JOB TITLE: FLEET MANAGER
RESPONSIBLE: MANAGING DIRECTOR

Job Description:

The duty of the Operations Manager is to plan, direct, and coordinate the transportation operations within the organization or the activities of organizations that provide transportation services. It is also his duty to supervise the activities of the drivers.

Job Schedule
• Directing and coordinating, through subordinates, activities of operations department.
• Directs activities related to dispatching, routing, and tracking of vehicles
• Ensuring optimal vehicle utilization within the company.
• Monitoring operations to ensure that subordinates and drivers comply with administrative policies and procedures, safety rules,
• Monitoring spending in the department to ensure that expenses are consistent with approved budgets.
• Monitoring the movement of vehicles and giving up to date status report on vehicle usage.
• To manage Cash Link’s budget responsibilities in respect of strategic fleet activities
• Liaise with HR department to conduct employee training sessions on subjects such as safe driving, employee orientation, vehicle maintenance, etc.
Tracking of vehicles to protect its misuse by the drivers.
• Assists the management in the purchase of new vehicles.
• Ensuring Vehicle particulars and other documents are in right order.
• Planning, organizing and managing the work of subordinate staff to ensure that the work is accomplished in a manner consistent with organizational requirements.
• Analyzing expenditures and other financial information in order to develop plans, policies, and budgets for increasing profits and improving services.
• Conducting employee hiring and induction sessions (mostly drivers)
• Direct investigations to verify and resolve drivers expenses.
• Serve as contact persons for all the drivers within assigned territories
• Supervise driver’s activities.
• Any other function assigned by the company

Conducts audits to verify accuracy of records, compliance with standards, policies and procedures. • Audit payroll and personnel records to determine unemployment insurance premiums, workers' compensation coverage, liabilities, and compliance with tax laws.
• Examine and evaluate financial and information systems, recommending controls to ensure system reliability and data integrity.
• Examine inventory to verify journal and ledger entries.
• Inspect account books and accounting systems for efficiency, effectiveness, and use of accepted accounting procedures to record transactions.
• Collect and analyze data to detect deficient controls, duplicated effort, extravagance, fraud, or non-compliance with laws, regulations, and management policies.
• Confer with company officials about financial and regulatory matters.
• Examine records, tax returns, and related documents pertaining to all settlements.
• Examine whether the organization's objectives are reflected in its management activities, and whether employees understand the objectives.
• Examine records and interview workers to ensure recording of transactions and compliance with laws and regulations
• Prepare, analyze, and verify annual reports, financial statements, and other records, using accepted accounting and statistical procedures to assess financial condition and facilitate financial planning.
• Inspect cash on hand, notes receivable and payable, negotiable securities, and canceled checks to confirm records are accurate
• Produce up-to-the-minute information, using internal computer systems, to allow management to base decisions on actual, not historical, data.
• Prepare detailed reports on audit findings.
• Any other function assigned by the company
