Health / Re: Anyone Trying IVF/IUI/ICSI (Fertility Treatments)? by GucciOluwa: 8:49pm On Aug 02, 2016

I and my two friends had our IVF done there earlier in the year. In the beginning they were nice o(the nurses sha). The doctor is only nice on ur first visit. On other visits, he just comes into the lab when the nurses have dressed you and prepped you for the tvs. Most times he's on the phone with God knows who while calling out your follicle size to the nurses and that's it o. You wee go and he'll see other people(doctor wey no gree make we start with IUI as we initially planned, simply becos the money no plenty).

Fast forward to the ET day, when it's time you'll say how many eggs get transferred to you without consultation o, nothing on the risks, chances of survival or things like that OYO is your name if Google is not your bestfriend. After the transfer(which doesn't take time becos una go plenty. We were abt 10 or more sef on my day, my friend had a two day embie transferred simply becos she wld have been the only one on the 3rd day), you rest and they give you a form abi letter telling you to call them after your PT, if it's positive, they rejoice. If it's negative, the don't pick your call EVER AGAIN!

Mine and another person's was bfn and the fishes forgot to freeze my eggs, dunno if they sold it or forgot becos I think they were certain it will work.

One person got a bfb but went to urinate at 14wks and Sth fell out and my ppl that was it o. She called and told them about it, they asked her to come to once her period came not to consult or find out what could have happened but for another cycle.

Oh and the drugs they give you will last for just 3weeks after that, you buy the rest.

Well this is just my own experience and of course that of my friend.

God's grace people!

LadyGuinivere:

Narrow your search to a state
Search for hospitals.
Email them. The patient co-ordinator will get back to you. All the back and forth between you guys is correspondence. That can be used for visa application. You can also get an appointment.
If the Virginia/ maryland area is ok you can check
1. Shady grove- they have many branches
2.Inova
You can pm me. I think I still have the business card of one co ordinator like that

Lady G, gurreven. Biko I pm'ed you. Will be in Atl next month and I wouldn't mind seeing a gynae just to check up. Thankio

A quick information, any body booking united or delta airline between july5th and july 25th 2016 should quickly check travelstart, just saw a very cheap flight there this morning at 183,832 naira and 244,552 naira respectively. both are return tickets.

Odiegwu. Attempt to fill in details and pay and the price will double. I called United airline today and they only accept dollars to their GTB dom account. Please if anyone succeeds tho' let me know

My colleague mentioned that effective today most int'l airlines won't be accepting payments to their naira accounts because of the loss it poses. Dunno if that's the reason cos last week, we were able to book on hold tho' we eventually opted for Qatar.
And no, I'm not preggy yet, still hopeful smiley. Serzly reading and taking notes for the d day.

I just had a Mc. We are so devastated. All our plans, hopes, dreams, everything gone. Our only hope is on God. May God keep you all and your unborn babies safe until the time appointed. Amen

Good evening house. I have followed this thread for a very long time. I got a b1/b2 visa last year (Oct. 2015) was supposed to travel in Nov but hubby was promoted and we couldn't travel. Right now I'm pregnant and will like to give birth in the US. Pregnancy was just confirmed so I'll be due in Nov. or so. Some friends think I should travel before I am due (like in June or August), Then travel again when I'm due to avoid being sent back. I really don't know what to do. Please help a sister.
