Travel / Re: Travelling To Newyork for summer? I need a travel Budy! by Huane: 4:44am On Jul 06, 2015 |
anaifey:Ah Dis NewYork dey sweet Oooo. I have been before but never see dis side of it before. Maybe na me change inside or the city change? Both. ? Not so much like a big city in the Queens area where there is a big Nigerian community also where i saw one C & C church with their white robes and all, also other types of churches, random Nigerians walking streets speaking their Nigerian languages. Next i must go and mingle and find where to chop authentic Naija cuisine.. Or maybe just wait until i travel to Nigeria in a few months time. Prices of food in basic places are not so high compared to average around the country when i shopped at places that have stores in every state of the country. Walmart prices are the same in every city of USA including NewYork. Maybe a few isolated states like Alaska and Hawaii see small increase in Walmart prices. I went to wash clothes at a laundry facility in NewYork here and the price is not so high there. Just things like rent and home buying and parking and such. Space is not so easy to find in these dense areas, so payments are high to get in. Some pictures from my landing at JFK Airport and places i visited very near there in and around Queens area. An Underground/Subway train station, and a beach we went to enjoy for Sunday afternoon. 1 Like 1 Share

Travel / Re: Traveling To Mexico As A First Timer, What I Need To Know by Huane: 12:54pm On Jun 26, 2015 |
j4xto: Its a matter of living where there are life and work or schools you need. Mexico city and Guadalajara are d two major cities & not so far from one another. I cannot tell you where the safer areas of the cities are. Monterrey is another good size city more to the north. All the other big cities are mostly tourist cities on the ocean. Hermosillo is not so tourist oriented like others but it is a city. Desert city and it gets very hot in the winter like Sahara heat. Mexicos major business other than drug trafficking, is tourism for Canadian and US citizens who flock there by the millions every years especially in the cold winters when canada is covered in ICE . Petroleum is another big industry there along with manufacturing. If you have no clue or connections there, and you will need work and schooling, then i hope you speak spanish and it is best you start in Mexico city or Guadalajara. There are many small cities and towns to try. The cartels are everywhere with bases in Guadalajara, mexico city, and they have regions of control like the state of Sinaloa and its city Culiacan, they have the state of Nayarit and its city Tepic. Monterrey also has cartel havens along with hermosillo. No escaping their territory, but it is not an issue when you learn the areas to avoid and what activities to not intefere with. If you have reliable connections there, then follow their lead. Explore is best if you have time and money. Invest in learning Spanish if you have not already. Learning from a book can be quote different from the way they speak it there. 3 Likes |

Try the tacos at the taco carts on the streets. Try as many different sellers as possible until you find the one you like. Beware of Montezuma's revenge. You go rupture mess in your pants before you fit reach toilet. But maybe no problem for Nigerians there.. Learn Spanish language. They will not speak english or pidgin for you. Plenty beach life in that country, hope you can swim. Also plenty sea food. There are hot dry desert areas and then in the far south there are Rain forest tropical areas. Also High mountains areas. Learn the areas rampant with murders and drug cartel violence. Be sure to avoid them unless your intent is to work for them putting drugs inside you bottom hole Mexico life can appeal to Nigerians so as to not make such temptation to do illegal crossing of the US border. It can be life risking and if you survive and get caught, Mexico will not accept you back and US will deport Nigerians to Nigeria or Guantanamo bay prison in Cuba if you playour cards right. Tequila is Mexican but rum is more abundant and cheaper there. Yes, Ogogoro, dem like to drink plenty. But also beer is common. Mexican beer is not so bad. Mexico has lots of American influences, including many US big discount shopping outlets, fast & gourmet food restaurants and also clothing and novelty shops. You can find the best bed mattresses in the world in mexico, because they have been making quality ones for the USA for decades now. They manufacture USA cars there and have new ones for very good prices, manufacture televisions and many other home appliances as well. Mexican food is goood if you find the right places for it... 4 Likes |
Politics / Re: Lagos State Emergency Service Rescues Sick Woman Lying Along Amichi Street(pics by Huane: 2:13pm On Jun 22, 2015 |
Finally, some signs of a developed nation in africa... Why are people always mindlessly bragging development in Nigeria, when a woman can lay sick in the streets slowly dying over the course of days with no services to intervene? A Developed nation is able to take care of its living people, not just prop up its image with lifeless infrastructure.. 1 Like |

Its been decades since i was last in NY. Finally i will be going this summer as well. I have my guest status at family's house there. Lets post here pictures of the place when we arrive? I will make one day trip to Manhattan to photo the new world trade centre. |
Travel / Re: Should I Resign To Study In The US, UK Or Just Stay Back In Nigeria? by Huane: 11:33pm On Jun 21, 2015 |
There are so many options in life.. There are options beyond just pouring money into education.. There is the aspect of going independent in business and also search out another job while working on this one.. Something to keep your head looking beyond the daily grind of monotony.. I am approaching this from a personality point of view. Maybe your personality is rooted in a spirit of adventure or at least diverse experiences in life. Do you know that in USA, people quit $200k a year jobs and more to do nothing but wander aimlessly using their savings.. They even dare to go until they are broke.. Some are now working in health food Grocery stores and they have backgrounds as professors, corporate managers and so one.. The key is to find themselves and understand what will keep their spirit feeling fulfilled at a minimum rather than pacing a treadmill with no direction or change of scenery... Many people in USA and beyond are sacrificing money for inner satisfaction.. They learn that no matter how much they earn, it doesn't satisfy them to be in a stagnant setting for their better years in life... They would rather be poorer with the ability to wander and experience more random things.. They say the hand that is full of wood to sell, cannot be open for the opportunity to carry gold to sell when gold presents itself.. Maybe poverty is more brutal in Nigeria, so that will affect things, but honestly, i am one of those who cannot be bridled into monotony.. I would rather work on a farm or fish in the river or ocean and live simple and exposed to natural scenery and wonder despite a lower financial station.. Make your decision for school and work abroad , or business or to stay, but what may be the root issue will always be there no matter what education gained and no matter where it was attained.. You could find yourself abroad after schooling with a job offer that earns you $200k a year and still feeling that sense of monotony and no change or progress.. Nigerians are always taught to solve their problems with education towards better employment versus experience towards self fulfillment which can lead just as well to self employment that then offers employment to a new generation of workers who have that itch of fulfillment in themselves also. From rags to riches makes many a rich men fear not rags, because from the rags ,they found riches.. A Japanese CEO of a multi billion dollar company, reduced his salary to a regular workers salary during the company's financial struggle.. He went back to rags to help the company be rich again.. When the company returned from the depths, it was a triumph and he was able to benefit riches again due to the company he sacrificed for... 3 Likes |

I always have dreams like that ,where i am out and about naked and no where to hide, but i never get desperate like that girl, i just take it easy with only anxiety and try to figure out how i ended up that way and hope nobody comes to trouble me for the way god made me since birth.. Only naked people are staying true to gods work, all the rest cover themselves like they have shame in god's perfect handiwork |
