Fela Anikulapo Kuti - This man here needs no introduction,without him there would be no Afro beat. From his instrumentals to lyrics ,fashion style have all been sampled ,used and will still be copied by future generations.
Most of the top acts can attest to him being the messiah of Afro beats.

Wizkid - From the emergence of his first album (superstar) most young individuals that were venturing into music wanted to sound and act like him . His Distinctive and Original style made him stand out. He approached music in a way people didn't see coming, from his international features and awards won ,wizkid will always be a maestro in the music industry. Till this day people mistake other Artiste for him because they want to sound like him so bad .He's a genius.

Phyno - Before phyno there was Mr Raw , Mc Loph,illbliss and the likes but with Phyno the whole thing changed ,he didn't only raise the bar for Igbo music ,he took it from one spot to a higher level. His versatility still stands unmatched ,from trap to highlife ,Amapianio to Afro beats .phyno impact in the Nigerian industry can't be overlooked.

Wande Coal - When you listen to fireboy's peru , you would understand the Wande coal effect . Being in the game for more than 10 years is no joke .He has been an inspiration to most singers in the industry from Davido to wizkid, they testify how much his sound has influenced them one way or the other .Nobody truly be like wande.

Dagrin - We had various yoruba rappers before him but when he stepped in the game changed in a major way . He made indeginous music sound Global from the way it used to sound .If you do your research well you will know his style is still in most rappers and 80% of yoruba rappers have used few of his lines in their music .Most of his songs are evergreen and that makes him a leader till this day .

VERSATILITY: Apart from the fact that we inherited and made Afro beat Global ,we no how to own other genre's and blend them to ours e.g Amapiano is originally South African but we know how to blend it with our language and add some of our instruments. I haven't heard a Ghanaian do Amapianio /house Music

TOURING : For your Music or sound to go beyond boarders,you need to do a physical tour round cities,states and countries for them to even know you exist before they start giving listening ears For instance In Nigeria alone if you are In Port Harcourt(omah lay), you would have to go to cities like Lagos in the West ,Kano in the North and Benue in the Middlebelt for your Music and brand to really spread,asides the digital platforms the tour makes core areas that aren't digitally reachable know your music


COLLABORATIONS : Burna boy didn't win a grammy because he's from Nigeria, he won because he collaborated with different artists round the world who have even won the grammy ,the likes of cold play , Anglia kidjo and some producers .

RECORD LABEL. It's not by getting any sponsor to sign you then dropping tracks,are you affiliating with the Global ones e.g SONY , ATLANTIC and the likes ,if you are not then you will always be a local champion, your song might do well for a bit but it definitely needs the international Distribution backing.

So Ghanaians(shatta wale), it's not rocket science, that's why you have the likes of Sarks,Diamond platinumz, Nasty C ,Dj maphorisa ,Giyake and a few collaborating, touring with other artiste not just Nigerian artist . If you feel you want to be like JAMAICA then that's old not it cos even the popcaan's ,kofee, movadoo had to do these things and left their comfort zone .
