LadyGuinivere:

It was not a mistake. It was a clear, calculated delibrate plan.'Correcting the mistake ' as u called it means how can u now complete your plan to commit immigration fraud.Or how can one aid u to achieve your purpose from the get go.I have no advice for that.
My advice is
1. Don't overstay the period stamped in.
2. Forget about that your 'marriage ' for now cos ul jus get married for nothing sake.

Thank you for your guided response, Please I will like to know how to go about it if I don't overstay and decide to return to Nigeria before the stamped in period elapse, however I will like to state it clearly that there is no written or signed documents that pronounced me married, so does it mean I will have to go get a divorce paper before I can be allowed to go ahead and get married to the lady I met in the States, but who will I be divorcing LOL.. That is the confusing part of it, Please I'll gladly appreciate your reply. thanks in anticipation

Greetings to the house, Please I need a candid advice from the Guru in the house, I'm currently in the USA, I came here with a Tourist Visa about 2 Months ago and I was stamped 6Months at the POE, during my Visa application, I indicated in my Marital status that I was married while I'm NOT, right now I met a lady here in the States who was born here and we are in a relationship, we intend to get married, Please I will like to know if I get married to her and she files for me, if the Marital status on my Visa application would stand as a hindrance or obstacle for me to be granted a change of Status, Please my dear people, any swift response would be highly appreciated..
