Hi friends, I am applying for student permit using the new portal and was asked the following questions. I need help in answering them please.

1. Tuition fee (in Canadian dollars) (required)
(This is the total fees to be paid to the school for the duration of the program (all years of study))

2. Room and board (in Canadian dollars) (required)
This is the total amount for food and lodging for the duration of the program (all years of study).

3. Funds available for stay in Canada (in Canadian dollars) (required)

My concern: If I add the total fees to be paid for the duration of the program it will exceed the current funds available for stay in Canada for one year. You will agree with me that it is somewhat impossible to have the total fees to be paid to the school for all the years of study sitting in the account. I want clarification please! Here are my details;
The total year of study is 2 years.
Tuition fees 23000 CAD (one year)
Room and Board: 10000 (one year based on cic website)
Funds Available: 41000 CAD

Looking forward to your response. Thank you all

Hi oma22,

Thanks for your response. @SonofGod2000 and his friend will better understand the other side of the coin. Instead of them to blame Nigeria for this hardship, they are blaming a fulfilled country. @SonofGod2000, dont take this attitude of yours to Canada oooo. They dont argue blindly in Canada grin

I wish you well.

oma22:

Abeg you and your cohorts should go and sit down! This thread is for prospective Canadian students to share info and lot for bitter people that they denied! Nigerians are too entitled for my liking. CIC does not owe you visa, if u apply and get, fine! If u don’t, reapply or try another country. Don’t come here and be talking rubbish. Every Nigerian student apply for Canadian study permit is not on Nairaland, the people on Nairaland are not even up to 10% of Nigerians applying. So the fact that people on Nairaland have been getting rejections of recent does not mean Canada does not want you or there system is not working. People will always quarrel when things don’t go their way! If u got visa now u wil say the system works, bro abeg let’s hear word. People are getting study permit from Nigeria everyday. People are are getting PR everyday. If u are not here to share info go to another thread and don’t bring negativity here.

Thanks.

Hi @Chukwuemeka101,

Your observation is totally wrong. Canada doesn't use your application fee to pay immigration officers. Also, online classes doesn't affect visa applications. Canada is not Nigeria. In fact, it has nothing to do with it. Be guided!

Don't spend all your energy looking for fault in a working system, rather, spend your energy on how to get a successful application. Again, be guided. Don't discourage people and don't create unnecessary panic.

We will be alright las las! We won't give up!

Chukwuemeka101:
Now I understand why these increase in refusal...

Most schools moved their may classes to fall while some holds it online...

Even those that got visa for may was advice through their school account via email to shift their traveling to fall ....

The VOs now sees it as an opportunity to reject some applications to keep their work going...

No work no pay

The reapplication fee will go a long way to pay their salaries lol

That has been what I have been thinking after gathering information from my school website

You wrote, "If you earn 2m per month in Canada, you would spend the money on tax....", that's a lie. Stop discouraging people dude! You don't spend all your money on tax in Canada! When you pay tax in Canada, you have a lot to enjoy. For example, good roads, free health care, child benefits etc. You can't compare Canada to Nigeria. Do you know about tax return in Canada? Simply put, you can't overpay your tax and you can't underpay! Don't criticize based on your current emotions and situations!

Friends and colleagues, remember why you started this journey!? Don't let his opinion discourage you from going forward. Stick to the plan please! Learn from your mistakes and move forward. We are all in this together! We won't stop, until we all win! Your tomorrow must be greater and better than today and yesterday! Only lazy and coward people justify the reasons for their failure and negligence. Be wise!

SonofGod2000:
I understand jare. But, is that the reason they are doing like this?

Man, a lot of people are making money here. If you earn 2m per month in Canada, you would spend the money on tax my friend while here all things go.

See, let us bone them for now I tell you. They will sit up.

You are very correct. I always like your comments and suggestions. You deserve a feather in your cap.

I'm guessing upfront medical. So first Correspondence letter is for biometric validity. Second is for Port of entry.

Close your browser and try again. Also, you can try again by using another person's PC. Make sure you are uploading the latest version. Please, be calm and verify your details before submission.

I received biometrics correspondence letter on the 13th of May ( it will be two weeks tomorrow) and no response yet. Although, my upfront medical has been updated to pass. I have sent mails to Nairobi and Lagos Embassy but no response was received. I have also raised a web form but no response, too.

Evankc:

Yours is more than 2weeks and no medical update.. Have you try contacting them or send them mail and use urgent as the subject...

You are correct. Well, I don't understand the importance of the update but I'm sure they know what they are doing. I have not received any updates from them too. May the good Lord favour us and make room for us.

makano:
Instead of them to attend to delayed applications they are there doing unnecessary UI update.. who that one help?? sigh

Hi,

So sorry about your visa been delayed. However, can you share your profile and timeline. This will help the gurus on this platform to provide suitable way forward. Don't give up. It will surely end in praise.

Anamekele:
They just hit me now
Dear ...
Thank you for your interest in visiting Canada. After careful review of your temporary resident visa application and supporting documentation, I have determined that your application does not meet the requirements of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA) and Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations (IRPR). I am refusing your application on the following grounds: • I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on the purpose of your visit. You are welcome to reapply if you feel that you can respond to these concerns and can demonstrate that your situation meets the requirements. All new applications must be accompanied by a new processing fee.
Sincerely,

Your application has a higher chance of getting approved. Were you called to undergo a medical exam during the processing of your Visa?
