What you state here is wrong, it's your opinion tho, but claiming that yahoo boys have raised there family out of poverty thereby putting the families of their victims in that same poverty is very bad.

I agree. All Yahoo Boys/Girls care about is money to give them more. How long does that last? The girls only marry them for the money and and boys want to be seen as kings and gods and even have kids that they can't support without stealing and scamming. They don't care whose life they destroy, making the victims try and commit suicide, making the victims live in poverty worse then how they live and then having the victims lose the trust and love of their families. Yahoo Boys/Girls don't care about anything but money. They don't even care about themselves. Once the money runs out, what do they have? They try to go back to their victims and scam them more..... They don't care about their family or kids, they only care about money. How would they feel if it happened to their Mother, Father, Sister, Wife or even themselves? What if it happen and killed their kids? HOW WOULD THEY FEEL!! These yahoo boys don't even care about their own family and they are having relationships or just having fun with other girls, leaving their so called wives at home waiting for them to return and the wives don't even care that their husbands are with other girls because all the wives want is the money that their husbands scam and lie for.

STOP GLORIFING AND PROTECTING THEM

Notorious Nigerian Fraudster Transferred To USA Over Alleged $148,000 Scam

A wire fraud suspect, Adedunmola Gbadegesin was on Monday April 26, 2022, extradited to the United States where he is wanted in a case of conspiracy to commit wire fraud and money laundering.

The offences contravene Title 18, US Code, Section 1349 and 1956 (h) and carries a maximum jail term of 20 years.

His extradition was coordinated by the EFCC, following a request from the office of the Attorney General of the Federation, pursuant to a February 11, 2022 Order by Justice D.E Osiagor of the Federal High Court, Lagos, in Suit No. FHC/L/CS/765/21, which granted a request to extradite the suspect to the United States to answer to criminal charges bordering on romance scam, wire fraud and money laundering.

There are lots of men who go about promising women marriage and collecting money from those women.

While some of the women would not hesitate to give out money to any man who is willing to marry them,

some of these men have turned it into a means of making quick money.

But the truth is that if someone loves you and really wants to marry you,

he/she will not even think of you giving him/her money.

Collecting money from you will be the last thing in his or her mind.

That is never true because all scammers think of is money and destroying a life of someone that they made believe in them and believe in love

Nothing special about them ,

They are thieves

They are nothing but thieves and fools. They lie for what? People are afraid of them and I don't understand why. They think that they are kings and queens, but what do they have in the long run?

Three years of him saying that he does not have a wife or kid. Three years of a ROMANCE SCAM saying it was for us, and it was all for them. They have a heart of black oil and a soul of tar. The will take from anyone they can and will never stop...

PEOPLE, DONT BE AFRAID OF THEM. THEY ARE NOTHING BUT FOOLS AND ARE NOT TO BE FEARED. PEOPLE, DO THE RIGHT THING AND REPORT THEM

You might help somebody reading this with your own experience.

I was a victim of a ROMANCE SCAM and it lasted 4 years and I was scammed out of $25,000. He pretended to love, pretended to do tourist visas, pretended to be at the airport and met me, pretended to marriage. He is married with a kid and he lied about that for 4 years. Every time I accused him of having someone he said that I was the CRAZY ONE and JEALOUS. They put me living on the streets for months, they have me owing people because I had no way of supporting myself after they took everything from me. I have thousands of texts and voice messages of all his lies. The only truth he ever told me was his name.... Even after me finding out the truth he still insisted that he loved me and wanted to be with me. He would say that he was sorry, but it was nothing but more of his lies. He said that he wanted to RUN because he didn't want his wife which was more of his lies, and then even said THAT HIS FAMILY DIDN'T CARE THAT HE WAS A SCAMMER. He said that he needed money for food, for paperwork, for apartment so he would be able to spend time with me. He wouldn't even take the time to show me what the place looked like not would he ever use it to talk to me there let alone hold Video Calls with me there. Even this year he begged me to go to Nigeria because he said he wanted to show me how much he loved me and wanted to be with me.....MORE LIES. The only reason I kept contact with him after finding out EVERY LIE HE EVER TOLD was because it was to build up more and more of the LIES would tell.

With all the money they had stolen from me, they have a big house, a expensive car, she has diamonds, she wears expensive clothes, and throwing elaborate parties to show off the money that neither of them can show they made legally. But he always would tell me that EVERYTHING I WAS DOING AND SENDING MONEY FOR WAS TO BUILD A LIFE FOR US AND THAT HE WOULD GIVE IT BACK AND MAKE IT A BETTER LIFE FOR US ONCE WE WERE TOGETHER. They didn't even care that I tried to commit suicide over what they did to me. They took everything from me and left me with paying back everything. They are even using my pictures that I sent to him and all the information he knows about me and scamming others, putting more in debt and still trying to ruin my life.

All LIES of a SCAMMER who the only TRUTH that came out of his mouth was his name and the PICTURES he sent to me.

They ruined my life and I will never be able to trust or believe anyone EVER AGAIN.

Crime / Re: U.S. Court Jails Nigerian For $2.5m Romance Scam by guestgiz: 2:38am On Sep 13, 2021
Abel7777:
A United States court in the Northern District of Oklahoma on Friday sentenced a Nigerian, Afeez Adebara, to four years in prison.

Adebara bagged the jail term for managing a group of money launderers in an online romance scam that defrauded multiple victims, including elderly individuals across the U.S., and caused losses of at least $2.5 million.

According to a statement by the U.S. Department of Justice, he pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit money laundering on November 3, 2020.

Court documents and testimony revealed that between 2017 and November 2019, the 36-year-old and his co-conspirators knowingly concealed the proceeds of a romance scam operation by moving money between and among multiple bank accounts that were opened under various aliases, using fake passports and other fraudulent identification documents to obscure the source of the funds and the identities of his accomplices.

He was said to have taken further steps to conceal the source of the funds, took a commission for himself, and sent the remainder of the funds back to the online romance scammers in Nigeria, including in the form of vehicles and vehicle parts.

“Adebara coordinated with overseas co-conspirators who had assumed false identities on online dating websites and social media platforms to defraud victims,” said the statement. “Adebara opened multiple accounts using fraudulent identities, then provided the account and routing numbers to the overseas co-conspirators. The overseas co-conspirators told victims that they were U.S. residents working or traveling abroad.

“As the online relationships continued, the overseas co-conspirators requested increasingly larger sums of money, with the claimed purpose that the funds were needed to complete business projects or for them to return to the United States.

“The victims were directed by the overseas co-conspirators to send funds to certain bank accounts, with an assurance that the money would purportedly be allocated as needed.”

Assistant Attorney General Kenneth A. Polite Jr. of the Justice Department’s Criminal Division, Acting U.S. Attorney Clinton J. Johnson for the Northern District of Oklahoma, and Special Agent in Charge Melissa Godbold of the FBI-Oklahoma City Field Office made the announcement.

FBI’s Field Office in Oklahoma City conducted the investigation with assistance from the agency’s San Francisco, Los Angeles, and New York Field Offices.

Trial Attorneys Babasijibomi Moore of the Criminal Division’s Fraud Section and Assistant U.S. Attorney Christopher Nassar of the Northern District of Oklahoma prosecuted the case.

“This case is part of an ongoing national effort by the Department of Justice to address online fraud schemes, including those based out of Nigeria, that target U.S. citizens and residents,” the statement added.

Why is it that people feel to hurt and destroy someone just for money? Why steal from someone just because you want to have a better life?

Crime / Re: Lies (myths) "Yahoo Boys" Want You To Believe And Nigerians Believe by guestgiz: 6:14pm On Sep 04, 2021
HardMirror:
by Yahoo boys, i mean the Nigerian Internet Fruadsters.

1. MYTH: The are very intelligent
Fact : Most of them have average or low IQ

It is popular accepted that "yahoo boys" are very smart, so much so that people would say, "why dont they use their intelligence for better things?" the truth of the matter is these guys are not as smart as you imagine. Most of them are actually less intelligent than entrepreneurs and working class people who have to be innovative, book smart and street smart to make it.
What people dont know is that Yahoo boys only follow what they call a "FORMAT" meaning everything is already laid out, somebody intelligent comes up with this format and he teaches others. There are different Formats, Romance, Alibaba, Credit Card Loading, tax return, car wrap, Come-and-carry, etc. you dont have to be smart to follow any of these formats. Hushpuppy is a proof of how unintelligent even successful Yahoo boys are. he was using his direct (personal) line and personal email address to communicate with his clients and associates with lots of incriminating materials in his personal email and personal phone line. without these, the FBI would not be able to prove he was a fraudster.
so stop respecting these guys, they are not intelligent.

2. MYTH : They can hack
Truth : 99.9% of them dont know anything about hacking
To be considered an hacker, you must actually know how front and backend program interfaces work, then be able to exploit weaknesses, bugs or loopholes in how the program is scripted. This means you must be able to understand programming languages, able to access source codes, able to build tools "executable files" that would compromise target scripts. Trust me all these boys shouting "hacking" up and down your street cannot even write a "Hello World" script in any program. in fact most of them dont even know what i mean by "hello world" because they know NOTHING about how computers or computer programs work, talkless of being able to hack.
most times you read news about some local boys hacking bank systems etc, it is all rubbish. for them to gain access to your credit card or bank information, they use basic tricks to actually steal the information from you through "social engineering" - calling you and asking you questions pretending to be from the bank or just getting basic information about you such as your Date of birth, place of birth, your schooling information and they can use these to "recover" your accounts. Dont be afraid, they cannot hack anything, they are posers and only rely on your carelessness to steal your account information.

NOTE: there are hackers, but these guys are very rare. they are 1 in 10,000 fraudsters you will meet.

3. MYTH : They are successful because of JUJU "Yahoo Plus"
Truth : the Juju is psychological
Most Nigerians already believe that boys claiming to be into yahoo are actually into JUJU. this is a big lie they want you to believe. There is no Yahoo boy that gets a kobo without "working" for it. Yahoo Plus or Not all boys have to hustle to make the money. they have to lie, they have to bomb, they have to follow up. Juju only gives them moral. It is true that most successful ones are into juju, but not because the juju makes them successful, it is because it takes a desperate and highly motivated person to go into juju. They are into Juju (yahoo plus) because they are desperate, highly motivated and focused on their Yahoo career, because of these they are more successful than the other boys that are just freelancing and not so desperate, hence people are mislead to think they are successful because of the JUJU.
Secondly, JUJU is a fraternity thing for Yahoo Boys. if you are in a fraternity, you are more likely to pull big scams because you know your guys would not betray you because they fear the JUJU bond between them. if you have a picker for example that is not in your fraternity, it is likely he would run away with your money, hence the juju part comes to play for the big time scammers.

here is an article by the Guardian Newspaper titled Ritual does not give us money, Yahoo Plus boys confess https://guardian.ng/features/ritual-does-not-give-us-money-yahoo-plus-boys-confess/

4. MYTH : Only greedy people fall for their scams
TRUTH : Majority fall because they are trusting and not because they are greedy
while it is true that greed can make people fall for cheap scams, truth me; majority of victims were not victims because of greed, but because of trust. when you are a trustworthy person, you tend to trust other people easily and this makes you vulnerable to exploitation and that is what these boys do. they exploit people who trust them. Stop mocking people who are victims of scams, because most times it shows they are good people who trust easily.

5. MYTH : Only gullible people fall for their scams
TRUTH : Everyone is gullible, experience is what most victims lack.
i mean it, EVERY DAMN PERSON ON EARTH CAN BE SCAMMED. i have an uncle who is a lawyer, he would boast that no body can every scam him, yet he is one of the most scammed person i have ever met in my life. this man gets scammed by everyone around him. he was scammed so much that his mechanic made him spend over N1.3 million to repair a fault that would have cost him only N120k to fix. His electrician collected over N200k to just fix his meter (nothing was wrong with the meter). There is no human that has ever lived that cannot be scammed, that you know how some scammers work, does not mean you know everything, you only know what your experience or experience of other people teaches you, when something new comes up, that fits your fancy or need, you will fall for the scam
I was scammed for 4 years and he had shown his true self. Said he was never married (LIE), said he had no child (LIE), said he loved me (LIE), said he wanted to die old with me (LIE), said he wanted to build a life with me (LIE), said he was going to take vacation with me (LIE), said he wanted to be a father to my kid (LIE), told my kid he loved them (LIE). EVERYTHING THAT CAME OUT OF HIS MOUTH WAS A LIE. The only truth that came out of his mouth was his name

Him and his wife are big time ROMANCE SCAMMERS and has built a life for them... CARS, HOUSES, AND NOW A BUSINESS. Business with crap that was paid for by all the money they stole and scammed.
