Go for what your heart desires. I suggest you meet a carrier consultant, but in my humble opinion you can go for an undergraduate degree in biochemistry and then Master in Microbiology. Job prospects depend on you.

I can't argue with b'coz I failed Integrated Science in my JSS3 exams. Seriously, with what I read it's an Ebola-like virus
Lol. It's very much like Ebola virus because both are in the same family known as Filoviridae. They are both single-stranded, negative sense RNA viruses and both carry out reverse transcriptase. Both are morphologically similar but genetically distinct, that's why the symptoms are alike but the fatality significantly different. Ebola is more life-threatning.

Ebola was not a joke, so is Marburg. The 30 years old technician died early this week. Precisely on Monday, in fact it is a lethal viral infectious disease. May God save the world
Forget. Marburg's pathogenicity is not sharp as Ebola, so it can't be spread fast. This type of news is meant to scare people. Again, Forget. lipsrsealed

Relax, Marburg virus has a fatality rate of about 40-55%; its not more deadly than Ebola but they belong to the same family--Filoviridae. They are both single stranded RNA viruses but Ebola is more deadly.

fonzy98:
sad Hi friends help me out am really disturbed. When will Uniuyo release the supplementary list 2014/2015
Hi Fronzy98, don't be disturbed. Have faith and you'll secure admission. I want to tell you what I noticed. Uniuyo consciously or unconsciously follows the even number 2 this year. The date for the post utme was announced two weeks before the exams. The exams started on Wednesday 30, July 2014 and ended on Friday, August 1 2014.
After that, the results for the post UTME came out two weeks after on Saturday 16 August 2014.
Then, the admission list came out yet again two weeks after on Sunday 31 August 2014.
Therefore, if supplementing to another course expired on Sunday 28 September, the list is likely to come out between 12 - 15th of October.
Pls note that it's just a prediction. Once again, Good Luck.

Very funny. There was also this one we called Koso/Kodi, you make it with a biro cover and battery plastic heads. It is(or rather was) played mostly during rainy seasons. God punish you say you fail, na 'chinkwack/chinzafi' you go collect grin

2. Deep Deep: where there'll be something like "Deep deep deep deep, double double set right out!". You could only barely catch me on that one.

3. One For Hiding: Then we had experts on this one. Every group spreads out to hiding and then someone calls out, "ONE FOR HIDING, TWO FOR SETTING, THREE FOR... FIRE!!" ha-ha-ha. We really disturbed our neighbours with our "PA! PA! PA! Prrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! Duuv! Duuv! Duuv! Duuv! Duuv! Na lie Chimobi I don kill you!!" we felt like RAMBO then... Those good old days...

It is most likely an RNA virus, single stranded and negatively polarised with longer genetic information and performs reverse transcriptase.

Politics / Re: 20 Grave Errors Nigeria And Nigerians Have Made From The Colonial Era Until Now by hod898(m): 9:36pm On Oct 01, 2014
I never knew most of these until now. Very true, Nigerian system is too lenient with corruption that's why it's thriving successfully, walking in every Government parastatal, private sector and streets with arms opened wide--I rule them all. Yes, indeed I do.
Today, I was watching an EFCC (ECONOMIC and FINANCIAL crimes of CIVILIANS COMMISSION) and saw mostly greedy bankers and students who wanted more food on their table been prosecuted, and yet our looting politicians are busy jumping around the streets accusing one another of lavity and unseriousness. One of the prosecuted was a student who stole 1million naira; they treated him as if he was a high way robber and yet leaders who stole over 1million * 100 are treated like gods. Look at Fmr. Adamawa state governor. In fact, there is no crime regulatory commission in Nigeria. Corruption is equal to depriving citizens of their rights to the benefits of democracy. It should be charged with at least 50yrs imprisonment. And Nigeria needs a revolution in all sectors, the leaders of today are still the leaders of tomorrow; how does that change anything? God bless Nigeria.

That's the problem. Right now I have gotten the book you recommended and with what you said I don't really need that e-library thingy. I guess I just have to learn it on my own so I need to get an engineering math set + drawing book. I don't know how to go about the drawing board tho........ But my fear is even if I get everything ready CAN I SUCCESSFULLY TEACH MYSELF A SUBJECT THAT IS QUITE DISCRETE AND REQUIRES SOME KIND OF ABSTRACT REASONING? I wish I have the answer I really wish
Well apparently there's only one way to find out.
My advice, if you want to understand T.D., relate it to your course of study--ChemEng. Chemical engineers design and maintain plants and processes in an industry, this mean that they must have a good understanding of engineering drawing. If you want to understand T.D., relate it to the future, as if you want to design plant processes and the way the pipes are connected, the angles too, and you are learning the basics for understanding what you want to construct. In that way you'll understand the subject like Quadratic equations.

I don't know. Its only the e-library that I am aware of. Thanks for your help
O.K. I think you can use the e-library. But the reason I'm recommending hard copied textbooks is because Technical Drawing is a practical subject. If you need to practice, you'll need the necessary tools--drawing board, mathematical set, T-square, etc. In an e-library I don't think it'll be convenient and comprehensive to practice as expected. It's still possible though, but you'll be uncomfortable.

Education / Re: UNIUYO 2014/2015 Admission Update Thread by hod898(m): 6:20pm On Sep 26, 2014
It's possible to get a T. D. practical textbook in a bookshop but the past questions might not be available. You might want to visit the library in your state, there might be good books there too.
Jesuspikin7:
Ok thanks a million!. Am grateful.... Can I also get something like the waec past questions for tech drawing in a bookshop?

Lest I forget please I haven't done technical drawing in my life b4 and I heard we will be doing it as a course when we resume. Please in case you did it in secondary school do you know any O level textbook I can brush through btw now and when we resume?
Yeah, you can use Technical Drawing for School Certificate and G.C.E. by J.N. Green.

Yes, I believe I'm for pharmacy. No. Recently, I got in contact with a 100L student willing to give out the heavy courses and topics to me.
He is yet to anyway. I'm willing to get them from anyone else too.
I heard 100L is very challenging as fail in any course will require re-sitting 100L all over. I will strive to never fail. So help me God.
What course are you for again?
Chemical Engineering, 260 post utme. Well I've been going to the state library to read ChemENG books. They're really interesting. Do you know that drugs discovered by Pharmacists are produced in industrial quantities by the Chemical engineers? ChemENG and Pharmacy have close ties!

Thanks a lot bro. Noted. Tomorrow I intend visiting JAMB office so I can reject the admission offer from our savior institute of science and technology(poly) Enugu state, so that when that of uniuyo shows up, only it will be there. If it is possible, how much will it cost me?

Also, I read we should come for the screening with the receipt of the acceptance fee. Well I've paid the acceptance fee of N15000 and I have the teller, pray tell me how I can convert this bank teller to receipt in order to be fully ready for the screening/registration scheduled to hold in January/February?
Cost of rejecting an admission offer is foreign to me, I have no idea. However, I don't think there's really going to be issuance of receipts for now, that's if there ever will be, but if the issuance turns positive then be rest assured that it will be during registration.
