Has nobody noticed this? Police say one of the suspect’s two accomplices is a member of an organization called the B l a c k A x e or the N e o-B l a ck M o v e m e n t of Africa, which has “a violent presence” in Nigerian culture and is suspected of running a massive international fraud and money laundering ring. [...] Police also arrested Akohomen Ighedoise, 41, of Toronto. They allege Ighedoise is a high-ranking member of the B l a c k A x e who was laundering money for the organization and trying to intimidate members of the Nigerian community in the GTA. The B l a c k A x e is a Nigerian fraternity that descended into street gangs ... It’s a very secretive organization involved in street-level violence to fraud,” Det.-Const. Tim Trotter said. “I can’t say their numbers, but they have a presence in Toronto and Vancouver.” Ighedoise is charged with laundering the proceeds of crime, fraud over $5,000 and participating in a criminal organization." Our lovely Nigerian cult and most prized export has now been classified as a criminal organisation in North America. This goes waaaaayyyy beyond one member being arrested. Nigeria has now officially exported a MAFIA. It's just a pity that nothing is done against them here. 1 Like |

This is a typical example of how the totally fu**ed up and lawless Nigerian judiciary system functions (or rather doesn’t). As reported previously in all media and celebrated by the public, hundreds of cultists including a high number of B l a c k A x e aka N e o B l a c k M o v e m e n t members were arrested in May 2015 in an attempt to rid Edo State of cult-related crime. These included several cultist politicians who were previously considered untouchable ( https://najuju./2015/05/15/finally-four-edo-govt-officials-arrested-over-cult-activities/ ). Notorious B l a c k A x e cultists that were unfortunately not arrested, like Tony Kabaka and Oritsebemigho Eyeoyibo, allegedly fled to avoid arrest. Also the National Convention of N B M had been postponed for the same reason. What seemed like a small revolution has now turned into the usual farce that is staged in a failed state ruled by all the wrong people and in which justice does not exist. On June 9, Edo Police Constituted a Special Magistrate Court to Try 215 Suspected Cultists ( http://www.nigeriannewspapers.today/edo-police-constitutes-special-magistrate-court-to-try-215-suspected-cultists/ ). Ever since, nothing was heard again about this trial. And the reason for this is truly scandalous. As we learn now, the arrested high-ranking cultists have been set free in all secrecy. How could this possibly be? Well, it’s Nigeria. So what happened is this: The National Head of B l a c k A x e aka N e o B l a c k M o v e m e n t, Augustus Bemigho-Eyeoyibo mobilized a few other high ranking cultists, who have unfortunately infiltrated absolutely all of Edo State. Specifically he apparently made an “arrangement” with the Attorney General of the State who is also a cultist. Good to know!! But it still gets more shameless and criminal. The charges for murder and cultism were dropped. Being a member of a secret cult (such as N B M) alone is punishable with up to 20 years in Edo. The cultism charge was reduced to a charge of “unlawful association”. So instead of facing the wrath of the law as they were supposed to, they are now hoping for 25 million Naira damages from the police force for “unlawful detention of members of N B M” (which, just as a reminder, is a worldwide mafia and an illegal group in Nigeria). Also as a reminder, the arrested cultists did admit being members, and ample proof is available. As we can see in the posts below, the arrested guys truly ARE cultists from a group that has killed thousands of people and operates a worldwide crime syndicate. But as usual, they will get away with it. It has happened many times before. Various cultist serial killers have been released under “mysterious circumstances”. Because they are rich, and because they have infiltrated positions of power. Whoever is rich has nothing to fear in Nigeria. Bribery gets you everywhere, including out of prison. There is no justice in Nigeria. What a truly failed state!

SuperGrass: Things don't get more outrageous than that. After all they even admitted to be members of this cult and still do (see below). Then they get bribed out by other cultists and act as if arresting them for a criminal offence were "unlawful". That logic is beyond my comprehension. Even today one of those top cultists (Ernest Osa Amadasun) who were arrested and then got bribed out was commenting on an article about the arrest. Complaimimg that "law-abiding" citizens such as himself would get arrested. Well no, cultists are NOT law-abiding as membership in this cult is an offence punishable with up to 20 years according to Nigerian law!!!! What shamelessness!!!

lovat: nope. but it is definitely time we all stand up against this filth or we are surely doomed. |

bonechamberlain: good point. As we all know this doesn't happen though. The cultists like b l a c k a x e actually have some police on their pay roll, and whenever they get arrested they will surely be bribed out by influential cultists. The system truly is a big mess of deception and corruption. |

@ HopeForWarri: Thanks for that comprehensive documentation. I don't think anybody doubts that they are toxic criminal scum. It is probably a lesser known fact though that they are not only killing incessantly in Nigeria but also giving us a bad name around the world. It is infuriating!! They are dealt with in other countries but in Nigeria... they are bribed out over and over again. ![]() ![]() |

Tunde777: I hope he will but frankly speaking I have little hope. He would have to replace the entire governments in the affected states. |

uk9ja: The problem is that they have infiltrated the state up into its highest ranks. Especially in Edo the entire government is massively infiltrated by cultists. It has happened many times before. Serial killers have been released "under mysterious circumstances". We all know what this means: some bigwig paid a nice sum to another bigwig and "settled the matter". Other well-known bigwig cultists have been going about their murderous business for years without having to fear anything. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

tochukwufavour: Exactly. No wonder Nigeria is such a failed state. Everything is lies and deception. Crime is not prosecuted. They might jail a few of the smallboys, but the masterminds behind all the crime won't be touched and it will all be swept under the carpet. AS USUAL ![]() ![]() ![]() |

[b]In May 2015, several high-ranking cultists were arrested in Edo (see article below). Many more were arrested shortly after. It seemed as if finally serious efforts were being made to rid Edo State of this scourge. This sounded like good news indeed. Those arrested ARE cultists. They had admitted it, and other proof has been pubished as well. As such they must be prosecuted for cultism which is punishable with up to 20 years in Edo, even if they are not found guilty of any other crime. Shortly after though nothing more was heard about the trial and its progress. Instead I am hearing rumours that the B l a c k A x e cultists and possibly others have been set free after the intervention of some bigwig (possibly Gov. Oshiomhole himself who is known to sponsor these cultists). This is what usually happens of course. We all know that our legal system is useless and f*** up. We know that there is no justice, and that the rich and powerful can go about any crime with impunity. So I have a few questions here to our Inspector General Police, as well as the lawyers, media, and judges involved (many of course are rhetorical questions...): - can this be confirmed? Which of the suspects have been set free, if any, and why? - why do our media fail to report this scandal if it is true? - if it is true, why does nobody in our legal system expose the truth about what has happened? Doesn't anybody even care about justice in this country? Do it anonymously if you must for security reasons, but DO IT. - why is there apparently no control mechanism in the system to prevent such unlawful interventions behind the scenes? - why is nothing done about this? - was the arrest of hundreds of cultists nothing but another propaganda exercise? - can we EVER expect this system to be cleaned up?
