Religion / Re: 10 Questions We Christians Need To Give Answers To by HonKontigi: 9:16am On Sep 15, 2013
We all know that your questions have no answers unless we want to declare portions of the Bible as falsehood. For a christian that's unthinkable - for you cannot believe the Bible is word of God (including the commas and fullstops?) and at the same time say some statements in it are lies. Christianity has faced this dilemma for centuries. One solution was to "revise" and remove portions of the Bible deemed "difficult" (giving us Revised Standard edition). But that did not solve the problem, so all the contradictions still remain leaving many to wonder whether everything in the Bible can be word of God.

Politics / Re: Pictures Of Borno & Yobe From A JTF Nairalander. by HonKontigi: 3:19pm On Sep 10, 2013
Gej did not send JTF to fight boko haram. The jtf was just a ruse to siphon off the one trillion naira defence budget. It was only when the money was exhausted that the fight against boko haram began with the enlistment of the locals (civilian jtf). It's unfortunate that greed and corruption has needlessly led to the loss of so many soldiers. Right from day one it was clear that only the people can defeat boko haram but the one trillion must be seen to have been spent!

Gej and his supporters including ijaw brats ranting on nairaland shiver in their pants on the mention of Buhari. The man got 12 million real votes with CPC- he will surely surpass that under APC especially with implosion in PDP and given that Gej's attempt to use religion as in 2011 isn't working this time around.

mu2sa2: This is rule of law in action - u violate the law and u are punished under the law. The one-day penalty seem strange because lawlessness and impunity is the order here.
lf this had happened in Nigeria the young guy would have been beaten silly by the police and maybe even by the spectators with some shouting boko haram or saying he has "stolen" the players manhood. lf he is not lynched there on the pitch the police will take him to police station and one of them will write a statement for the now accused to sign. of course the statement will be a full admission of guilt.
The next day the accused will be paraded in court and case adjourned to 3 months for further police investigation. ln 3 months time another adjournement will follow for police to complete investigation. After 3 - 5 years the accused will be acquitted and discharged for indolent prosecution. Meanwhile the guy would have been sacked from his job.
Who will bail out nigeria?

adamu50: Jazakallah bil khair. The number 9 & 30 Scoolars warned as it may lead to invalidating ones' fasting if care is not taking. Really we must immitate the sunnah of the holy Prophet but with some cautions most especially in the above mentioned. The messenger of Allah is human but not like us as Allah has fully guided and protected him against all temptations.Ibn Taymiyyah has not provide any prophetic backing as to tasting foods while cooking.
When you taste food when cooking you will not swallow it - just a little on tongue tip, not swallowed. This does not vitiate your fast.
Politics / Re: Photos Of How Nigerian Prisoners Sleep And Enjoy Their Life by HonKontigi: 7:13am On Jul 06, 2013
As a politician I know I will never be in there no matter what.Neither will my family members. We politicians and rich people dont give a damn about conditions in the prisons. That's why oga OBJ who literally moved from prison to Aso Rock did nothing to improve the prisons for 8 years.
We dont send people to prison - blame the judiciary. For now and maybe forever the prisons will remain in their present conditions because we are focused on 2015 and after on 2019, then 2023 and so on.
Hahahahahahah, some of you are talking revolution. Don't deceive yourself we will crush you with all the force at our disposal. Id.iot, bloody lazy ne'er-do-wells - we are fully in control. There's nothing you can do. And we are handing over to our children, who will pass the baton to their children. Just kuku die so that your frustration ends - and pray you go dont go to hell. Know that the big guns in the religious realm are with us so dont waste your time.

Go to salah.com and enter the name of your city and country separated by a comma. If your phone has GPS capability you only need to go to salat time and click enter - a map and salat times will appear. You start your fast before subhi time and break at maghrib time. You can even print out the salat time for the whole month.

Did 'they' (yourself inclusive) belief that they cud achieve anytin from not confronting those killers b4 now (Power, perhaps), and hv now realised that 'they' wud lose (or rather, are losing) much more if they continued on their previous CHOOSEN path? Are we looking at 'they' having a true Change of heart, or are 'they' just looking for a Change in strategy?..... Forgive me for d plenty questions plz; just Wondering aloud..
Keep wondering, even dream if you like. When borno elders, speaking for the people, told gej to withdraw the indisciplined, drunken jtf men for them to handle boko haram, he refused. The people hav now taken their destiny into their own hands and you're talking crap. Both boko haram and jtf are a menace - and kudos to the people for they will soon regain their freedom from these uniformed and ununiformed murderers.

Why are they afraid of the man? if Buhari is unpopular as they claim, let the electorate decide. Looks like they are trying to use subterfuge to edge out strong candidates. Age is a non-issue in politics- when Mandella became president of south Africa he was older than Buhari. Besides, Buhari is hail and hearty and even looks more agile than this drunkard.

Politics / Re: Tinubu Lied In London- Presidency by HonKontigi: 11:50am On Jun 14, 2013
Hate him or like him, Tinubu is a shrewd politician. As a master political tactician, he routed PDP in SW. In 2011 Gej had to enter into a pact with Tinubu for the crucial SW votes. Whether we like it or not, nobody can win in the SW without Tinubu- and without SW votes u cant win the presidential election. Tinubu is indeed the kingmaker.

Politics / Re: Military Operations In North Successful – FG by HonKontigi: 3:37pm On Jun 12, 2013
Altho it's too early to assess the current military operation as NE entirely successful, what is evident is that there is a change of tactics by the military - they are no more targeting innocent civilians. If the people had been co-opted right from the beginning boko haram crises would not hav escalated the way it did. Ordinary people were caught in between boko haram and jtf. Thank God jtf now see the people as separate from boko haram.

Which government? How can u talk of "government" from an aborted election? The bitter truth is that Abiola was unable to actualize his dream of becoming president of nigeria. Despite his boast, Abacha triumphed over him - diasppointing him and his would-be 27 first ladies. Lesson learnt: money and intrigues can't get you everything. Tribalists, pls we have had enough of this june 12 hullabaloo.

Numero uuuno: shocked question1)what's the cause of the difference between male and female cos the last time i checked, all humans have ONE head. Question2)the above states needs help or they should be scrapped and turned to local governments of some neighboring and better states
people just comment ignorantly. The cut-off marks are not set arbitrarily; rather, they are based on a number of factors including pass rate - this explains for example the difference between male and female figures for kebbi state. The Unity Schools cease to be such if students are not admitted from all the states of the federation in equal proportion.
The states with high cut-off marks just happen to have large numbers of applicants- nothing more; it's not because the the boys and girls from there are more brilliant than others.
