The first opportunity to tell an employer what you can do, your CV is a vital part of your job hunt

What is a CV?

A CV (curriculum vitae) allows you to summarise your education, skills and experience, selling yourself to employers.

In the USA and Canada it's known as a résumé, and tends to be a more concise document.

How long should a CV be?

A standard CV in the UK should be no longer than two sides of A4.

Only include the main facts; if your CV is just one page, that's fine, as employers only want to read relevant information. Some medical or academic CVs may be longer depending on your experience.

What to include in a CV

Contact details - Include your full name, home address, mobile number and email address. You do not need to include your date of birth or a photograph unless you're applying for an acting or modelling job.
Profile - Placed at the beginning of the CV, a profile is a concise statement that highlights your key attributes or reasons for deciding to work in a particular field. Pick out a few relevant achievements and skills, while clearly articulating your career aims. It must focus on the sector you're applying to, as your cover letter will be job-specific. You should keep it short and snappy - 100 words is the perfect length.
Education - List and date all previous education, including professional qualifications, placing the most recent first.
Work experience - List your experience in reverse chronological order, making sure that anything you mention is relevant to the job you're applying for. If you have plenty of relevant work experience, this section should come before education.
Skills and achievements - This is where you talk about the foreign languages you speak and the IT packages you can competently use. Whatever you list should be relevant to the job and not over-exaggerated, as you'll need to back up your claims at interview. If you have got lots of relevant experience you should do a skills-based CV.
Interests - Simply writing 'socialising, going to the cinema and reading' isn't going to catch the attention of the recruiter. However, when relevant to the job, your interests can provide a more rounded picture of you and give you something to talk about at interview. Examples include writing your own blog if you want to be a journalist, or being part of a drama group if you're looking to get into sales.
References - You don't need to provide the names of references at this stage. You also don't need to say 'references available upon request' as most employers would assume this to be the case.

Avoid fonts such as Comic Sans. Instead, choose something more professional such as size-10 Arial.
List everything in reverse chronological order so the recruiter sees your most impressive and recent achievements first.
Keep it concise and easy to read by using clear spacing and bullet points. This type of CV layout allows employers to skim your CV and quickly pick out the important information.
If you're posting your CV, go with white A4 paper. Only print on one side and don't fold your CV - you don't want it to arrive creased.
How to write a good CV

Use active verbs wherever possible. For example, you could include words like 'created', 'analysed' and 'devised' to present yourself as a person who shows initiative.
There should be no spelling or grammar mistakes in your CV. Use a spell checker and enlist a second pair of eyes to check over it.
Avoid using generic phrases such as 'team player', 'hardworking' and 'multitasker'. Instead, provide real-life examples that demonstrate all of these skills.
Take a look at the company's website, local press and the job advert to make sure that your CV is targeted to the role and employer.

Don't put the term 'curriculum vitae' at the top of the page.
Provide a professional-sounding email address.
Never lie or exaggerate on your CV or job application. Not only will you demonstrate your dishonesty to a potential employer, but there can be serious consequences too. For example, altering your degree grade from a 2:2 to a 2:1 is classed as degree fraud and can result in a prison sentence.
If you're posting your CV online don't include your home address, as you could be targeted by fraudsters.
You should always include a cover letter unless the employer states otherwise. It will enable you to personalise your application to the job. It's a bad thing for a believer to be swimming in the pool of poverty: it make believer loose focus on the heavenly assignment and target. A ministry without money is just like a vehicle with out a wheel. I do hear this saying that "owo ni keke iyin rere" that is money is the vehicle to evangelism. The gospel of Christ which is the gospel of good news should not be preached on an empty stomach(physically, financially or spiritually). For instance, after preaching to a thief and he was touch by the word of God that was preached to him, take note that if this thief does not have financial support, spiritual update and encouragement from you in order for him to take his mind off those act of stealing.
Evangelism is not just preaching the good news but it's a continuous improvement and support of that person that as being preached to, until he gets to the stage of stability. Evangelism is fellowshiping with such person and ensuring he or she does not go back to his/her sins. Evangelism which the work of God need to showcase the glory of God in you, although you might say it take your time, energy and money,that is why we need wealth as a Christian to fulfill our mission.
Then why do few believer hold the wealth of the nation and top positions in the society. 15% of believer who are boss or owners of a firm employ a believer into their company. Wealth holder should be Christians and not pagans. Psalm 73: 12 Behold, these are the ungodly, who prosper in the world; they increase in riches.
Psalm 22:7 The rich ruleth over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender. Tell if this scripture is true and fair then the unbelievers who are the richest, lend to the believers who lack or who are dying in poverty,then the believers becomes a servant to the ungodly.it's not possible to serve God and Mammon (the ungodly). Any one under the slavery of the ungodly can't have the capacity to serve God.Matthew 6:24 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. When there's this love for God you will have wealth not just money. There's a different between having money and wealth
Wealth is more than we know, it's not all about riches but prosperity in all area of life. Definition of wealth: welfare; prosperity; good; well-being; happiness; joy; Riches; valuable material possessions. Its can also be seen as a great amount; an abundance or plenty and Power, of the kind associated with a great deal of money. While money is a currency maintained by a state or other entity which can guarantee its value (such as a monetary union). Or An item of value between two parties used for the exchange of goods or services. When a man love money , he becomes a slave to money by falling into debt or looking for anything that has value for financial exchange then give way for Mammon to rule his or her life. Money is alway exchange with something inorder to get it and its for awhile.so when a beliver goes ahead to borrow and forgeting that Money is the by product of having God. God posses the key to wealth, he said in the scripture that he will provide for our needs according to his riches in glory. Then why borrow from the ungodly, why be slave to the ungodly, why working for the ungodly in order for them to hold more wealth of the nation. is it that believer are too focused on heavenly crown and are willingly dying in poverty. No it is because they have forgetton the attributes of who they carry. 2 Corinthians 8:9 For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich. Also in Mark 10:21 Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me.
Jesus was speaking of the good news the gospel of Christ and of grace,that we are to preach this gospel to others and also enrich them in Christ. Mark 10:21 tells us the necessity of being rich; to ensure that through us,others become rich and be saved from poverty. This same scripture still explain the cost of following Christ and benfit therein. We are meant to pick up the cross,follow him and enrich other people's lives in order to acquire heavenly treasures.
But it amaze me seeing believers saying seek first the kingdom of God and every other things shall be add into you. Yes this statement is true but its sometimes serve as an excuse, don't you know it's an heavenly mandate for we Christian to prosper. Job 8:6 If thou wert pure and upright; surely now he would awake for thee, and make the habitation of thy righteousness prosperous.
Ecclesiastes 5:19 Every man also to whom God hath given riches and wealth, and hath given him power to eat thereof, and to take his portion, and to rejoice in his labour; this is the gift of God.
The gift of God is suppose to be meant for believers. Then what is wrong with today believer?
Now here are biblical outlines of why believers still remain in poverty, how to get out of poverty and reason to be wealthy.

Why we still stay poor
1. Lack of knowledge: Romans 13:14, 2 chronicles 1:12. It's written in the bible that my people perish because of lack of knowledge and proverb 10:15 say poverty is the destruction of the poor.so tell me the difference between destruction and perish in the both scriptures, it's the same and it's meant for the poor and those who lack knowledge (believer). If you lack knowledge, you become poor and if you are poor, you will be perish and be destroyed.This is the flow of prosperous people; Knowledge- wisdom- riches- wealth- honour. Anyone that's acquire knowledge, apply knowledge to get wisdom, by applying knowledge (wisdom) you get riches and accumulate wealth through riches and get honour for your wealth.
2. Proverb 10:15 - refused instructions: instructions make life easier to live. It's a safeguard to the treasures of life. Proverb 4:13 Take fast hold of instruction; let her not go: keep her; for she is thy life. Proverb 6:23 For the commandment is a lamp; and the law is light; and reproofs of instruction are the way of life. By listening to instructions and adhering to it, you are both acquiring knowledge and at the same time applying it, this make Instructions the fasters way of getting wealth.proverb 9:9 Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be yet wiser: teach a just man, and he will increase in learning.
3. Hasth to Rich that is get rich quick syndrome. - Proverb 28:22. Youth of nowadays want the faster means of getting wealth, they have never stop to reason that wealth accumulation (knowledge- wisdom- riches- wealth- honour) is a gradual process. That is why most of them loose it in life, they have loved money not wealth found in God. That is why proverb 1:16 says For their feet run to evil, and make haste to shed blood. Because they have loved money so therefore given their life to Mammon. Its the love of money the brings this societal idea of get quick syndrome.When believer are in haste and love money they loose their faith and forget their God. 1 Timothy 6:10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
4.Companion of Vain persons - proverb 28:19 says He that tilleth his land shall have plenty of bread: but he that followeth after vain persons shall have poverty enough. A vain person is described as a person who is without purpose, fruitless, who is very loud of oneself or someone who is having a little substance. David was saying to God in Psalm 26:4 I have not sat with vain persons, neither will I go in with dissemblers. Vain people are seeing as people who take life as it comes,sating with such people poison the heart. Sating with such people, they will make you their slave because you as a believer have purpose but they will subject such purpose under their will. They are waster of life and of destiny. They will never give wise counsel(proverb says Every purpose is established by counsel: and with good advice make war) because they have no purpose, their ways are evil and their generation will soon be cut off.

What is Grace when you can't access the throne of Mercy?
A Grace will be amounted to a disgrace when a believer misuse it. Romans 6:15 What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.
Grace is an unmerited favor. It's a gift to a person who does not worth the gift but want it(consciously or unconsciously). Grace is Free and undeserved favour, especially of God. Unmerited divine assistance given to humans for their *regeneration* or *sanctification*.
The Grace of God is far beyond man's expectations for his life but can only be accessed through one way which is the mercy of God. Note that you can't find Grace, if you can't access the throne of Mercy. Grace and mercy is a two way thing. When the gift of God(unmerited Favour) is being *received* by man,it's called *Grace* but when the gift of God is *given* to man,it's called *Mercy*.
The Giving side scriptures
Romans 9:15 For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion. Imagine you are in possession of a gift called Mercy that want to give out, it's your choice to make on deciding who you will give. Now the only way a person can get such gift is if he/she comes to you in faith and in boldness to have it. The choice you make in giving that person rather than reserving it for another person is called Mercy. So therefore the person receiving your mercy has found grace in your sight. Titus 3:5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to *his mercy* he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; this verse want us to know that Mercy is not as a result of our work of righteousness but by God choice through regeneration (born again) and renewing of holy ghost (renewing of the mind).
Luke 18:39 And they which went before rebuked him, that he should hold his peace: but he cried so much the more, Thou Son of David, have mercy on me. What will make us to have access to the throne of Mercy is for us to empty ourselves in the presences of our Creator and cry aloud abba father. God is looking for someone who want his Mercy and not someone who thinks of accessing the throne through the work of righteousness. Mercy goes this way; you might think you worth it and not want it and you might think you want it and not worth it. Remember it was the mercy of God that left King Saul that located king David in the wilderness. As Saul was busy seeking for this Mercy of God, David was receiving this Same Mercy of God called grace. 1Samuel 16:1 And the Lord said unto Samuel, How long wilt thou mourn for Saul, seeing I have rejected him from reigning over Israel? fill thine horn with oil, and go, I will send thee to Jesse the Bethlehemite: for I have provided me a king among his sons. Note this when the Mercy of God leaves you, it will result to disgrace- 1 Samuel 15.

The receiving side scriptures:

Genesis 19:19 Behold now, thy servant hath found grace in thy sight, and thou hast magnified thy mercy, which thou hast shewed unto me in saving my life; and I cannot escape to the mountain, lest some evil take me, and I die:.this verse is talking a servant who had find and received Grace from his master by the emphasis on his Mercy. The word "*magnify*" in the verse above means to place more importance on something(Mercy) or to intensify and enlarge something(Mercy). God has place more importance on his Mercy and enlarge it to everyone( both believers and unbelievers). Most want grace but we don't understand the meaning of Mercy. it's because of our lack of understanding and of knowledge, we believer perish. That is why Matthew 9:13 says *But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice*: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance. Mercy is meant for demonstration of his power (ability to make choices for us) upon our lives. it's left for us to demonstrate our desire for his Mercy by crying abba father. It's by faith and believe we obtain mercy; Romans 11:31 says Even so have these also now not believed, that through your mercy they also may obtain mercy.
God Mercy is always for you to find purpose and direction to life while the grace of God is to find fulfilment to life purpose. You must first obtain Mercy from God; asking him to have mercy on you that you can't run this race only. When God accept to run the race with you,it's now called grace. Once you can access the throne of Mercy and obtain Mercy then you find Grace in fulfilling purpose. That is you can't find Grace outside purpose and without mercy. Grace is not partiality because the person that obtain it, has first pleaded for Mercy and obtain Mercy. Grace make everything go in ease for you. When grace is ahead of you,it remove obstacles .

How To Get Started

==> Go to www.hulkshare.com

==> Search for the track you want to embed e.g "Iyanya"

==> Once you see the music track in the search results, click on it. This will open a new page.

==> Scroll down the new page and click "embed"

==> A new window will pop up with two options: Hulkshare comment player and legacy flash

==> Click the "Get embed widget" link below the "Hulkshare comment player" option

==> Customize as you desire and click the "copy to clickboard" button

==> Go to your Blogger post editor

==> While using the compose tab, write the main content of your post as normal, then place your cursor where you would like the hulkshare audio player to appear.

==> Paste the code you copied earlier

==> Preview your post and if OK, publish it.

NOTE: Be sure to check the "Interpret Typed HTML" option on the post "Options" in the right side of the post editor, otherwise the raw code for your player will be displayed instead!

Alternatively, switch to the HTML mode of the post editor when composing a post and paste your code as HTML before publishing it.
