Very much insane, the govt has urgent issues to attend to like security and the economy, which the Bishop has continuously spoke about but instead of addressing those issues they are more concerned about suppressing the church. They should just quickly drop this silly idea because it would never work as the Lord lives.
emerged01:
Remove the trustees of the church and close the account of the church? Something is wrong somewhere.of all the problems we have in Nigeria, govt chooses to go after churches. This is insane.

You have been continually going around with this statement,I put it to you sir that you are lying. Stop propagating lies about others just because you despise them. For according to scriptures, when you stop spoiling others, that's when your own spoiling starts.Be careful sir.

Ogun State government once shut Canaan Land gates and heaven did not fall, instead the Bishop begged.

How did they fight freeze or you meant how freeze fought them?

All this pastors are just after their money.

The way they all fought against daddy freeze because he spoke about tithing sadden my heart, instead of them to channel that energy in convincing their members to vote rightly during election,so the situation of things can in Nigeria.

Leave them, let them continue,a lot of them will soon start getting the judgement they deserve. Some of them just sit down ,and when they have nothing sensible to post, they post things that instigate attacks against the church, when God starts to judge una,we will see where and to whom you will hide.
Christianvoice:

Don't mind them, these ones are not members of God's family, they are strangers.Always coming out to attack members of the family they claim to belong to. These ones are strangers, they are not true sons. When they want to start their Lamentations, they say things like"although I'm a Christian,I have to say the truth".Let me tell you,if claim to be part of the kingdom of God and you always come here to malign and attack the church of God including Pastors in the name of saying the truth, you are scattering and you are not of God.
Agboriotejoye:

Then you should have just advised Christians instead of attacking Pastors. When will you so-called Christians get sense that attacking pastors on SM brings Christianity into more disrepute. How many times have you seen imams being attacked on SM by Muslims? Right now, a lot of mosques conduct evening prayers in large groups all over the north. Have you seen any Muslim come out to castigate them?
Religion / Re: Churches Should Obey The Government's Social Distancing And Lockdown Order by Honour2: 10:04am On Apr 05, 2020
There were more pastors arrested than imams, because most times when the moslems gather the people in charge look the other way except obvious cases like the agege mosque, there are mosques around my area still opening. You people are just looking for unnecessary attention.LEAVE THE CHURCH ALONE,the church is not the reason for the world's woes, you people have made criticizing the church your day job.The church is not responsible for your misery. The meekness of the church of God is not weakness.STOP IT.
paxonel:
i'm a Christian let's say the truth. There are more cases of churches closed for flaunting the government sit at home order than mosques.

Infact, there were more pastors arrested than imams for this disobedience.

Ha,Nigerians are wicked and never satisfied. If they don't say it,you will say they not doing anything. They mentioned a very minute part of what the church did but you still complain.I fear for this country and it's citizens.

Who are the'we'.People like you have not being to church in years but imply about 'our' offering. And even if you have been to church, how much have you given as tithe and offering. The people giving tithes and offerings that you lots cry about are not complaining, those complaining are the ones who have not given anything. Without your so called tithes and offerings,God's work on the earth is greatly advancing so face whatever you are doing with your money and leave those who have chosen to serve God with their money and resources, let's also see how far you will go with yours.
iramure:
Power of criticisms, They are saving faces, we have donated enough money in the name of tithe and offering. Now time to give back.

Very Interesting, has your government that you pay tax to(that is if you pay oo)given you 400naira,that you are now asking the church to give 400million naira. I can now say confidently that most attackers of the church do it out of greed and envy, simple.
sben2308:

Pls how is this commendable ,he donated to RMC(redeemed medical centre)for crying out loud.
Why can't they say that the church is giving 400million naira to all their members nationwide. Imagine the spark this will create in other denomminations and religion if they lead this way .
Pls we are glad this pandemic is happening cuz now its shows that we have pastorpreneur not men of God .

Shamed who?who is freeze,of what relevance is he in the scheme of things. The church has been giving long before freeze and his cohorts came to limelight, Bishop David Oyedepo has multitudes on scholarship worth 1.3billion between 2012 -2019.Let me tell you freeze was not fighting for anyone,he was attacking out of greed, envy and jealousy. For you to even believe freeze was fighting for people is laughable.
sayso:
He shamed them that is why you are seeing this. They are stylishly given back the people's money back. That is what freeze was fighting for.

Some of you are possessed, you just criticize for criticism sake and some of you are conditioned to not see any thing good in whatever the church does, instead of you to appreciate what was given and keep it moving ,you had to take the dishonorable route.shame on you.Tell me,since this scourge started ravaging the earth, how many people have you given facemask, sanitizer or even some food to see them through this season, yet you castigate others who are doing it.Tithes and Offerings?when last did you give one. Those of us giving tithes and offerings are not complaining because we see God's hands in our affairs and also able to help others. Oga,the church is not your government, you are not paying your tax to them, hold your government not the church. We give tithes and offerings and God has been very good to us,We will not stop giving to God and His church,NEVER.
CAPSLOCKED:
WE'RE THANKFUL FOR THESE DONATIONS, AND WE APPRECIATE THAT THESE MEN OF GOD ARE STARTING TO GIVE BACK TO THE SOCIETY....... EVEN THOUGH WE KNOW THAT THEIR DONATIONS ARE MEANT TO ASSIST THE GOVERNMENT IN KEEPING US ALIVE, BECAUSE IF WE ALL DIE THERE WON'T BE ANY OFFERINGS AND TITHES FROM US TO KEEP ENRICHING THEM. SO THEY'RE JUST TRYING TO PRESERVE THE BUSINESS. cheesy

ALSO, I HOPE BELIEVERS ARE LEARNING FROM THIS SITUATION. THE JOKE IS ON YOU BELIEVERS BECAUSE EVEN YOUR MEN OF GOD DO NOT BELIEVE IN WHAT THEY WANT YOU TO BELIEVE, AND YOU'RE JUST THEIR CASH COW.
INSTEAD OF GIVING MIRACLES AND HEALINGS AGAINST CORONAVIRUS, THEY'RE GIVING MEDICAL KITS BECAUSE APPARENTLY, MEDICINE WORKS WHILE PRAYERS DON'T.

THIS SHOULD BE AN EYE OPENER THAT THE ONLY GOD ON EARTH IS MONEY. NOTHING WORKS WITHOUT IT, AND THESE DONATIONS FROM OUR MIRACLE WORKING PASTORS PROVE IT.

Sir,you are the nuisance for calling a man serving God and fulfilling his assignment a nuisance.some of you are so rude and uncultured. The bishop held services online for members and you are still complaining and questioning why service was held, did the government say we should not hold service, the government said we can have online service and that's what we did.we know your secret desire, you are hoping that this health challenge that the world is facing will totally stop believers from meeting together ever again but I have news for you, that is a lie from the pit of hell, this scourge will soon be ever and believers will again gather together to worship the King of kings.if you don't want to serve God,na your wahala be that but leave us alone to serve and worship our God whichever way we want to.And if you don't whatever judgement God metes out to you, that means you called for it .peace.
litaninja:
This Islam religion needs to be put in check in nigeria. As a matter of fact, religious practice in general needs to be put in check. That nuisance oyedepo is still holding a service today. These ones are causing mayhem over a prayer.
The places these religions were imported from are currently on lockdown with NO such religious gatherings.
But no....Nigerian religious people are the outsiders who cry more than the bereaved....
Religion / Re: I Just Gave My Tithe To A Beggar. Was I Wrong? by Honour2: 2:02pm On Oct 08, 2017
Sir, I earn in cash so I bring my tithe to Jesus,He is the one who receives my tithe and blesses me in return, It is not my business how it is used when I bring it. All I know is that I bring all my tithe into God's storehouse out of the abundance he has given me. He blesses me, opens the windows of heaven, rebukesthe devourer and my vine does not cast her fruit before the time in the field. I tell you I have been paying my tithe for so many years and I enjoy these blessings and more.Stop running the risk of telling people to disobey God, there is a curse attached to it. If you are not sure of God's stand on an issue, ask him with a sincere heart. What is my business with what pastors do with it, my place is to obey him and I am walking in abundant blessings.
AFONAMARO:

The book of malachi you quoted was not talking about cash.

Secondly, you may need to read chapter 2 of same malachi to understand what it was referring to. The message was simply urging the children of Isreal to repent from their sinful ways and return to God. It was equally urging them to stop neglecting the levites, as they(levites)have all left their calling which is just to serve God, and start engaging in other ventures to make ends meet, since the other tribes have stopped remembering them with their tithes as commanded by Moses.

Remember, the main function of tithe, was to encourage the levites who have no inheritance, not to make the pastors and Bishops to become rich.
Religion / Re: I Just Gave My Tithe To A Beggar. Was I Wrong? by Honour2: 1:06pm On Oct 08, 2017
"And verily they that are of the sons of Levi receive the office of the priesthood, have a commandment to take tithes of the people according to the law, that is, of their brethren, though they come out of the loins of Abraham........ And here men that die receive tithes, but there he receiveth them of whom it is witnessed that he liveth".Heb 7:6 and 8.As you pay tithe in church, scriptures say Jesus is the one who receives it. God commands that I bring tithe into the store house not to the poor and Jesus( Heb7:cool receives it, he is the one who it is witnessed that he lives.
mdokaba1:
It was a very stressful week for me as it involved lots of travels and all. So its a Saturday and I was paid for a project I did for the month past.

Going by my tired nature, I knew deep down me that there was no way I could have made it to church the next day and I was hell bent on paying my tithe because of the inherent blessings therein and the last thing on my mind would be to give it to my nebor to pay it for me. (The guy broke and besides I didn't want him to start calculating my take-home (Na sharp man). And I knew deep down that if I keep the money till the next time I would be in church, I was sure I would spend it. (God have mercy on me sha)

So I decided even before getting home to package my tithe and while in the market on a shopping spree I package my tithe and dropped it in the plate of an old beggar. (A mulsim beggar precisely)

Instantly, I saw 50 shades of shocks on her face as she looked at me for a few seconds and I could read her facials more like "For this Buharia?" Lols. And before I disappeared into the crowd, I could see/read her lips mutter prayers pointing towards me. And deep down, I felt blessed and fulfilled.

But was I wrong to have given my 10percent to a beggar instead of to the alter?

Opinions please.

Religion / Re: I Just Gave My Tithe To A Beggar. Was I Wrong? by Honour2: 12:38pm On Oct 08, 2017
God bless you sir. God demands obedience ,not choosing which of his word to obey but to obey in everything and trust that he will do his part as we do our part. That is when our obedience is complete and his blessing upon our lives sure.
illitrate:
Wrong.

It is written clearly, Bring your tithe into my store house, so that it may be food in my house. No begger is Gods storehouse.
Obey instruction if you want to pay your tithe.

Giving is good but a paracetamol cannot do the work of an aspirin. You will get the reward for giving and not tithing.

Give, and it will give given unto you. That will be your reward
And will cast out the devourer and the canker-worm will not eat your crops, You missed that bro.

You will probably be given for giving but the canker-worms will eat it.

The same way you have the right to keep shouting in our ears that God does not exist is the same way I am allowed to shout it on the mountain top that the God of Israel is alive and he rules in the affairs of men.It is irrelevant if you agree or not. So you sir, should stop trying hard because your opinion does not change him or his existence. Before and after he remains who he is.I see you are actually trying to convince yourself that God does not exist and I am not going to get into an argument with you. Keep looking for proofs, believe what you will and don't bother quoting me.What an arrogant generation of men. kisss
