Please house, how can i reach out to IRCC. I submitted my daughter's passport together with mine and my husband and they have stamped ours and sent back to Lagos, but the last update we got about hers was that it has been received by IRCC. I'm worried as i thought all 3 passports would be treated together.

Can i send webform to them? Or is there a better way to reach out to them?

Hi everyone, please my first point of entry is Edmonton. Will there be CBSA officers at Edmonton airport to issue us our permits?

Thank you so much for your response.

It is not a mistake, u are a couple and y’all are one. Just explain it’s proceed from d same of land jointly owned or owned by ur husband and u decided to receive the payment into ur account since u are the primary applicant and it’s a self sponsor. Don’t panic u are in line. Just do proper and convincing explanation in ur SOP. Don’t lie abt anything
I assume u are d primary applicant, if so fine if not, it’s still self sponsor ur a couple u are applying together.
Peace![/quote]

Hello everyone, please I want to clarify something. I plan to apply for a family of 3.

My husband sold a part of his land to come up with 80% of our POF. My mum gifted me 10% and 10% is from me. When he sold the land, the payment was made directly into my bank account (I hear this is where we made a big mistake).

My husband and I are gainfully employed, and will present all our employment details, pension, pay slips and any other necessary document. My husband also has a small business he runs on the side.

We plan to present 3 bank statements which are both of our salary bank statements to show proof of employment, and the account we intend to use for POF, which is also my personal account.

Now, this is my question, is it better to say I am self sponsored but with support from my husband, backed by a letter of support, as my husband’s account balance won’t show huge final balance in it? Or is it better to say he is my sponsor since 80% of the funds came from selling part of his asset?

Please I’ll appreciate any advise I can get as to how to better present this to the VO.

Hello everyone. New follower of this thread.

I'm just about to start this Canada study process and i really want to get it right from the start, so i need honest and expert advise please.

I would like to apply with my family, that is my husband and 1 child (2years old). I am a graduate of Economics ( BSc. 2012), Chartered Accountant (ACA 2018), and i've been working as a professional Accountant since 2015. I am intending to apply for a post graduate certificate course (1 year) in Business Administration (I chose this 1 year course majorly because i can only have funds to cover our 1 yr living expense and my tuition balance + flight costs). Is this a good decision especially since i'll be applying as a family? Or can i go for a 2 yr program and just provide explanation on how i intend to come up with the second year tuition and living expense?

Also, someone told me it isn't advisable for someone applying for their family to go for a 1 yr program. How true is this?

Kindly advise.

Politics / NIGERIA TODAY "IS THIS THE CHANGE?" by horlabeesie: 12:45pm On Dec 15, 2015
After the 16 years governance of Nigeria by PDP, Nigerians home and abroad clamoured for "change". This 'change" mantra holds different meanings to different people, while some just wanted a "change" in the ruling Political Party, regardless of the people who made up the party. Some others wanted a "change" in our Political and Social Ideologies. Another set of people view the "change" to be in form of a new Leadership which would bring reformed changes to the Nation in no time.

It's been more than 6 months now since we ushered in a new Government and so many issues have come up. From accusations of misappropriation of funds, to the delay in naming our ministers, to the continued killings and kidnapped by the Boko-haram sect, to the intra-party brouhaha that happened when the NASSS wanted to choose its president and so on. One thing is obviously certain, this government is moving at a slow pace and this is all tabled at the desk of PMB. The conflicting thing then is whether the pace is good enough for the country's economy or he should hasten things up and get us to the "Promised Land".

There are 3 school of thoughts on this matter. The first believes the President can't move faster than this, they think we all need to take a chill pill, because according to them we didn't vote a miracle worker and we shouldn't expect to have one, that will clean up a 16 years rot in just 6 months, they say this is the way the change they voted for ought to play out.

Another school are of the opinion that 6 months is enough for us to have been seeing at least some visible changes in the economy in order for us to be able to sit back and relax knowing things will soon get better, so they are of the opinion that this is not the change they voted for, that Nigeria is turning out to remain the same with no change at all.

While some others like me, lol, see it as yeah, we know things are moving way slower than we expected it would, none of the campaign promises have been fulfilled yet, Boko-haram is still on rampage, Unemployment still on the high, Economic imbalance and so on. But even with all this we are still optimistic that our standing under the sun and in the rain to vote is not wasted, that our president being slow is only for the best, he is taking things one at a time and by this time next year the economy would have been better off by it all. We believe that this isn't quite the "change" we voted for but optimistic that we are still on the way to get the much desired "change.

Share your opinions. Which school of thought do you agree with.
