Religion / Re: Can A New Christian Convert Keep All His 4 Wives Or Send Three Away? by hedonido: 8:45am
Show me the Bible verse or scriptural injunction that discourages polygamy in Christianity.

I don't like it when people smuggle their subjective (and hypocritical) moral preferences into Christianity.

Politics / Re: Herbert Wigwe Estate: Family Distrusts Brother, Uche To Handle Assets by hedonido: 8:42am

Very unlikely. We're talking about a young man (Herbert) who died at the peak of his glory, in his early fifties.

If at all he had a will, I'm sure it was a 'skeletal' one, and I don't think he would go the whole mile of perfecting a proper will with an executor, as if he had death in view.

Lets be real please. Someone like the late Otunba Balogun of FCMB, Okoya and their likes had/have enough time to perfect these things. Not a young man in his prime.

Besides, even if he had a solid will in place (unlikely), I'm sure a significant part of it will be allocated to his first and only son (Chizzy), who also died with him. So what happens to the portion of the estate allocated to his late son? Who will decide how this will be reallocated and to whom?

To make it big in this game (and perhaps in the expanded game of life), you have to be incredibly smart or incredibly 'stupid'. Interpret this any way you like.

Anything in-between is called jonzing, whether you like it or not.

You go cry tire. Did Lagos government invite you from your cursed state to Lagos?

I was born and raised in Yaba, now tell which state capital in Nigeria is better than Yaba? Is the capital of your state of origin which you ran away from better than Surulere?

Retarrded, poverty stricken monkey from God knows which dreary part of Oyo, Ekiti or whatever who has never travelled out of the South West in his miserable lifetime.

Big congratulations to Gen Oluyede.

You disgusting irritants would get what is coming to you, and it will be very loud and colourful.

What the eff is this nonsense in bold? Who asked your bastard thief of a mandate snatcher to appoint an Igbo man as COAS? I thought he 'won' Benue State? I thought he 'won' Rivers State? And Niger State? And other states outside the South West? So nobody from these NON IGBO parts of the country can be Chief of Army Staff?

And you have the audacity to spew the highlighted rubbish?

Don't worry.

You this gay b@stard. You should be happy this is an 'anonymous' online platform, otherwise....

Just look at what you're justifying. If I had a son in that so-called supposedly Christian WhatsApp group, let me catch you teaching him "size and girth" and see whether I would not castrate you alive and feed your rotten prick to dogs.

Then again Alex Mascot didn't need all this clichéd 'do you know who I am' rant. He could have delegated one of his domestic staff to handle the transaction. Directly engaging these frustrated idiots can be a trap.

Was Bolt or other ehailing companies part of the prevailing insecurity problems before? Very stupid people always trying to milk every situation.

Everyone knows that the main problem lies with the 'along along' one chance people and aboki kidnappers prowling across Abuja. Yet you leave those ones to focus on ehailing cars which are already regulated.

This country pisses me off so badly.

Berankis:

Inferiority complex is still messing with your head. The US will strongly jail Nigerians no matter how highly placed if found of any wrong doing to their people or in their country, but an American who has committed money laundering in billions of dollars is being released with any conclusive trial just because he is American and his country is putting pressure on our Government to release (they claim on humanitarian grounds), the same offense they have been trying to extradite Alllen Onyema (Peace Airline) for. The is double standards and it's rubbishing us as a people. This is absolutely rubbish!!! The failure of the Nigerian Government to adequately prosecute this father-fucker is one of the many shame of the disgraceful Governments we have been having in this country. Why didn't the UK release our own Ekweremadu on humanitarian grounds? He is still languishing with his wife in their jail for committing no crime. This is another eternal disgrace to Nigeria but we are all pretending it's none of our business. But it becomes your business alone when you fall into these peoples' hands and they maltreat for being a third world citizen or having African descent.

You people can be so disgusting. Even in your ignorance you will still be loud and arrogant. If Nigeria thought it had any case against Binance as a company, why illegally kidnap and hold hostage a mid level employee of the company? Why not declare the founder and CEO of the company wanted, which is the same thing the US did for the Allen Onyema you talked about.

Must you expose your foolishness all the time?

I know you're senseless, but at least you can mask it be just shutting the Bleep up instead of thinking you must voice out a very obnoxious opinion.

From Ikeja Airport to Festac is a joke, and I find that hard to believe. You asked for a nearby hotel and all the plenty long travel to Festac seemed "near" to you? When there are hundreds of hotels, big and small, in the same Ikeja and adjoining areas around.

nedekid:

I drove past the airport toll gate from ikeja heading towards ajao Estate few days ago. I saw something that brought memories. Infact I gave my driver the gist. What did I see? A check point by the roundabout close to Sahara energy aviation tank farm. The check point was on the side of the road for traffic coming from the international airport side.
My experience was 20/21 years ago, arrived naija from UK, transited through Tripoli. Wify and my infant child. My bro came to pick me along with his driver. We left the airport quite late around 1am if I remember right. We got to a checkpoint just after the local airport. A police man stopped us, looked inside the vehicle and asked about the bags, I explained, even showed our passports. The man told us to bring down our boxes on the road that he wants to examine the contents!. Howwww??. I was like are you serious? He insisted ohh, expecting me paharps settle him, I no gree. I told him at heathrow, tripoly, even in mm1 they did not search my bags, it is not on the road by 1am olopa will make me open my laugages! He said he will take us to the nearby station by that roundabout. I said I prefer that, because I was already scared for our safety. Do you know this man directed the driver to enter not the station, but the dark, deserted, secluded road that leads to NCAA? That was where katakata blew, we told the driver not to enter that close, we started making calls to alert people of what was going on. We finally got someone to speak with him sternly before he finally let us go. Armed drunk police man ohh, only him. Now imagine if it was a jjc alone with a driver in the car. Anything could have happened. He searches the laugages, finds money or other valuables, what stops the guy commiting crime? Mind you that was the period when cases of people robbed or got missing on arrival into the country.
Hope it has not started again.

Well I didn't consider that police angle, and again I didn't even consider the time of arrival and time when he left the airport.

A lot of people who arrive at such hours stay back at the airport till morning morning to leave the airport, which is the prudent thing to do.

How are you sure he patronized any of those options. Sometimes if you want to save some money, you could just walk outside the arrival and take regular kabu kabu. There so many of hanging around that Ikeja area.
Also if you live very far, you could take a taxi to bus park and then find your way from there.

This is mainly for local flights, especially when arriving at MM2. Some cheapskates with light luggage may choose to 'leg it' out of the airport to the road and hitch buses or whatever.

I'm not sure anyone who arrives at the international airport would consider that option. The distance is way way longer, with all your luggage? Ontop saving how much? Not likely Come on.

Their story get kleg. Nobody thought to pick him up? ok, maybe d family doesn't live in Lagos n he thought to see his guys.

But what kind of person is coming to Nigeria n you guys don't know the exact date he is coming.

Is plane ticket now like GIG motors that you just wake up one random day and head to the park?

And there was nobody in that UK, not even his school admission office that could verify within a day whether or not he left UK? They now waited till June to confirm if he arrived.

Too many anyhow behaviour in one story. That family itself get k-leg.

You have a point.

People arrive Nigeria in their hundreds daily. I personally know very frequent travellers who breeze in and out almost bi-monthly. Any regular airport taxi or Uber would take you where you're going.

There might be a lot more to the story than meets the eye.

omoo! He was probably killed by the taxi driver who conveyed him from the airport. I have heard similar stories like these and it was exactly what happened. In Nigeria, act like you are dangerous or danger will meet you.

When last did you hear this sort of thing happen? The airport taxis are all registered with FAAN, same as Uber/Bolt if he used the latter option. So I'm not really sure.
