mamaput:

Me i have a good laugh if a man opens the car door for me.

Lol, i agree with u mamaput. It looks quite 'suspicious' especially if the guy is black. It leaves u thinking, 'hmmm, so what's the catch?' grin but few 'cool' guys can be sincere sometimes

Wowwwww, hope all men haters on NL read this.

That's a good job Man-eater, i think u need a good treat for such a lovely post. Have u had anything for lunch? Come and eat me plss grin grin grin grin
Family / Re: Nigerian Men by Honeypot1(m): 9:20pm On Feb 15, 2007
Sometimes when i evaluate what women consider as 'romantic', i can't help but wag my head in utter disbelief. Women indeed are from Mars grin, Little wonder they keep falling into the hands of playas who know how to act smoothly albeit for a short time

I can only open the door (car or whatever) for a woman/girl, if i got there before her, if she is a child or elderly or if it is physically impossible for her to do so. I've often rushed to help ladies pushing their baby buggies open a door. But to routinely open a car door which requires no extraordinary effort? Never, it's not in my xter.
Family / Re: Do Wives Deserve A Slap Or Two To Caution Them? by Honeypot1(m): 12:44am On Feb 14, 2007
LadyT, thanks for replying my senseless post.

You simply reiterated my earlier opinion, the suggestions u made fall within my 'fit-for-purpose' disciplinary measure. And as regards men getting a slap also, that is definitely offtopic because the thread clearly reads ''Do Wives Deserve A Slap Or Two To Caution Them?'' I will sure give my opinion on that when such thread comes up but until then let's keep to the topic
Family / Re: Do Wives Deserve A Slap Or Two To Caution Them? by Honeypot1(m): 12:15am On Feb 14, 2007
Sometimes i laugh at some cyber hypocrisy exhibited by many people. Guys who are afraid of being branded retards or bullies, try fruitlessly to wear a good public face without proper analysis of the subject matter. I don't support wife beating but to be honest sometimes u just have to restrain urself

So do wives deserve a slap or two to caution them? Yes, now before u throw ur angry jibes at me, just read on
Should u do it or is it worth it? No, but u can devise a fit-for-purpose disciplinary measure

The truth is that some women can be so annoying sometimes, that is why only guys with high sense of maturity and inexhaustible patience should contemplate marriage.

The best option is to enter into a pre-marital contract with the woman - No direct or remote nagging/disrespect by any means verbal or body language, then no disciplinary action in any form from the man. The terms and conditions must be kept by all parties at all times, with grave punishment awaiting repeat offenders

Seriously, why do majority of women nag and seem to generate strife? Why can't they politely and calmly talk over issues with their spouses. I need honest answers from ladies please, no name calling here, u can disagree with my views politely without starting another chain of verbal abuse plsssss.

Uche2nna:

*whistles and thinks about all the accusations*

Ur thoughts are as good as mine, Uche.

Free has just added her own side of the story which confirms the complexity of these beautiful creatures called women grin grin, if we ignore them, we are accused of insensitivity and being unromantic, if we don't, we are called weirdos grin

I also get such emails from girls in this forum but i think i owe them some privacy, it will be so cruel to make their courage and bold attempt a news headline.

Anyway, we are not deterred, especially for all the special NL girls, we can't stand and watch our pretty sisters slip off our fingers grin, so expect more of those mails Free, and Ikamefa, i know ur own list is over 200 now grin

Humans can sometimes be referred to as 'things'. It depends on the context. See No. 12 definition in

Nairaland / General / Re: Attracted By A Dogs Ass? by Honeypot1(m): 1:51am On Feb 13, 2007
lol @Uche2nna, never, i can't be numbered among the wooing lot, 'cause the girl is mine grin grin
I'm attracted to a gem kiss and not a dog's ass (and please, sweet Raddie is just too lovely to be associated with such a term) grin

@mukina
why are u monitoring our love escapades? grin It was first her seeming assertive nature that got me curious, i got a little closer and then i was hooked. since then i've followed her all the way, a gesture which is my liitle way to let her know she is special in every way. And it is amazing how what started as a harmless emotional spark developed into benign flames of passion, engulfing my whole being.

And Radiant sweetheart, if u are reading this now, just be aware that I'm crazy about u. I'll rather make an open declaration of my love for u, than join the secret stalkers in going underground, 'cause u are worth my heart and love. I tell u, if u were a cross, i'll happily carry u everywhere i go and shout to all who care - ''the girl is mine'' kiss kiss kiss
Family / Re: Why Do Singles In the U.S/U.K Still Prefers To Go And Marry From Naija by Honeypot1(m): 11:44pm On Feb 12, 2007
Weep not Stilettos, if u try me, then u'll change your opinion about uk-based naija guys grin grin

i think most guys go back to marry 'cause they've started the process before their trip abroad, others feel home-based girls are better groomed. Sometimes many singles may be isolated by their busy career that they have little time to socialize and only left with an option of getting referrals from home

I don't have preference though, naija or abroad i don't care, but she must have that 'nigerianess' (whatever that means) in her. And seriously i don't cherish, chips, KFC or Burger King, she must be a garri & correct ogbono soup fan grin grin grin grin, a xteristic lacking in most naija babes born abroad grin

Radiant:

Hello people, tongue

Umm. . this thread might not make sense to most of you but the few that will be interested should help me out.

I've received a couple of e.mails (over 6) from different people tellin me how attractive I look from just viewin the picture on my Nairaland profile. They go to the extent of giving me their numbers and telling me "sweet words". *roll eyes* One was even talking about building a life together shocked

For goodness sake, why would a picture of a dogs ass attract someone? embarassed embarassed embarassed

This is beyond me grin grin grin

Wow, Radiant is at it again, generating tsunamis of reaction, u must be the reigning Nairaland queen grin Over 6 desperate emails, all declaring their undying love just at the sight of a dog ass? grin A feat, some Nairaland girls with real pics have not achieved. Good job, Raddie girl. And why are u surprised?

For goodness sake, why would a picture of a dogs ass attract someone?

Oh i thought love was blind.

So what did u tell this over 6 legislating desperados? Did u sign their love bills to law? grin grin Hey everyone, Be warned, Radiant is Honey_pot's reserved area (HRA), all secret love-email writers (trespassers) will be prosecuted grin grin

Emanuel Babayaro is not his blood brother, I don't think they are even of the same tribe

Whatever the case, they were both born in the same state and I've never heard they're not "blood" brothers. However, they're related somehow, anyhow.

Deepest sympathy to the Babayaro family cry

Yeah, Celestine lost his younger brother, his name is Eze, he was a very nice guy, such a big loss. I paid them a condolence visit yesterday.

C'mmon Seun, don't take things seriously. People are just having cyber fun. When I saw 'face of the ruling clown' in ur profile, i thought u will have a good sense of humour. i don't take obvious online 'yabs' seriously either.

TerraCotta:

Honey_pot--You sound like you've hand-delivered that pink slip/letter of termination one or two times in the past. grin

I think Babe_Heart is really sincere about wanting to change though. I hope it all works out for her.

I agree with u, but such sincerity is suspect. She is a perfect example of 21st century girls who expect guys to love, marry them with their flaws and never require them to change. I'm happy babe-heart has identified and acknowledged her 'sins', but my worry is that she lacks the needed remorse/right attitude to effect a positive change.

I don't hesitate in handing out those letters and won't even strike the deal if i see any tell tale sign of a contentious spouse 'cause i detest nagging strongly. I advice babe-heart to change immediately b4 her boisterous nature sinks her already troubled rship boat.
Nairaland / General / Re: How Old Do You Think Seun Is? by Honeypot1(m): 10:54pm On Jan 29, 2007
From the pic in his profile, I estimate Seun's age at 37.53 years grin
Reason: endangered forehead threatened by impending baldness grin grin

His second picture is so so, a smile would have done the magic, i guess he was trying too hard to be handsome grin I'm sure Snazzydawn and Queenzy who were fighting over Seun on one of the threads, will change their minds when they see his face grin grin. Anyway, u look more like a cool but serious 25 yr old in the second picture.

if he really is 24, i must admit he's quite sensible for his age. (some of his replies to posts have demonstrated)
Romance / Re: How Can I Make My Man Happy? by Honeypot1(m): 10:12pm On Jan 29, 2007
@babe-heart

Keep it up girl. Do u know what? Nag the more, abuse him at the slightest opportunity, research ways on how to annoy a guy and improve your stubborness skills. And i can assure u, guys always keep their promises especially to nagging, abusive and stubborn girls. It won't be long and u will earn your long deserved 'sack' and there u will go crying wolf like most girls do, probably labelling him a liar or cheat.

@Terracotta, u just stole the words out of my mouth

babyfayce:

I Just Came To London I'm Miserable Help
i just came to london from nigeria to visit but this place is really not up to my expectations, i know it doesn't matter but when my cousins cam back from london they wear the coolest stuff ever and they rap instead of talking so i taught hmm i must get here sometimes when i have chance but when i came i couldn't beleive my eyes, the houses are red, the cars are not it the people i stay with don't have a car while they have 2 in naija,

babyfayce, your case is that of a misplaced expectation. What did u expect to see? Gold-plated roads and flower-strewn pathways? Why would anyone have problems with red (bricks) houses? Yes, some UK residential buildings (which are designed to suit their weather/small-landmass) are not as strong as those in naija, yet cases of collapsed buildings are almost nonexistent.

The cars are varied too, big and small (sometimes in the majority), depending on where u are. But what do u expect? US type of cars on UK small roads? And tell me why your cousins should have a car in london if there is no need for that and when there is an efficient transport system. Unlike the US, the british system discourages owning a car. The MD of my company comes to work through london underground, some professors even cycle to school, others walk to work if they live close to their offices. If u know what it will cost your cousins using/maintaining a car per annum, u will appreciate their wisdom.

babyfayce:

everybody is stressed out and tired, there is no money anywhere and i'm bored but the story i've heared is too good to be this is there something i don't get, i brought camera to take interesting photo to show my friends but there is nothing attracting, i just found this site to erase boredom, can someone give me ideas of things i could do till i go home i still have about 3 weeks left. on plus side i know how to deal with my family that demo for us in lagos and those yankee guys dressed like 50cent
anyway, someone please tell me what to do to have fun i'm so booooooooored i'm waiting

This is a big joke!! How can u say there are no attractions in London. I'm not even sure u are in london, maybe your cousins are living in one nearby suburb and u take that for london. If u visit Agege, Ajegule, Mushin, Sango-Agbado-Ijaiye, will u say u visited lagos? Or if u spend some days in gwagwalada, chika, karmo, will u claim to have set your eyes on Abuja? And i bet u, your camera will be redundant in such places.

Why won't everybody be stressed out? People work here to survive, there is no free lunch in London!!! Why are u complaining that there is no money anywhere? Are u not on holiday? Did u really think someone will be doling out cash to u or expect u will be able to work for those 3 weeks and probably go back to naija with thousands of pounds?

From all u've said, i can see u have never left your host's house for a day. remember that london transport is very expensive, so u need enough money before u can go sight-seeing and i tell u, u will be spoilt for choice. Tell your cousins to take u to central london (zone 1), there is tourist guide to all the hot spots in london at the underground stations.
Crime / Re: Sexual Abuse In Nigeria by Honeypot1(m): 12:53am On Jan 27, 2007
@Con4fused

If u must know, sexual abuse exists in Nigeria. I have been sexually assaulted seduced by pretty girls on 2 occasions (attempted rape). I was aged 24, my brother shared a flat with 2 of his colleagues who had their sisters (undergrads) on holiday. They wanted me by all means, one of them used her feminine assets and brute force to get me into it. I was so traumatised, i only told my bros
