This is a man with leadership qualities, his actions and reactions lately have been very impressive. It would have taken PMB one month to make such visits.
Does buhari ever make such visits? mention one he has ever made...
Business / Re: My Street Hustle... In Eye Of The Storm by HelpMySoul: 6:13pm On Aug 17, 2018
In order to start this new journey, I had previously tested different product ideas, burnt money through wallet, I kept burning and was looking for something.

I could remember telling a friend that I am going breakthrough on this and I will never give up, but I never told him I may not use the internet much after I had found what I was looking for.

The urge came when I also noticed that some of the biggest guys in entrepreneurial world do not sit behind their PC too often, instead, they built real world solutions by going out there to move the cheese.

In order to start, I outlined a few pointers that my system should abide by.

1. Solve a problem
2. No giving up
3. It should make participants money (people who work to make sure my ideas become a reality)
4. have recurring potentials.
5. Have national demand.

With this in mind, I started the first one after a few months with Jo after sharing an idea with him. I think it was around April, 2017.

Let's call this dude Jo for this post.

We both worked hard to make sure it becomes a success, we didn't care if we had a clear knowledge of what we were proposing. In fact, I had no idea how to go about it but I started any way.

We started with a model and kept improving on it everyday and never failing to take advice from people who gave it. A friend (let's call him Pat) told me that if I want to get something done, I have to get a physical prototype and present to would be clients. I did that and the reception was increased, they could feel it and their face beamed with excitement.

Technically, in the first few weeks, I was more interested in how they react to what we were proposing and I mentally recorded this reactions in order to know what type of idea to work on.

But the down side was that there were lots of promises here and there from 4 persons than never amount to anything.

In October 2017, while on my way for my Uncle's burial in the East, I had a mild accident (first experience since I was 3 years old) that had me traumatized for weeks with a stop over in Benin. I lodged into an hotel and just stayed alone without seeing anyone. My elder brother was in Benin but I never told him what happened until next day, of course I had no intention to inform my elder sister because I wasn't ready to make anybody feel too worried.

While at the burial, I got a call from Jo who informed me that some persons were interested in what we had at hand. I could feel the excitement in his voice. So I told him to go ahead with them until I came back. On getting back, I told him we couldn't use the previous model but I will have to change it to avoid story that touch.

He was reluctant at first but I made him see reasons with me and accepted my suggestion.

We both worked with this new people from then till early 2018 and when it was time for payment, things well stalled for scrutiny. I could understand the reason because the own of the organization (I wouldn't want to mention the name) we were dealing with has to sign every documents to avoid being ripped off.

I could understand his sentiments because even his own brother, from what I heard, do cheat him.

You see, I started business using the internet, I made a lot of money that could sustain me for long period of time. I took over a thread on nairaland after I discovered that the OP wasn't as knowledgeable as needed and my involvement in that thread changed the course of events for a lot of people.

Then it was time to move away from all that and build something new, something I have never done before, mostly in a terrain I have no knowledge on but I had this inkling or urge to move away from using PC much too often and focus strictly on offline business.

INSANITY!

Oh yes, when you look at the situation wherein everybody is running online, why would you want to go offline? But like Oladayo042 wink once mentioned on nairaland, he described me as someone who likes to experiment many things and truly, that is who I am.

And this new 'fever' was not an exception either.
Business / Re: My Street Hustle... In Eye Of The Storm by HelpMySoul: 5:31pm On Aug 17, 2018
In 2017, I had an epiphany after weeks of brainstorming. This encapsulates my business model based on pre-existing models that I has been in operations for decades. You do not need to reinvent the wheel, remember?

The genesis of this journey was triggered after I read a legendary post from Ronald Nzimora (Many of you internet business personalities should know him) during the MMM era. In one of those post, he said people are willing to pay you money if you can bring them money and if they do not have the money, they will borrow from another source just to make sure they do not miss an opportunity.

This was quite clear with the way MMM was operating that time--there were quite a lot of evidences that people were borrowing money to fund their MMM scheme.

Though, I can't really remember exactly how he put it, but the summary of it all was that, there is so much money hidden and saved somewhere so much that people do not know what to do with it. It is your duty, if you really want it, to make them hand over that money but legitimately by making them an offer they can't refuse.
Politics / Re: NEC Resolves To Decentralise Nigeria Police by HelpMySoul: 9:18am On Aug 17, 2018
SolutionMee:
Good job from NEC

However you decentralize the NPC

Always allow them to discipline Nigerians

I see most Nigerians happy because they engage in one illegal act or the other

I see them happy because they love indiscipline

Please add cane to their ammunition

Most Nigerians deserve serious beating

They are not above flogging

Don't even mind their age

Serious beating was what makes Steve Job to Cofounded Apple

Serious beating can make most Nigerians to Cofound a very big farm

Just as their great grandfathers did

And eventually lead them to journey of the 50's

The century they deserve
don't worry... you will be a victim of these police harassment in a way you will never believe.

I am pretty sure that the aluu 4 thought same too when innocent lives were killed as they watch from their TV screens and mobile phones, little did they know that one day, it will be their turn.

those phones were forking expensive. You don't get the point OP is making.

When those phone were around, I could hardly afford any of them.... But now I can afford to spend up to 50k on a phone.

In my spare time, I will try to update this thread as I move along. I never thought for a second I would be creating something like this until I was done, however, I need some sort of motivation as well at this point in time.

In order to not raise tentacles, I will specifically not mention figures involved so that readers and audience can pay more attention to the underlying lessons therein.

I am doing this because I have noticed that most humans are often attracted by money involved in any business idea while neglecting the core principles and lessons that will better improve their lives.

We all need money but focusing on the money often bring little to no money but focusing on the processes and systems will bring you tremendous benefits beyond your wildest imaginations.

Firstly, I wish to thank Ymodulus for setting the stage for magnetic minds who love to take challenges and question things about their environment.

I wish to give maximum respect to the men who built their hustle off the street from scratch, with no internet tools or software... but just pure determination, acute foresight, mesmerizing manoeuvre, die hard come back and rejection proof... They are the real MVP.

This is set piece from a real life happenings but I do not consider myself an authoritative writer nor a captivator of interest but I will do my best to put it nicely for people to follow.

It will also serve as motivating spring board for others who have their dreams being threatened by unseen or unexpected forces...

ORIENTATION101:
udom is a betrayal if he knows he cant be a stooge why cant he reject the offer from akapbio and fight his own political battle to stardom
apc is taking over in 7 months time.
Akpabio is coming to the winning team with 70% of pdp structure in akwa ibom .udom is not a politician he was a technocrat brought to power all the pdp structure was already in the hands of akapbio before udom .
So akapbio leaving is the end of pdp

We shall see... What I know is akwa ibom people hate APC, majority of them.

Rozayx5, please come tell this man as a true son of Akwa Ibom.

Ideology, ideologies and ideologically... Please share you thought.

Business / Re: Buying A Land With 600k Or Starting A Business? by HelpMySoul: 2:00pm On Jul 19, 2018

Exactly... Background information is very necessary.
Business is very risky... the men who came up with the LEAN START UP idea are not mad and the guy selling the football center is for a reason. So why would I just jump in like that?
Business / Re: Buying A Land With 600k Or Starting A Business? by HelpMySoul: 1:03pm On Jul 19, 2018
Olameen1713:
I want you to read very carefully cos I'm about to share you my life experience.

2015, I had #600k cash with me dat I've been saving to buy a land. I had even gotten a better location through the help of my Inlaw then before a business opportunity came. A football centre, the guy want to sell the business for #200k and relocate. I thought for a second that if I buy this business I will expand it since it's planks and wood it will be easy for me to reconstruct and it will fetch me more money that I will be able to buy the land eventually later.

In short, I invested heavily in it, acquiring more debts.. It took me #950k to complete everything.. In this business, I have football Centre, a tuition Centre and barbing saloon. Of all the three divisions, it's only football Centre that's functioning now. I've even placed it on the market cos I now no longer likely to have time to run it anymore that makes me to be loosing customers.

Today, looking back, If I have to make the a choice between land or business I will choose land. Though the experience I gained from running that business may never be monetized but still, I will definitely choose land.

So my brother, choose carefully... If ur choice is business make sure u make very good research concerning that business very well, make sure it's a business you can do yourself and you have time for it otherwise people will run you down. If you are not ready for all this, I suggest you go for land.

Be wise oooo
This is why I don't jump into some thing like that without first testing it.

Career / Re: Is It Really About Working Hard? by HelpMySoul: 12:10pm On Jul 19, 2018
midehill:
The phrase "working hard" pisses me up nowadays not because I am lazy but because working hard is not the way to get rich and be comfortable.

For instance look around you, I am sure you know atleast one person who is very hardworking, they could be a close friend, neighbours, it could even be our dad or mum. But look at them, sometimes when you hear them speak, some will tell you they have been working for twenty years, some thirty and some fourty and above years with nothing to show for it. All the money they got from working hard are only used to cater for their family and pay bills, after all this they have nothing to show for it after long years of working and sweating.

Meanwhile another guy in the corner knows what works for him, let's say he loves playing football, he would work towards that and before you know it he is a billionaire. Another guy loves singing, he works towards that, before you know it, they are calling him or her for shows up and down. Just recently our celebrity musician tekno said he did not go to school and he is a milionaire, we all know when he started singing meanwhile some of us have been working before he starts singing but just look at it now, our money and his money no be mate, another musician is Mr eazi...how many more do I want to talk about!!!

The message I am trying to pass is know what works for you, if you loves singing go for it, follow your dream one day you will succeed. if you love football, same thing applies to it. If it's acting, go for it,u will succeed

Another thing I want you to note is that when you love doing something and you back it up with prayer and you go for it, there is no way you won't make it.

There are some great music's that haven't been produced because those with the talent are busy doing another thing.

There are some great writers yet to be known simply because they are no where to be found

There are some great footballer that are even far better than Messi and Ronaldo but he or she is somewhere wallowing in poverty

To end it all, school is very important but the way our economy is going, don't dare say you want to become a doctor, lawyer, accountant without having plan B

To me school is overated, u will hear pple saying I want to become a doctor whereas they have something that can pay them more well than those professions they just enlisted.
School is good but if you are not careful, it can make you to be poor.

My name is midehill, I just want to make common sense

I get your point but I don't think it is all about knowing what works for you rather, knowing what is what will reward you handsomely for the time you in.

Time is premium. When you realize this fact, you should be able to see why you should charge premium for whatever you spend your time but with VALUES added.

I told myself last year that I am going to work on something and if it does not pay me at least one million naira after it is done, then it is not worth my time.
