Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Nigeria Breweries Ability Test For Trainee Shift Manager Packaging by habapalapa: 10:03am On Dec 02, 2014
Not more than 2000 people for both packaging mgr trainee and trainee brewer, in my opinion. Although, am surprised that we all had the same questions...or did we? And 90 questions away from the usual 50 questions too.

I guess the next stage for successful ones will be assessment/interview. Not sure sha. Maybe they'd like to conclude this recruitment before the end of the year.

These are all assumptions I have in my head sha.

solomon111: As if the ones in power have not done enough harm, washington is now trying to create the next generation of western puppets to ensure the continuous subjugation of the next generation of africa to the will of the west.
Oh,foolish africa!
Who has bewitched you?
We should be learning from china, india and brazil.
Unlike the west,we share a similar background to those three nations.

Bros, I don't understand o. There's no harm in gaining skills and knowledge through available means such as these. Becoming puppet remains an individual decision no matter how he/she is enticed into such.

...If you know any programme like this that China, India or Brazil has for African youths, abeg contribute am here too. smiley

Let's not throw the baby out with the bathwater. Whoever fits the description should try it out.

Hey guys,

Very informative thread so far.

Pls one question though: in the part where it is asked "how much do you expect to take out monthly? I am a bit confused, I intend to write "0" since it is a new business I have no intention of wanting to reap from it till I break even.

Do you think such answer is feasible, for the application?

@habapalapa Just want to ask, is it only sales officer that are being called for test and interview?
I applied for Commercial Relationship Officer but I have not gotten any invite for test nor interview.

I noticed that it is a mix of almost all the positions; commercial relationship officers, sales admin, area sales managers etc.

They may be doing it in batches, given that there's been 3 aptitude tests already.

This is all I know.

dammiecool: @habapalapa

pls give us more info on d competency test.

The time duration is one hour, and it consists of basic sales and marketing questions, a hundred of them.

I can't say it was hard, neither would I say it was easy. If you have a marketing degree or foundation, it may be a walkover.

In my opinion, it was very similar to the function specific section of the aptitude test, the only difference was the fact that we used a computer.

agabee: Yea it takes exactly 2wks afta d test to b invited 4 an intavw n a week afta d intavw for d next stage wich's competence test. Stil hoping to b calld 4 comp test.

@agabee

It actually depends on the invited set.

I was among the first set invited for the aptitude test, (1st or 2nd Nov) and then one week later, we had our interview, and then just last week, we had the computer based competency test at Ikoyi.

The Ikoyi test was a combination of people from the first set and (I guess) the second too, 'cos there were some new faces who said they had their own interview the week before. They may be preparing another list of names from those other sets.

God's grace to all of us.

Just sharing information I got from others, I'm hoping to get more insider gist here;

There was an aptitude test last week saturday at ikeja, and an interview was held for the successful ones this last friday too (8th November). Another aptitude test also took place at ikeja that same friday at a different location.

I was invited for the first test.

Culture / Re: Nigerian (igbo) & African American by habapalapa: 8:57am On Sep 13, 2013
I regret stumbling upon this thread, but I've got to say this before I walk out...it's unfortunate how a simple request for relationship advice has deteriorated into a racist, tribalist SHOW OF SHAME. The MOST SHAMEFUL aspect is that it is perpertuated by so-called HISTORIANS and "knowledgable" folks, ultimately demeaning the souls of all dead AFRICAN slaves and ancestors. Every tribe/group/country possess certain traits, but is that to say all are the SAME. ***shakes head***

Whether your ancestors are Bantu or whatever, you're all AFRICANS! (Look at the mirror for confirmation). The Europeans, Asians et al histories are as diverse as we are, but the difference with regards development remains clear.

It is sad, though, for the African American who seeks a true sense of identity while searching for his/her roots...and then happens to stumble upon a thread like this.....she/he MAY gladly say to himself, "SOME THINGS ARE BETTER LEFT UNKNOWN (unsaid)"

....And then y'all wonder why we Africans aren't taken seriously.

***EXITS THREAD***

Enough said, we are all Nigerians. Stop tribal wars and embrace our future, people.

I don't know why she still keeps the surname.
Romance / Re: Phylicia Rashad: Letter To Her Younger Self by habapalapa: 7:29am On Jul 12, 2013
^ my guy, her advice is as objective as it can be. Personally, I don't know how her life decisions or marriages are a justification of how "wrong" this is.

...As I said before, most women (and some men)will have a thorough understanding of what she's talking about. There's nothing wrong in impacting to the younger generation life lessons that she has learnt while looking/searching for love.

I would come to think that if most women understand perfectly her message, it will save a lot of future heartaches that occur especially in teenage years when young girls are naïve about their emotions and vulnerable to young selfish boys who seek only sexual gratification.

Guy, the woman is SO correct in her words and you know that. smiley

I believe she was talking to her fellow women, not too sure if men can really relate to her words...

Either way, great advice!
