We should always help a cheat as well as whom is being cheated on.
One way to do this is to strongly advice the cheat to stop what [s]he is doing.
A good friend will take heed and you wouldn't need to expose him/her.

A bad friend will not listen to ur advise and you may need to expose him/her which is very wrong.
And remember that [s]he is a bad friend, so life may also be at stake especially if it's a woman.

To safeguard ur good name and life in such situation u've to unfriend ur so called friend.
Islam for Muslims / Re: Whats Islam Stand On Celebration Of Xmas/new Year by harbiola1(m): 1:39pm On Dec 19, 2013
Amis: Asalamalekum Waramotulia Wabarakat..
Wa Alaykum Salam Wa Rahmotulahi Wabarakatu.

Muslims have only two Eid (Festival) ordained by Allah(swt).

A muslim has or should has nothing to do with neither Christmas, 1/1 or Easter.
Even millions of christians are no longer celebrating these festivals because of there origins.

Linking Tajud to Dec. 31 is uncalled for in a Muslim society.

Tajud that some Mosques are organising on Fridays and Sundays have their own issues aside. And attaching another unIslamic motive to it, i think is a dangerous thing.

Lol, i like ur style.
Emusan:

I'm not but I do know I'm dealing with a slave.

Yeah, God's slave.

Emusan:
The verses are still talking about the Child.
Which child?

Emusan:
Have it in mind that none of the verse(15-16) is referring to the war which God has declared nought!
NIV: "He will eat curds and honey at the time He knows enough to refuse evil and choose good. 16 For before the boy will know enough to refuse evil and choose good, the land whose two kings you dread will be forsaken."
"the land whose two kings you dread will be forsaken."
^^
1. Who was God talking to?
2. Which Lands and why would they be forsaken.

Emusan:
This is a prophecy for house of Judah about trials to come upon Assyria & Ephraim including Judah itself by adding verse 17 shortly after the birth of the Child.
"shortly after the birth of the Child."
Which child?

Emusan:
You don't need to but just get everlasting life in you which is Jesus Christ by believing that He has come and pay the ransom.

Shalom!

In the bible we read:
1. Abraham built an Altar.
2. Hajar saw a well in the dessert.
3. Ishmeal lived in the dessert of Paran.

Where is Abraham's built altal, Hajar's well and Dessert of Paran that Ishmael used to live?

Pls quote the three questions 1 by 1.

Wow wow! Emusan really stands out here on religion section. Others are just seeing and ignoring.
Emusan: Your rudeness is a thing that requires fasting and prayer.

I know what you mean here, but learn how to respect what others revere before admonishing others on the same basis.

Emusan:
Honestly, what you people need is a Bible study teacher right beside you not over internet study. But just let me enlighten your knowledge.

The chapter you're talking about verse 1-16 is devided into three parts.

1) verse 1-9 were talking about a coup planning by the some kings in fighting against king Ahaz or simply Judah. God's message to king Ahaz is very straight forward, in verse 7 God told king Ahaz through Prophet Isaiah that their counsel/plan will never work verse 7: NASB:thus says the Lord God: “It shall not stand nor shall it come to pass.
NIV:Yet this is what the Sovereign Lord says: “‘It will not take place, it will not happen,

So God has said it shall not stand or takes place.

2) Verse 10-12 according to verse 7 God has already told king Ahaz that their plan won't work but for king Ahaz to know that God had spoken and it will come to pass. God said king Ahaz should ask for a sign but king Ahaz as a wise one who knows the sovereignty of God he decided not to doubt nor tempt God.

3) Where you got it wrong is because "sign appear in verse 11& 14. Verse 13-17 is another part. Here the message has been shifted from king Ahaz alone now for the whole house of David, Judah is the houze in which the Messiah will come now these people have been waiting to a point that they are too axcious for the Messiah to come. verse 13 really elaborates the point NASB:Then he said, “Listen now, O house of David! Is it too slight a thing for you to try the patience of men, that you will try the patience of my God as well?
NIV:Then Isaiah said, “Hear now, you house of David! Is it not enough to try the patience of humans? Will you try the patience of my God also?

First, this message is for the whole House of David who are waiting for a Messiah not for king Ahaz only. Then verse 14 declear that God Himself will give them a sign when the Messiah will come.
Only if you can remove the wrong glass you put on then you can it. Then message of the sign of a virgin given birth does not in any way connected with the plan of those kings because God has already spoken that it won't take place.

Beside mind the way you use the word "Holyspirit" for your own good.

And I don't know the essence of open this thread, is it that Jesus was not born by a virgin or you just find the prophecy too hard to comprehend like Muhammad?

Shalom!
You did a good work here, but i hope u don't think that u're dealing with sheep?

Who is chapter 15-16 talking about because u stopped at 14?

You have to address 15 and 16, then i'll remove my cap for you.

SALAM!

@OP, i've given u a better condition which u seem to have ignored only to be displaying ignorance.

In my mind it is self defence because of a little presentable knowledge i've about it. and to u it is nothing but a war mongering on innocent people.
Then fine, bring a FULL VERSE or VERSES without shorten them (e.g 8:65 or 8:65-66) that u want to against, give ur points and whatever, then the onus is on me to disprove it.

You can't get a better offer in court.

And like someone said, U'll only suffer for ur arrogance.

The above clearly show instances that are provocative and not in any way a form of self defence.

Can you bring those verses one by one and let's discuss about it together.
You'll bring ur argument on why u think it is provocative and i'll bring mine supporting the notion that it's self defense.

noblefada:
early disciples & apostles were practising Jews including Paul. Now Paul because of his zeal to preach the gospel to all people including Jews, wanted them to partake in his teaching sections and not offend some of them, made Christians to meet on the first day of the week (Sunday), while himself went to the synagogue on Sabbath day, so the gentile churches who knew little or nothing about the law simply continued that tradition. Shalom.

I've seen this kind of cheap excuse before. You know, many religious sites are not objective so they may not knw how flawed their excuses were. Bible itself disapproves ur excuse.

And on the issue of Saturday and Sunday, i can't argue with anyone over it. But New English Bible established controversy on the two days.

FrancisTony: @MR harbiolar. The termChristmasappeared in Old English as early as 1038 A.D. asCristes Maesse, and later asCristes-messein A.D. 1131. It means "the Mass of Christ." This name was established by the Christian church to disconnect the holiday and its customs from its pagan origins. As one fourth century theologian penned, "We hold this day holy, not like the pagans because of the birth of the sun, but because of Him who made it."
Although it is true that many traditional Christmas customs find their origins in pagan practices, these ancient and forgotten associations are far removed from the hearts of Christian worshipers today at Christmastime. So much so, it seems a pointless concern. If the focus of Christmas is Jesus Christand his gift of eternal life, then what harm can come from such a celebration? Moreover, Christian churches see Christmas as an occasion to spread the good news of the gospel at a time when many unbelievers pause to consider Christ

Dec. 25 was used by Pagans to celebrate their pagan god.
Several pagans' Dec. 25 practices was later retained by Christians to commemorate a person that wasn't borne on Dec. 25.

The Month, Date and Practices has nothing to do with its Pagan origin because christians have hijacked to spread the good news of the gospel at a time when many unbelievers pause to consider Christ.

Mind you, these are the same people that resuscitated Ostara festival with its Pagan practices (e.g Easter egg, Easter bunny, egg hunting...).

Why did they always have interest in Paganism?
