Car Talk / Re: My Corolla Is Consuming Fuel by holykezi: 12:28pm On Nov 17, 2022
I think Mechanics want to kill me. I've a 2016 corolla s plus with cvt. My full tank carries me max 4 days, my routine is 12km to and from school in morning, another 12km by noon. Total 24km or max 35km daily. My catalyst is new, yet i keep getting p0240 code, haven't changed oxygen sensor yet though. Also, those with experience, how much does a cvt gearbox cost?

Nairaland / General / Real Time Car Tracking. Any Idea? by holykezi: 2:08pm On Sep 17, 2019
Hello guys, I'm looking for better real time car tracking, that these car thieves can't easily disconnect (not the normal immobilizer).

Something that can be in the car, and be showing live feed of the movement of the car via gps or satellite (even if it has 5 minutes delay), but yet difficult to search out by unknown persons or third party.

In searched through the net, not getting meaningful leads, or maybe I've not used the right keywords.

So drop your suggestions, let's help keep our roads safe and help people secure their cars.

Thanks.

So I got this guy's number from a WhatsApp group chat where he indicated he is into exchange of gift cards for cash.
So, I sent him a £50 pounds of Amazon gift card. This dude redeemed the card and claimed he was unable to redeem it. Before I could check, I discovered the card have already been redeemed. Be careful of him!
I was able to get more details about him with his number.

Name:
Seye Odeyemi
Address :
Oyo State, Ibadan North, No 26 Babatunde Oyerinde Street Ijokodo Ibadan.

Below are screenshots of our conversation.
The general public should be weary of him.
He has been into this online scam for a very long time

You're the scammer here. We're all in same escrow group, and @seye is a trusted member.

Like I told you in the group, if you've no experience with gift cards, you better go learn, cos trying to drag someone's name in the mud will only land you in trouble.
Phones / Re: Is This The End Of MTN SME Data Share Subscription Business? by holykezi: 12:12pm On Oct 25, 2014
luluosas:
Good morning this midnight to you all MTN SME Data Share resellers,
I met a shock from MTN this night while trying to share my data with a customer for a volume of 250MB. After completing the process, I got this shocking message on my screen:

"Dear Customer, you have already reached your quota of 10 maximum shares for your plan. Please purchase another plan to be allotted another 10 shares".

I thought it was an error, I checked my data balance and it was still intact with 2.09GB left. So, I decided to try it again and behold, the same shocking and sad message was the response.

Fellow MTN SME Data Share resellers, what's your own experience this night? Is this the end of MTN SME Data Share business?

Let's hear from you. Thank you.

I noticed same bout past 2am today. I called, the girl that answered said it's just minor issue and refreshed my line. Even promised that it'll work within an hour.

From the look of things, mtn has experienced major loss since we got the business of 250mb and 500mb off their hands. So we only have 10 share slots per subscription. Those when dey subscribe 75gb, make una ready to on hotspot or open cafe ooo, cos na GOBE we dey so.

Make we encourage our customers to dey buy 1gb instead of 250mb 1k from mtn. #Shikina

I refuse to believe this man. Telling me you get 10GB from MTN at the rate of N10,000 is not true. I have seen some of these guys into similar business of yours selling their 1GB for N950 & 2GB for N1,500. So, do the calculation! The buying price is not even gonna surface let alone profit.

I believe this is a tweak you are not willing to let out. I also called MTN Customer care now and they could not confirm your claim.

What other proof do you want? Be a sharp gentleman and google it up, so you don't speak OP. Thanks

Car Talk / Re: New Policy On Importation Of Tokunbo Cars: Big News Page by holykezi: 7:45am On Oct 01, 2014

It baffles me the type of profound inconsiderate attitude with which some ppl speak. Hw many Average nigerians can afford a brand new car? Most ppl buy used cars whose costs are normally less dan a mill. Finally, a good wine needs no bush if the cars are of good quality ppl will patronise, bone dt non-patronage of locally made goods mentality. Gone ar dose days ppl prefered foriegn goods to local ones it's now all abt quality and cost. Ppl don wise up o

Hello! I agree with the fact that Nigeria wants to change from consumer to producing nation. The fact is that we barely have enough money to buy brand new international or local goods. Imagine I'm paid 50k as a banker, after taking house bills off what's left to even save to buy a car and how many years will it take to save the cash for a new car? So we rather buy used things in good shape. Else banks are ready to dish out very low interest rate loans so people can afford cars and other stuff, that's what they do abroad, take car loans and house loans and blah blah blah. For Naija, if you take car loan, interest rate go kill you even before you enjoy the thing you go for. So allow those at the bottom of the food chain to buy what they can afford, bring duty price down!
