......

This journey started in earnest December 2017. FAMILY OF 4
Got the magic IELTS score April 21 sitting LSWR. 8.5,7.5,7,8.5. Updated my profile May 13th, CRS 466.

ITA... MAY 23RD
AOR.....JULY 3RD
MEP/IP1.....JULY 18TH
IP2.......... AUGUST 7TH
PPR..... AUGUST 9TH

Before I submitted my application, I told God that my case MUST be different. What took others 6months will take me maximum 6 weeks( He even exceeded my expectations) cos my rent expires in September.
I stood on Jeremiah 1:11- 12 (I see a speedy ppr, and He will hasten His word and perform it.) & Luke 18:27...(my desire is possible with God)..... Focused on praying for God's kingdom alone while believing...Matt 6:33..
Pardon my sermon cheesy.....but JESUS IS LORD

POF:- I used a notarized copy of deed of sale agreement only, bank statement and reference letter. An LOE explaining one of the huge payment into my account......

WORK EXPERIENCE.....just used a general "to whom it may concern" reference letter from company not in "cic format". No payslip or any other document.

Lessons Learned...
1. FAITH WORKS!!
2. Make ur application as simple as possible
3. Your application is different.

GRACE FOUND ME!!

Pardon any typo.
wow congrats sir! I tap into your testimony. Grace will surely find me too IJN.amen

Congrats to everyone who got PPR, may God continue to bless you.
Please anyone who has done IQAS with unilag postgraduate should kindly share procedure. I have read and read and read and I am yet to understand the whole process. Is Wes a better option or ICES?

I read through waec site now, I learnt WES could do the evaluation online, but they would need to buy scratch card and or make some little payment far less than over 20k to spend sending the certificate directly. In fact, the online verification contains DOB or whatever they want to check. I'm sending them the link now for their knd perusal, or what do we call it again. angry

lol...please update on this will be much appreciated. My brain has been dancing all sorts of azonto on this ECA issue of a thing

You obviously didnt calculate your scores well. He's 35, has Masters and experience. He will get around 425 (that if he max. out his LRWS) and if you evaluate your own MSC and write IELTS, you will contibute max. 30 points to him. With that, you guyz are good to get ITA straight-up.

Please cross-check with the link below

thank you

To be on a good standing for ITA with the recent draws, you will need to have above 440. What's your age if I may ask? If without you adding ECA and IELTS is 358, if you add both, it will not give you up to 400 and you need above 400 for ITA. Although if you get 400 @least, PNP can be an option.

Lastly, whats the age of your spouse? Share more info and lets see if you calculated your CRS well. Cheers.
i am 34, he is 35. Thank you for pointing this out, I really needed the answer to the right points to make.
I am seriously reconsidering and going forward with ECA then ielts, from the responses in have gotten so far, it will put us in good standing

You sure you filled out the CRS calculator properly.
Your masters should put you in a good enough spot with 8777 for your ielts.
yes, my masters really put me in a good spot when I used it to calculate. I think I did fill it well, but I am new to all these, I just might be wrong

OK, nobody should bite me here o, but let me get really real here
I need advise
So hubby and I are starting out with our applications, family of four.
Obviously funds for all the documentations etc for both of us is a little challenging
We are both masters holders
He has more work experience, I have here and there....nothing important work experience
Mock CR's score on our last count without me doing ECA and ielts is 358 so we decided he does the ECA and ielts alone.
Question is: is 358 good enough to get us ITA?

My son went to WAEC to get his certificate sent to WES. I think we spent almost 25k. The instruction to do this is at the entrance to the receptionist office at WAEC yaba. Or just speak with the receptionist. Opposite WAEC office, you need to do an affidavit, the court people are there, for a fee with your passport photo. You have to pay 10k to the WAEC finance office and buy 2 envelops that will be addressed to WES with your Ref no printed on top(Very impprtant). Then you need to pay I think N9 500 for courier to Canada. Once you submit this to the WAEC office. They will sort your certificate and send. If you a copy you can bring along to help ease the search. Once WAEC does its part, UPS will pick up and you will get a message with a tracking number to know when it will arrive Canada. Then you can log on to your WES platform and check update. Note that WES will srnd a letter to WAEC to verify. Once they receive WAEC response, I believe then do the needful. You can track this. Once you hear a letter has been sent to WAEC. Pray that they respond early. All the best
wow...quite a sum
