Politics / My Experience At Sterling Bank Ibadan by haul: 3:23pm On May 19, 2016 |
I left my house to cash a cheque at the closest sterling bank in my area which happens to be the apata branch ibadan. well, I got to the gate of the bank and to my surprise I experienced something very shambolic that would pass for racism undertone! I approached the gateman to enter the bank and he said "we didn't open today", I've even forgotten about the strike case around. to my amusement a man of arab ancestry came to the bank and immediately the two gatemen allowed the man in while I look regrettably stupid at the gate while passersby gave me a gaze that can be considered sardonic. I had to leave for gtb bank to pay in, I came back to the same sterling bank to withdraw from their atm machine and I felt like let me even probe further why they didn't allow me, so I asked the two guys, and they said am I still staying outside since that time? I said no but why didn't they allow me? They said because of NLC people that they don't want them to disrupt their activities , I queried them that why then did they allow the arab man into the banking compound? They became dumb! Instantly, I left in annoyance, I'm sure the manager wouldn't know this, and I'm thinking the gatemen don't even understand their act can be considered "racism", to my understanding I think they felt inferior to him and they acted very unprofessional towards me.I wouIdnt have posted this here if they told me they didn't open but the fact they allowed another man inside due to their inferiority complex. I felt stupidly embarrassed. |

Mbediogu: Don't be hasty man. Lagos have good environmental laws in place, When it comes to civility in business SW is second to none, And there are proper nations who have managed oil without distorting their lands, The oil discovered in lagos is offshore which means everything is done on water not land. And don't compare I majority ethnic group who has produce astute politicians and leaders in every stratosphere of the nation that can influence things their way. The numbers don't favor minority group of SS. 9 Likes |

montezz: I'm amused by your profile! Not your picture oooo! I mean the topic you created, it really shows you think wide and high which I appreciate in a woman, keep it up. And first time I'm seeing a woman interested in agriculture, you even created a topic on over-dependence on oil. Most women profile I check are so filled with narcissism. Hope you've got great character too? |

Between you and your friend I don't know who actually needs an advice but I know your friend is you and you are the friend that need an advice. The advice is never marry someone without having that chemistry. I'm sure your friend also have that part where he is ugly which the wife is putting up with out of love. Or you think ugly can only be about the look? Just imagine your wife says she doesn't want you no more and its not cause you're ugly but because you are not as rich as dangote. So please, look beyond her beauty and appreciate her as the mother of your child, if you think this won't work; consider divorce. |
